Turboblaze bypasses defensive abilities, allowing Primal Groudon to OHKO would-be checks like Levitate Primal Groudon and, after a boost and Stealth Rock, Fur Coat Arceus formes. Bolt Strike fries Flying-type Pokemon like Ho-Oh and Primordial Sea Celesteela, as well as Bold Arceus-Water. Glacial Lance OHKOes Giratina and Ting-Lu, while Bitter Blade is easier to Imposter-proof and provides recovery, allowing Primal Groudon to chip down its checks earlier in the game. RegenVest Pokemon like Registeel and Ting-Lu assist in weakening checks by providing entry hazard support through Stone Axe, as well as Knock Off to remove key items like Leftovers, Heavy-Duty Boots, and Ability Shield; they also provide slow pivoting. Primal Groudon cannot OHKO Eviolite Imposter even if it wins the speed tie, so it needs Imposter-proofing from neutral-typed Fur Coat users holding Ability Shield, like Arceus-Fighting.

After a Shift Gear, Primal Groudon outspeeds the entire tier, while its typing and bulk prevents revenge-killing attempts from the likes of Pixilate Mega Diancie + ease of setting up. Turboblaze bypasses defensive measures like Fur Coat and Levitate, allowing a boosted Primal Groudon to achieve feats like OHKOing Arceus after Stealth Rock and Zamazenta i wouldnt rly say this is as relevant, maybe something different? idk. Bolt Strike fries Flying-type Pokemon like Celesteela fire move already kills this naturally, might want to add psea and Ho-Oh as well as Bold nature Arceus-Water is anyone still running not +spe arc.
