[Overview]
Blacephalon has outstanding Special Attack stat and can snowball with Beast Boost and it has a super good dual STAB with a secondary fire STAB to hit some Ghost types switch-ins. Choice Specs Blacephalon is a super strong Wallbreaker with very few switch-ins. Choice Scarf Blacephalon outspeed most of the unboosted metagame. Beast Boost allows Blacephalon to boost its Special Attack by one stage after each KO boosting its late-game cleaning capabilities. Blacephalon is also super frail meaning that it cannot switch-in into anything and needs to kill its target if it doesn’t want to get OHKO back. Blacephalon is very vulnerable to entry hazard and especially Stealth Rocks. It also has a huge weakness to Dark-Types like Weavile and Tyranitar.

[SET COMMENTS]
Blacephalon acts as a great revenge killer and wallbreaker. Flamethrower is Blacephalon's main reliable STAB move. Fire Blast and Overheat help Blacephalon break through Specially defensive walls such as Hipppdown and Specially Defensive Landorus-T. This is not why you use Fire Blast or Overheat, at least on the Specs set. SpD Hippowdon is an almost guaranteed 2HKO with Specs Flamethrower and SpD Lando-T is a guaranteed 2HKO with the same move. Moreover, Overheat is not an OHKO meaning that you won’t come against these Pokemon but they can’t switch-in into you even if you click Flamethrower. Fire Blast is mainly a stronger but less accurate Flamethrower and is imo mainly useful on the Scarf set, while Overheat is an option to instantly nuke something on a forced switch. Shadow Ball allows Blacephalon to hit Bulky Water-Types and Heatran. Trick allows Blacephalon to cripple switch-ins like Blissey and Tyranitar making it harder for them to switch into Blacephalon's other moves later on. Trick is indeed super useful to cripple Blissey, but I’m unsure about mentioning Tyranitar here as Specially defensive Tyranitar is not the only set used and a decent number of Ttar are Choice Band, meaning you don’t want to trick them. You could probably specify Specially defensive Tyranitar. I would also add Toxapex in the switch-ins you can cripple with Trick (even though it’s mainly true for the Scarf set). Blacephalon appreciates Defog and Stealth rock support from the likes of Landorus-T. Lando-T is not the only Defogger, mention at least Corviknight too. It’s also worth noting that they bring a slow U-turn support which is super useful to help Blacephalon coming in. Blacephalon also likes the support from Dragapult to threaten the likes of Heatran. I get your idea there, but I would rather say that Dragapult is a good offensive partner as they can overwhelm their shared checks (Heatran being one of them), because Dragapult doesn’t really threaten Heatran on its own (unless Hydro Pump Pult).
I think you should divide this in two paragraphs. First one to describe the set and second one to explain in what kind of teams it fits and give examples of good partners. To help you doing so, here are some things you can talk about:
- Emphasis on Choice Specs Blacephalon stupidly strong fire power, being able to 2HKO most Pokemon in the tier (bar things like Blissey and Tyranitar) and thus being able to force progress against most teams.
- Talk about Scarf Blace’s ability to snowball through teams super easily because of Beast Boost + outspeeding most of the tier.
- In the second paragraph, you can explain why it fits into balance and offensive teams (forcing progress with a Choice Specs set while benefiting from slow pivots to come in for instance for balance teams).
- For partners try to think about good slow pivots, Pokemon who switch into Blacephalon’s revenge killers and Pokemon who helps it overwhelming its check or who can benefit from it tricking something.
