Oh, hi.
Second thread, second RMT... Well, I guess I have be more present here in Smogon.
Anyway, here we go.
A friend of mine made the team for me, then I just start switching some components. I finished with almost another team, completely different from the start. The main idea was center the team around the new Sceptile-Mega, 'cause well, he looks awesome, is pretty fast and hits pretty hard.
But on that point, I don't know if I really need him on the team. Turned out that the big stars are other 'mons now.
The team is:
Landorus-T, Rotom-W, Talonflame, Sceptile-Mega, Azumarill, and Latias.
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- U-turn
Even with a great offensive presence, physical defensive Landorus-T is working pretty fine. Even when looks i'm f*cked, he can survive some hits and, at least, U-turn back. He is my lead almost everytime because of the rocks. After that, I switch into him when I want intimidate to work. Earthquake and Stone Edge are here for coverage. Just the standard.
He replaced a Specially Defensive Heatran on my time. Has de advantage of absorbing will'o wisps, which Lando-T can't. But, as I already have a Talonflame, I don't know if it'll be a good idea to have another fire pokémon. Who should I keep on the team?
Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Will-O-Wisp
- Pain Split
I usually see people with physical defensive. As I already have Landorus-T for that role, why not a Special one? Nature, EVs, and moveset are the most standard thing ever. Hydro Pump for power, Volt Switch to left, Will-O-Wisp for lol, and Pain Split to annoy.
Talonflame @ Sky Plate
Ability: Gale Wings
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Brave Bird
- U-turn
- Bulk Up
- Flare Blitz
So op. I used a Staraptor instead of him, but Greninjas were running my team every match. Priority Brave Bird saved my life more times than I can count, and Talon easily became a key member to the team. Brave Bird is the main attack, U-turn for Heatrans and psychic types that passes by, Flare Blitz for STAB (I almost never use it), and Bulk Up for when I switch again for those Conkeldurrs fooling around.
I would like some suggestion about the moveset. I'm thinking of running no item and using Acrobatics over Brave Bird, because of the recoil.
Azumarill (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Huge Power
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Superpower
- Play Rough
- Belly Drum
The second most awesome team member. Easy gives me 6-0 victories on low ladder. Also, a very common set: Aqua Jet for priority, Superpower for raw power (I lol against Ferrothorns), Play Rough for STAB, and Belly Drum, which this set runs around. After all the threats are eliminated, I just use it and start sweeping. Also can lure some electric attacks, which helps Sceptile.
Sceptile (F) @ Sceptilite
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dragon Pulse
- Substitute
- Giga Drain
- Focus Blast
Here it is. Sceptile works pretty fine on this team, since my two main attackers are physicals. He has a lot of Special attack, and with Talonflame and Azumarill attracting electric attacks, it's become even more powerful. When megaevolved, his ability turns to LIGHTNING ROD, so, if he is hit by a electrical attack, has a boost of 1.5. I usually sub against Rotom-W or other water pokémon, then depends. Giga Drain for recovering the HP lost by subs, Dragon Pulse is f*ckn owerful, and Focus Blast for Heatran. Works nice, but is so frail... Is there a better Mega-Mon for replacement? I need a good special attacker.
Latias (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Healing Wish
- Defog
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
She's here just for Healing Wish, mainly. Life Orb to boost the power it lacks. Draco Meteor and Psyshock are the better attacks I could think of, and defog is here because I need support since Talonflame takes 50% from Stealth Rocks. I usually defog, do the most damage I can, and Healing Wish.
I'm really not sure about the EVs. Also, there is a better option for defog? Help me to find!
Well, there it is. No images because google isn't working here for a strange reason. Sorry by any mistake, but english isn't my native language. I'm starting on competitive playing, so I'd really apreciate help on natures and EVs.
Thank you, that's all, folks. >:)
