Building Process
I wanted to build a team using physical Arceus-Fairy(
) and decided that Choice Band Mega Garchomp(
) was a good partner, because it fleeces the absolute shit out of almost anything that is steel or poison type. I then paired it with Registeel(
),Fur coat Eternatus(
), Fur Coat
Yveltal (
), and Imposter Chansey(
). It was fucking awful. So I talked to my goat Mewtwo's Greatest Soldier and he told me I should make Eternatus Ice Scales, he also called me Adolf Hitler. That version of the team sucked too. So I made some major changes, I made Eternatus Magic Bounce and made Chansey Magic Guard, but Chansey still wasn't pulling its weight. Then I swapped Chansey out entirely, and used Ice Scales Flutter Mane(
)in its place.
The team looked like this https://pokepast.es/b6c0e08f6e9dc51c
The team was working, but Arceus-Fairy was struggling to clean up games, so I swapped Bolt Strike for Taunt and Dragon Dance for Victory Dance, which worked pretty well, and it started cleaning games up nicely. I realized I sucked absolute dick into fire immunity Celesteela(
), so I gave Flutter Mane judgement, along with taking spikes off for Glare, because I didn't really need Spikes. Then I got bent over by a Pikachu(
) on ladder so I gave Garchomp Extreme speed to deal with that matchup. I also swapped off Magic Bounce on Eternatus, because Unaware gave me much better improofing.

Celesteela is usually fine, but Psea sets wall out Garchomp and Eternatus, so Flutter Mane needs pitch in to get it into range of Darts or Torque.

This team hates this guy, since it can pretty easily OHKO just about every defensive mon. Just do your best to get Arceus-Fairy into position ASAP, or boom it with Extreme Speed, Eternatus can also eat a Headlong, but it's not consistent enough to be a perfect strategy.

Yveltal can barely eat a +2 E-Speed from full, so just try and keep it at full and maintain rocks as best you can. This is really fucked though.

Okay, I realize it looks like the worst set ever made, but it's not. After pokemon like Eternatus, Arceus-Steel, etc. are dead, it wins the game on the spot. If you paralyze Imposter, it's easily selfproof, but if you don't, Eternatus improofs it otherwise. It's not rare to see people sac pokemon like Eternatus, which look pretty terrible into the matchup, and lose themselves the game. It's also so strong, and so bulky, that you can tank hits from anything that would live you(eleceus thunder cage does a cool 21%), and ohko anything that could actually dent you. The fairy typing also denies Dragon Tail, and Magic Guard denies Mortal Spin and Salt Cure chip, and taunt blocks stat resets. The major threats to this set are pokemon that can tank a hit and ohko you, like Eternatus, or Arceus-Steel; though, Prankster Haze, and Clear Smog/Circle Throw are also problems. This is improofed by paralyzing imposter or by Eternatus.
Packs (Garchomp-Mega) @ Choice Band
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Precipice Blades
- V-create
-Dragon Darts / Glaive Rush
- Extreme Speed
This Garchomp is slightly different from the standard 4 moves band. I chose to run Dragon Darts over Glaive Rush for 2 simple reasons, Beak Blast and Burning Bulwark. I also couldn't find a calc where the difference mattered. Across the 50 or so matches I played I lost 7 games. 5 of those were to Burning Bulwark getting Garchomp. One was to Pikachu, which is why I am running Extreme Speed, as it cleanly OHKOs Pikachu. The other loss was because it was midnight and I wanted to go to bed. Otherwise, this is a pretty simple pokemon, there's 3 sources of para, so it has a million chances to come in and boom something. This is improofed by Yveltal.
Flex (Registeel) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- U-turn
- Nuzzle
- Salt Cure
- Stone Axe
Its an AV Registeel it spread paralysis, sets rocks, and spreads chip. Nothing weird on this set. This set is improofed by itself, because most people don't like getting imposter paralyzed and Garchomp if they're cloak.
NeverLivedThatLife (Yveltal) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Fur Coat
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Impish Nature
- Knock Off
- Haze / Topsy Turvy
- Rapid Spin
- Strength Sap
Yveltal is a great physical wall. It spreads knock, spins, and stops physical breakers in their tracks. It's also quite good at improofing garchomp. However, it does make the team weak into stuff like Kyurem-Black and Pikachu, but they are luckily quite niche.
2Pac & Biggie (Eternatus) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Revelation Dance
- Torch Song
- Glare
- Shore Up
Eternatus is a solid answer into most setup sweepers, but more importantly, easily walls out imposter Arc-Fairy, while paralyzing it for good measure. Revelation Dance was chosen so that it can safely answer normalize pokemon. Glare spreads paralysis onto most anything, and also lets it easily self-proof. This set is selfproofed, but can also be improofed by Garchomp if necessary.
Goin' Thru It (Flutter Mane) @ Covert Cloak
Ability: Ice Scales
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Astral Barrage
- Haze
- Glare
- Pain Split
Flutter Mane is this team's Scales user. Though it's obviously not necessary to run scales on every team, it is very helpful on this one. Before I added it the team struggled into th Arceus forms, but thanks to Haze, I don't have to worry about that. Astral Barrage was chosen over Moonblast and Judgement, because Moonblast cannot hit Psea Celesteela, who can be an issue for this team, and Judgement losing stab after being knocked off is very annoying, as many Giratina and Arceus-Ghost carry Knock Off. Glare is chosen over spikes because I found it more useful, and Glare is overpowered anyways.
