I was on the Showdown Replays site and watching a few battles. And I saw that while Mega-Hera is an amazing Pokemon, not a lot of people use it regularly and those who do, don't use it well. So I wanted to create a team around it. My first instinct was to use it with a sticky web user - effectively raising Mega-Hera's speed to 273*1.5 = 410 against those affected.
Heracross-Mega @ Heracronite
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Rock Blast
- Pin Missile
- Swords Dance
But I knew that even if MegaHera could beat grounded mons, there were plenty that weren't affected by sticky web and with the commonness of Defog and Rapid Spin, it wasn't worth it. For those unaffected those, I needed an extremely fast, hard hitter. But unless you use a scarf mon, there aren't a lot of reliable options and being choice-d, the scarfer would lose momentum if required to switch. So I went with Scarf Rachi. The flaw of losing momentum is made up for, in some capacity, by the chance to flinch and kill.
Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Heart Stamp
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Healing Wish
Lastly, I wanted a priority hitter who can come in, take a hit if necessary and sweep late game - for this purpose, I first considered Hariyama, having used that to my advantage in some degree in UU and RU.
Hariyama (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 240 SpD / 16 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Fake Out
- Bullet Punch
But this makes the team extremely weak to Talonflame and Alakazam. At the same time, the best priority move isn't even BP or Fake Out, it's Sucker Punch! So I went to Bisharp instead. I get to run Swords Dance and with the previously mentioned commonness of defog, defiant was just better. I run enough speed to outspeed Rotom-W and just in case, a lum berry (also helps to get an extra +2 when facing people who go for W-o-W with their Rotom-Ws.)
Bisharp @ Lum Berry
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 140 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance
To counter-attack Jirachi and Bisharp's ground weakness, I wanted either Rotom-W or Gliscor. For stealth rock, recovery and because I wanted to run Starmie anyway, I went with Gliscor.
Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 248 HP / 188 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Roost
- Earthquake
- Toxic
Then the aforementioned Starmie to rapid spin entry hazards.
Starmie @ Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Rapid Spin
- Psyshock
Lastly, the best defensive pokemon in the game - Milotic. With Marvel Scale raising it's defense 50%, great typing, access to recovery and haze, there is no one better.
Milotic @ Leftovers
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 192 SpD
Calm Nature
- Scald
- Toxic
- Recover
- Haze
