[OVERVIEW]
Although Binacle has access to one of the best boosting moves in the game in Shell Smash, a nice ability in Tough Claws, and good coverage moves like Cross Chop, it finds itself outclassed by other Shell Smash users in the metagame due to its poorly distributed base stats. No matter how good hitting Ferroseed with Cross Chop is, these poor base stats cause it to be outclassed by Pokemon such as Tirtouga, which shares the same exact typing but has more tools like Sturdy and Aqua Jet, and Shellder, which has Skill Link to optimize the use of multi-hit moves like Icicle Spear and Rock Blast.

Binacle should make use of Shell Smash to try to transform into a threatening sweeperand then make use of moves that are boosted either by Tough Claws or by STAB. However, a Shell Smash set is better done by Tirtouga and Shellder, as they both have higher Attack stats, much more useful abilities, and better movepools.
