Holy shit welcome to my second RMT
If you're wondering which bird I am obsessing with, it's the great potoo. I have a hard time believing this bird exists, but according to the internet, it does.

Archeops
MISSINGNO ON CRACK
bird hype @ Focus Sash
IVs: 0 HP
EVs: 252 Atk |252 Speed|4 Def
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Defeatist
Moves: Stealth Rock | Taunt | Knock Off | Endeavor

Whenever I make a team, I'm always sure to add at least one pokemon that makes absolutely no sense in the current metagame compared to other options for the pure reason of being a dick. Here's an anti lead archeops. Defeatist my ass, you're going to
want low HP on this thing to do as much Endeavor damage as possible before that Seismitoad Scald burn finally kills you. I originally started using this in RU, after the Azelf ban. I wanted to incorporate a suicide lead + volt switch something + zangoose because that works for some reason. For that reason, I originally started using Head Smash on this set for the purpose of suiciding.
After I realized that tactic was shit, I changed it to an Endeavor set.

CtuZupa.png

wow. such unboosted sweep. very fuck you seviper.
Zangoose
fakurteam @ .Toxic Orb
EVs: 252 Atk |252 Speed|4 HP
Nature: Jolly
Ability: Toxic Boost
Moves: Facade | Quick Attack | Knock Off | Close Combat
A veteran from gen 5 NU, Zangoose it can OHKO almost any pokemon in the tier. Archeops's Endeavor set benefits Zangoose greatly because after your Seismitoad has 1 HP left out of nowhere, Zangoose can come in, kill your Seismitoad, activate the Toxic Orb, and proceed to render your team to the viability of an Obama administration. Originally, my plan was to suicide Archeops with Head Smash and use a minimum speed Rotom to Volt Switch into Zangoose to activate the Toxic Orb. But, you know, fuck that, I'll just Endeavor your wife and kids.

PooWQqU.png

WHO'S READY TO SAVE ON SOME MOTHERFUCKING CAR INSURANCE
Sceptile
Geico @ .Life Orb
EVs: 252 SpAtk |252 Speed|4 HP SpDef
IVs: 0 Atk
Nature: Timid
Ability: Overgrow
Moves: Giga Drain | Focus Blast | Hidden Power Rock | Dragon Pulse

Every team I make, I incorporate a starter. With Sceptile being the least shitty one in this tier, I thought that I should use it. Sceptile's main purpose is coverage. Giga Drain as a STAB, Focus Blast to get rid of pesky things like Shiftry and Bouffalant. HP Rock is useful for predicting switchins to Fletchinder, and Dragon Pulse is a great move to have when Dragalge is so ubiquitous.
mVVqcFU.png

I HAVE A SKIRT ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Golurk
Nokia @ Assault Vest Colbur Berry
EVs: 252 HP |252 Atk|4 SpDef
Nature: Adamant
Ability: No Guard
Moves: Dynamicpunch | Stone Edge | Earthquake | Ice Punch

Needing a bulky spinblocker, who else to turn to but the [insert crossdressing and/or obese celebrity] of the pokemon world? Golurk is the switch in for getting rid of pesky things like Fletchinder, Steelix, Klinklang, Magneton, etc. Golurk's purposes are being a spinblocker, being a switch in for Volt Switch users, and support to Zangoose to take fighting moves. I originally used Dusknoir for the same reasons, but then I realized that I'm a moron and I should have a ground type if I want to counter Electivire.

Alternative to Golurk
nigel_by_light_princess-d6oyrrd.jpg
.

Probopass
Nigel @ Air Balloon | Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Moves: Thunder Wave | Volt Switch | Earth Power | Power Gem

[insert reasons for Golurk here] + a good slow Volt Switch user to activate Zangoose's Toxic Orb

SCwKtQa.png

who's regi to bench press
Gurdurr
hurrdurr @ Steroids Eviolite
EVs: 252 HP |252 Atk|4 Def
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Guts
Moves: Drain Punch | Ice Punch Poison Jab | Mach Punch | Knock Off
Realizing that my team had a small problem with switch ins to status moves and making further realizations that there is a pretty cool ability called Guts, and then making even further realizations that there is a bulky fighting type available with Guts and STAB priority, run on sentences gg I implemented Gurdurr to my team. In RU, I used an AV Gallade, and this is basically the same thing but without the Psychic stuff and a priority STAB move. Gurdurr is very good support to Golurk, as it can switch in on Will-o-Wisps and dark moves.

QoGYccy.png

literally my biggest fan
Rotom-Fan
my number 1 fan @ Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 SpAtk |252 Speed|4 HP
IVs: 0 Atk
Nature: Timid
Ability: Levitate [insert air balloon joke]
Moves: Air Slash | Volt Switch | Trick | Will-o-Wisp
After considering a minimum speed maximum defense variant as support to Zangoose, I thought why not just take a cheap special Fletchinder variant. When playing with this set, I noticed that it support Zangoose anyway, being able to switch in on Fighting moves and promptly getting rid of fighting types like Sawk, Hariyama, Gurdurr, Machoke, Throh, etc, that threaten zangoose being able to sweep. Alternatively, Rotom can use Trick + Scarf to shut down most walls, like Munchlax (does anyone even use that), Bastiodon, etc.

Former Team Members:
ludicolo.gif

Sceptile is just better for coverage.
dusknoir.gif

Golurk is a better option to get rid of Magneton, a threat to the team.
piloswine.gif

Archeops is a better lead for the team, being faster + access to Taunt

Threats:
vileplume.gif

Literally Satan in a plant
granbull.gif

Annoying, but can be dispatched of by Sceptile
sunkern.gif

Just a complete monster. I can only hope Rotom can get a crit Air Slash to get rid of this entity of doom.

A surprisingly solid team. This said, this team is so weak to fast Ice Types it is not even funny. Scarf and Sash variants of Jynx basically 6-0 you, and Cryogonal is a (BAN ME PLEASE) to the team as well. I am not even sure how you deal with them, as giving them a free switch means something dies. Outside of that though, you've done an amazing job crafting a great team, and I applaud you for making a rather solid team in the current NU metagame, there are some individual flaws that should be cleared for your team to succeed though.

Frankly, Archeops doesn't do much for the team. It simply is too unreliable a set considering the commoness of Rock Blast and Scald Hax, and frankly doesn't warrant itself as an amazing stealth rocker for a team which can be considered to be mildly bulky and not completely offensive. I feel that your team can use a setup sweeper with two wallbreakers intact, and appreciates the aid in cleaning late game and I thus reccomend the use of Swords Dance Samurott. Maintaining a fire resist and adding a ice resist, Samurott acts as a great bulky pivot for a team like yours and rounds it off late game forming an interesting core with Sceptile and Zangoose. Under most circumstances I would reccomend Feraligatr, but in your case your team appreciates the removal of Grass types in order for Sceptile and Golurk to have their personal field days, rendering Megahorn an invaluable option on your water type sweeper.

Minor Changes:
Sceptile: 4 HP on a Life Orb pokemon shouldn't be, since it minimizes Giga recovery and maximizes LO recoil. Shift it to 4 SDef > 4 HP.
Golurk: It is frankly a better stealth rocker than Archeops on a team like yours for reasons stated above, and therefore run Stealth Rock > Drain Punch while using an ev spread of 80 HP / 252 Atk / 176 Spd. In terms of item, the current best options are Colbur Berry or Leftovers, and while Colbur seems dumb, it is infinitely useful against stuff like Pard, Sawk, or Shiftry, easily allowing you to remove them from the match.
Rotom-F: 4 SDef > 4 HP since it allows you to switch into stealth rock 4x rather than 3x. Thunderbolt is also far more reliable a STAB for revenge killing, and Will-O is much less useable since getting locked into it could be becoming setup fodder since oftentimes you would have not tricked yet. Thunderbolt > Will-O-Wsip.

I appreciate such an in depth response, I'll consider your suggestions.
EDIT: also I'll test it on the ladder and whatnot

i think a water-type over archeops is a good idea. however, with slurpuff in the tier now, i would try to be cautious about using gurdurr because it'll give too many easy opportunities. it's almost mandatory to use some sort of four-attack set with poison jab to be able to mitigate this issue with slurpuff while letting you chip some damage on granbull. alternatively, you could try using a bulky dragalge which gives you a far more reliable answer to fire-types and vileplume, can handle some slurpuff to a decent extent, and can still check omastar if you keep it healthy since i can see omastar getting some chances to set up. if you run some speed, you can get the jump on granbull to hit it with sludge bomb

i'm also not really a fan of a fast golurk; bulkier has always performed better for me and can help you a bit more against fighting- and electric-types that will try to get golurk with a coverage move

You're probably right about the slurpuff thing, but I've seen slurpuff on the ladder a few times and have been able to get rid of it with Sceptile. It's the same case with Granbull. Not a surefire counter, but it works sometimes. I'll probably have to change around a few things with Gurdurr to manage with Slurpuff better.

Have you considered trying offensive Probopass over Golurk? They do very similar things (checking Steel-types, being generally fat) while also providing a slow Volt Switch to bring in Zangoose and offering you a solid Slurpuff check. While you're using Gurdurr without Poison Jab, Slurpuff is a pretty huge threat that you need to account for, as it can set up on it really easily.

Some calcs:
+6 252+ Atk Slurpuff Play Rough vs. 172 HP / 0 Def Probopass: 168-198 (55.2 - 65.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ SpA Slurpuff Surf vs. 172 HP / 0 SpD Probopass: 170-202 (55.9 - 66.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

So assuming you switch Probopass into Slurpuff immediately, you can easily live any two hits before setting up or any one hit after setting up and paralyze it with Thunder Wave.

You also have Rotom-Spin as a backup Flying-type check, so it isn't hard to keep Probopass from getting pressured too much throughout the match.

Here's the set I recommend trying:
476.png
Probopass @ Air Balloon | Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe | Modest Nature
Thunder Wave / Volt Switch / Earth Power / Flash Cannon | Power Gem

Speed lets you outrun uninvested base 50s (Regirock and co), while Air Balloon helps you trap and beat Steelix, other Probopass, etc. Sturdy is a fine option as well, though Steelix is kind of a Rotom-Spin cockblock and would be nice to trap.
