* With its Gigantamax forme, Blastoise is a potent offensive Water-type threat that threatens Pokemon such as Incineroar and Landorus-T.

* Water Spout is Blastoise's primary STAB move, providing it with a strong spread move and a 150-Base Power G-Max Cannonade. Hydro Cannon is an alternative to Water Spout that provides a more consistent attacking option when not Dynamaxed.

* Ice Beam lets Blastoise stand up to Pokemon that would otherwise check it, such as Rillaboom, Zapdos, and Thundurus. While Blizzard is inaccurate, if Blastoise sets hail with Max Hailstorm, it can be a good option when not Dynamaxed. It also has the benefit of giving a stronger Max Move.

* Fake Out allows Blastoise to disrupt opposing Pokemon, possibly giving your Pokemon and ease pressure from its partner, while Shell Smash transforms it from a decent to an excellent attacker.

* Life Orb is Blastoise's primary item to boost its otherwise average offensive presence. Mystic Water is also used because its lack of recoil. White Herb can be used to reverse the Defense drops from Shell Smash. Blastoise's Speed investment allows it to outspeed Incineroar and Heatran.

[SET COMMENTS]

* With good overall bulk, decent defensive typing, and a great supportive movepool, Blastoise carves itself a niche as a good utility Pokemon. With Yawn, Fake Out, Haze and Icy Wind, Blastoise is able to disrupt the opposing Pokemon in multiple facets of the game.

* Scald is Blastoise's attacking move of choice due to its chance to burn, which is particularly relevant against prominent physical attackers such as Glastrier, Garchomp and Urshifu-S.

* Fake Out allows Blastoise to disrupt a Pokemon of its choice, either pinning it down for a KO or allowing a teammate to set up.

* Icy Wind's speed control against both opposing Pokemon is good for letting slower Pokemon outspeed faster threats like Regieleki and Spectrier.

* Haze is particularly potent against setup sweepers such as Swords Dance Garchomp and Nasty Plot Spectrier. It can also be used to reset negative stat changes to Blastoise's teammate, such as Attack drops from Intimidate.

* Yawn is a good support option to force either undesired switches or crippling status, and it is especially useful for punishing Dynamaxing.

* Sitrus Berry provides Blastoise with additional longevity, allowing it to perform its supportive role for longer. Wacan Berry allows Blastoise to take an attack from even the most threatening Electric-types, such as Regieleki. It is also useful for using Haze to clear an opposing Rotom's Nasty Plot boost.

* Blastoise's defensive investment allows it to survive Grassy Glide from Miracle Seed Rillaboom, and Volt Switch from Magnet Regieleki.

[SET COMMENTS]

Describe what the moves on the set do, as well as alternative options. Describe other aspects of the set such as the EVs and nature/item. Use bullet points for this section. The first bullet point in this section should be a brief (up to 2 sentences) on what the set achieves. The rest should be as normal for analyses.

* Blastoise is one of the few Pokemon that gained a g-max form in SwSh. Because of this, it has a niche as a Pokemon that can use its g-max move to setup a residual effect on the opposing trainers field. This residual effect has proven strong, making Pokemon like Charizard and Venusaur strong picks throughout the various formats in SwSh. It can also make use of its good bulk and decent special attack stat to tank hits in dynamax, while setting up a residual effect on the opposing side to make up for its middling damage output. (So there's a bunch here I don't agree with. It doesn't really describe what Blastoise does, in essence. The first few sentences don't really contribute to it.)

* Water Spout is used as Blastoise's primary STAB move, providing a 150 BP move that hits both targets(112 BP after spread reduction) it with a strong spread move and a . Water Spout also give Blastoise a 150 BP Base Power g-max cannonade G-Max Cannonade. While water spout relies on Blastoise being at high HP, Blastoise's good bulk allows it to maintain good HP, which can further be complemented by something like Togekiss or Clefairy, who can redirect attacks. (Combine the below point with this as they're the same bullet point, and work the point about HP dictating BP in)

* Hydro Cannon is an alternative to Water Spout as Blastoise's STAB water move. It is used for a more consistent out of max option, not relying on being at high HP while still providing a 150 BP g-max cannonade. that provides a more consistent attacking option when not Dynamaxed, as it does not rely on Blastoise's HP to deal massive damage.

* Ice Beam is used on Blastoise to hit grass types like Rillaboom and Dragon types like Garchomp. Ice beam also hits some common electric types that threaten Blastoise, such as Thundurus and Zapdos. (Rework this. Going along with something like "Ice Beam lets Blastoise stand up to Pokemon it would otherwise be checked by, such as Rillaboom, Zapdos and..." Also combine the Blizzard point into this as they're the same bullet)

* Blizzard can be used over Ice bBeam for a stronger dynamax move Max Move. It is mostly used because g-max cannonade doesn't set rain, so if you set hail you can safely use it out of dynamax. (You can reword this to be more about inferior accuracy first, maybe Hailstorm. Just not sold.)

* Fake Out is used as support when Blastoise may not put on offensive pressure, instead being used for a more supportive role allowing a teammate to setup or stalling something like grassy terrain out. (I'd rework this if I'm honest. Something along the lines of "Fake Out allows Blastoise to disrupt the opponent and pin down opposing Pokemon". Just sounds kinda weird saying "may not put on offensive pressure" because this is an offensive set. Combine with the other slashed point)

* Shell Smash is used to boost Blastoise's offensive stats, and speed, to put on more offensive pressure. This move boosts its damage output from middling to good. Shell Smash Blastoise is commonly paired with redirection, so it can safely setup. (Sounds super obvious because it's mostly dex info. If it actually does something, say it, else a one liner is better: "Shell Smash allows Blastoise to improve its already decent Speed and offensive output.")

* Protect is an obvious choice. It is used to protect from electric and grass move that threaten you, while also letting you stall things like terrain or the opponents dynamax. (Protect is rarely spoken about, if you must talk about it talk about protecting from damage for maintaining good Water Spout BP. Else just cut it.)

* Life Orb is to boost damage output, as without it Blastoise's damage is lackluster. White herb is used on shell smash sets to reset the defense and special defense drops. (Rewording this to "Life Orb is Blastoise's primary item to boost its otherwise average offensive presene. White Herb can be used to reverse the defense drops from Shell Smash.") (Add Mystic Water. It's worth mentioning the lack of recoil which keeps Water Spout's BP as high as possible)

Describe what the moves on the set do, as well as alternative options. Describe other aspects of the set such as the EVs and nature/item. Use bullet points for this section. The first bullet point in this section should be a brief (up to 2 sentences) on what the set achieves. The rest should be as normal for analyses.

* While support Blastoise has competition with Milotic (This leads with a negative, feels like a comparison rather than what Blastoise does) who also deters intimidate (Makes Blastoise sound like it deters Intimidate), it has access to both yYawn and fFake oOut. This niche gives Blastoise a viable support option, with moves like hHaze, fFake oOut, and iIcy wWind. (So firstly, be careful when capitalising all moves and such, it's for better quality and it links on the dex. Secondly, a reword in terms of what Blastoise exclusively does is would be super helpful: "With good overall bulk, decent defensive typing, and a great supportive movepool, Blastoise carves itself a place in the metagame as a good utility Pokemon. With access to Yawn, Fake Out, Haze and Icy Wind, Blastoise is able to disrupt the opposing Pokemon in multiple facets of the game.")

* Scald is Blastoise's main attacking move. While it won't do much damage, (Not really necessary) its chance to burn, and the fact that it can finish off weakened opponents is good. (I don't like mentioning this bit for non-spread moves, because every move that can do damage does this without necessarily doing more.) (Just saying "Scald is Blastoise's attacking move of choice due to its chance to burn, which is particularly relevant against prominent physical attackers such as Glastrier, Garchomp and Urshifu-S)

* Fake Out is one of Blastoise's best support moves, disrupting opponents letting a teammate potentially setup a Swords Dance or nasty plot is good. allows Blastoise to disable a Pokemon of its choice, either pinning it down for a KO or allowing a teammate to set up. It also almost completely neutralizes something like Urshifu, or another Pokemon that rarely dynamaxes, for one turn. This applies to all pokemon not immune to flinching through inner focus if the opponents dynamax has ended. (I'd prefer just to cut this, no need to go into too much detail with Fake Out)

* Icy Wind is used as speed control. Lowering both opponents sSpeed by 1 stage is good for letting slower Pokemon, such as Rotom or Togekiss, go before the opposing Pokemon. (Something about this is just weird. Sure slower Pokemon can benefit, but only in some situations. If a really fast Pokemon is on the field, then it does nothing. I would reword this in terms of faster threats it wants to drop the stats of: e.g. Spectrier, Cinderace)

* Haze can be used to reset teammates stat changes, like removing intimidate drops, and resetting opposing Pokemon's stat changes, like taking away somethings WP boosts, grimm neigh/chilling neigh boosts, and nasty plot/swords dance boosts. (I would reverse these points: "Haze can be used to reset the opponent's stat boosts, which is particularly potent against setup sweepers Swords Dance Garchomp and Nasty Plot Spectrier. It can also be used to reset negative stat changes to Blastoise's teammate, such as Attack drops from Intimidate.)

* Yawn is used for more utility by putting opponents to sleep, and either forcing a threatening Pokemon out, or making it go to sleep. (Feels very dex info-ey. I would prefer emphasising the ultimatum it puts them in, and its potency against Dynamaxed targets.)

* (Add Wacan here, I think it's used more) Sitrus berry is used for healing, to tank one or two more moves for Blastoise to support its team longer. (Sitrus Berry is used for healing. Yes it is. Try: "Sitrus Berry provides Blastoise recovery to improve its longevity, allowing it to perform its supportive role for longer.) Wiki berry is used if you want more healing, but is more unreliable on whether it will activate or not. (As above, I don't like Wiki Berry here.)

* The ev's are to survive miracle seed 252+ attack Rillaboom grassy glide, and magnet Regieleki volt switch (Just needs a reword "Blastoise's defensive investment allows it to survive Grass Glide from Miracle Seed Rillaboom, and Volt Switch from Magnet Regieleki." Just sounds a bit nicer)
252 SpA Magnet Transistor Regieleki Volt Switch vs. 228 HP / 124 SpD Blastoise: 152-182 (83 - 99.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Miracle Seed Rillaboom Grassy Glide vs. 228 HP / 156+ Def Blastoise in Grassy Terrain: 156-186 (85.2 - 101.6%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
(We don't include calcs, if you say the EVs do it, that's good enough)

* Blastoise is a Pokemon that Pprovides offensive pressure through the means of its STAB water type Water-type attacks. It is mainly used because of its G-Max form, who with G-Max Cannonade can chip the opponents for 4 turns, doing 1/6th of their maximum HP. (not sure I care about the first sentence, if we just sorta simplify further to "With its Gigantamax form, Blastoise is a potent offensiver Water-type threat that threatens [insert examples of things it threatens here]" Don't mention G-Max Cannonade here, because it's just dex info.)

* Water Spout is used as Blastoise's primary STAB move, providing it with a strong spread move and a 150 Base Power G-Max Cannonade. It is based on your percentage of HP left, meaning it can be a bit inconsistent at times. (Unsure here, I might say the next point about HP covers this fine) Hydro Cannon is an alternative to Water Spout that provides a more consistent attacking option when not Dynamaxed, as it does not rely on Blastoise's HP to deal massive damage.

* Ice Beam lets Blastoise stand up to Pokemon it would otherwise be checked by, such as Rillaboom, Zapdos and Thundurus. While Blizzard may have inconsistencies with accuracy, if Blastoise sets hail with Max Hailstorm it can be a good out of max option. It also has the plus of being a stronger max move.

* Fake Out allows Blastoise to disrupt the opponent and pin down opposing Pokemon, possibly giving your Pokemon a chance to attack when it otherwise wouldn't be able to. Shell Smash allows Blastoise to improve its already decent Speed and offensive output.

* Life Orb is Blastoise's primary item to boost its otherwise average offensive presence. Mystic Water is also used because it doesn't mean you take recoil, meaning it can keep Water Spout's Base Power high. White Herb can be used to reverse the defense drops from Shell Smash. The Speed investment on Blastoise are to speed creep Pokemon reaching 112, as it reaches 113(Pokemon reach 112 to outspeed base 100's at +1) (you need to be really careful using the term "speed creep", try using a wording like "Blastoise's Speed investment allows it to outspeed..." and give examples, as this is more clear to what it does and what it can beat). The SpA is for maximum damage output, and the HP is EV dump. (I wouldn't bother mentioning this as it's a bit wishy-washy and a bit obvious)

Just a minor couple of fixes in your "overview" point in Set 1 - like Landorus-T needing to be capitalised.

But otherwise, glad we made it. QC 1/1

There's a lot of positive ways to refer to things, eg. "incredible", "fair", or "helpful". A little flair in your writing can go a long way for engaging readers!
