Its decent natural bulk grants it setup chances against Pokemon like Excadrill and Duraludon. White Herb negates the drops to its defenses that incur through Shell Smash and makes Blastoise hard to revenge kill with priority users like Diggersby and Bisharp, potentially giving it the chance to use Shell Smash again. Blastoise prefers teammates like Cloyster, Seismitoad, Keldeo, and Pelipper that can wallbreak and weaken shared checks for each other.
