Pending Blockpms for specific people

As a moderator I can't reasonably /ignore people because it interferes with room moderation but at the same time it'd be really nice to be able to get certain people to stop PMing me for a while. This might be more trouble than it's worth but it's just an inconvenience to need to blockpms for everyone when it's one user I want to avoid.
 
I have no idea if that's still the case or not, I haven't ignored anyone in years. Even if that's how it works, I think it's more suitable for a staff member who ignored someone to have the "this staff member is not accepting private messages, if you need help make a help ticket" message

Blocking PMs/DMs also blocks messages from friends, which I really don’t like. It should be a dropdown option rather than a tick box, because in the friends list settings you can choose to accept PMs only from friends and staff, yet as soon as you close the browser it blocks friends again and I have to reset it every time, which is so goddamn annoying. Pokémon Showdown has the worst PM/DM system ever, and even Duelingbook, a Yugioh card game simulator website counterpart and rival to Pokémon Showdown, has a more robust manager, that site has its own list of problems moderators that aren't always online and its filled with toxic users, so we really need improvements.

Please improve the PM/DM system, our current one sucks, we can’t even view older messages with friends, but Duelingbook lets you look at your message history.

You can use /blockpms friends to block PMs from everyone except friends, which should persist between sessions just fine. If it doesn't, that's probably a caching issue on your browser's end.
