I have made major changes to this team after I realized that it sucked.
A note, i use Pokemon Online for battles, and therefore may have a few illegal things on my team.
Armaldo (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rock Polish
- Earthquake
- X-Scissor
- Rock Slide
This thing is a monster. When i switch it in, most people switch to a counter, giving me a free turn to set-up. After a 2x speed boost, Armaldo is blisteringly fast. This thing is next to impossible to wall. The most common switch ins to wall him are rock and steel types, and even the bulkiest of these will fall to an earthquake. Hitting them on the switch and then again the next turn gives me ann opportunity to kill anything I normally couldent OHKO. With suprisingly good super effective coverage, this thing is a menace to the entire tier. Once the opponents scarfers are down, armaldo becomes an unstopable sweeper, able to survive almost any hit the opponent is lucky enough to land. This set was suggested to me long, long ago, and it took me till now to actually test it out. The result was a pokemon I could not live without. The ability to OHKO exeggutor is somthing my team really needs, and wiping out Klingklang will cripple any team.
Golbat (F) @ Eviolite
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 32 HP / 224 Def / 224 SDef / 28 Spd
Hardy Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Toxic
- Haze
Golbat usually serves as my lead. One reason is that no-one expects it, so it never has problems with counters. Another reason is that it can haze the all too common ninjask leads. Being able to take massive hits with the eviolite and then roost 'em off, Golbat makes an amazing toxic staller. Brave Bird kills off the massive population of bug types in NU. Persian and Hariyama leads also find Golbat a pain, as his inner focus allows him to toxic them on the first turn. This allows him to stall either of them to death, and because toxic is so much faster than burn, guts hariyama falls faster than ever. Anyone who sees a stall and thinks he's set-up fodder will get a nasty suprise from haze.
Skuntank (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Aftermath
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spd
Naughty Nature (+Atk, -SDef)
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Explosion
- Fire Blast
To be honest, im not too fond of this guy, but i need a bit of priority. Sucker Punch for priority STAB, Poison Jab for a reliable STAB, Fire Blast to kill steel-type walls, and Explosion to kill off any counters. Sucker Punch kills off set-up sweepers that manage to get past alomomola and golbat, and also makes it easy to slip into the role of revenge killer, as a life-orbed, STAB, 70 BP move will take a huge chunk out of any pokemon, OHKOing most sweepers after even the smallest amout of damage. It is amazingly common for steel types to switch into skuntank, specificly, Ferroseed, Klingklang, and Mawile. Fire Blast will OHKO ferroseed, as well as most mawile variants, and 2HKOs klingklang. Any pokemon that proves to be a large threat will either be on the undesirable end of explosion, or the victem of aftermath. Overall hes a nescesary evil on this team because of the huge amouts of ass that he has the potential to kick.
Duosion (M) @ Eviolite
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
- Shadow Ball
This thing is an amazing sweeper, and also serves as a wall. Ever since I introduced my golbat set to the Pokemon Online server, it became immensely popular. This fearsome zygote crushes it, along with any other toxic stallers, with ease, and sets up a calm mind or two in the process. Psychic and Shadow Ball provide decent coverage, but coverage isn't all that nessecary, as its special attack stat allows it to ohko things with a neutral attack.
Lickilicky (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 172 HP / 164 Def / 172 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Toxic
- Seismic Toss
Toxic, Wish, Protect, Wish, Protect, Wish, Protect. Rinse and repeat until entire enemy team is dead. I have yet to see any non-boosted pokemon ohko this defensive beheamoth of a... whatever that's supposed to be. A suprising amout of pokemon try to set up on him, hoping to do serious damage before toxic takes them to the grave. However, the average pokemon will find themselves balked even after a x2 or even a x3 boost to their attack or sp. attack, as i can heal for 1/2 my health with wish every other turn, and get a free heal from leftovers after using protect.
Amoonguss (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Effect Spore
EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 SAtk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Clear Smog
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Spore
Honestly, there isnt much to say about this pokemon or this set. Im not too fond of either, but find he is the only pokemon that can fill his role, in nu or ottherwise.
Well, thats the team and here is the importable.
