Bluffing in the Sand (an OU RMT)

Hi!
When I started this team, I knew I wanted make a Sand Storm team, then I realized that, to aid the SS, I should abuse the fact that almost everyone uses ScarfTar.

Team Building:

I knew I wanted to abuse weather and the metagame,
so Tyranitar was my starting Pokemon.

Then, to get the full effect of abusing the
metagame and Sand Storm, I went for TormentTran.

This is when I decided to go completely stall, and abuse toxic poisoning.

Now I had some problems with some
Pokemon, so I added Scarf Jirachi.

Now I noticed I had a glaring Ground weakness,
so I wanted something the resisted it, after some looking,
I found the perfect Poke for my team.

Now I needed a lead, and noticed a Water weakness, so I went with Celebi.

Now for the detailed overview:

Celebi @ Occa Berry
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 76 HP/180 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Stealth Rock
- Leaf Storm
- Earth Power
- U-turn

Celebi is a great lead on my team. The synergy works well, allowing me to finish off most leads.
Also, my team has a bit of a Water weakness; Vaporeon helps, but Celebi is a good backup for them.
I'd say more, but that's all it's really there for.
Moveset Analysis:
Stealth Rock: Obviously, SR helps my team out pretty good. It also allows Heatran to do more damage from Switches

Leaf Storm: The only Grass attack on my team. This is mainly for Waters, as my team may have trouble with them. It's also Celebi's best Stab attack

Earth Power: This is to take out leads such as Machamp (It doesn't do too much) and Infernape (It can do a lot).

U-turn: This is a good move on Celebi IMO, it hurts Azelf, allowing Jirachi to finish it off.
Lead Comparison:
Azelf: U-turn to Jirachi -> Finish with Iron Head
Aerodactyl: U-turn to Jirachi -> Finish with Iron Head
Swampert: Leaf Storm
Metagross: Earth Power
Jirachi: Earth Power
Infernape: Earth Power
Machamp: U-turn into Jirachi -> Finish with Zen Headbutt
Ninjask: U-turn to Jirachi or Gliscor
Roserade: U-turn to Jirachi
Tyranitar: U-turn to Gliscor
Synergy Summary:
Takes out Waters I would otherwise struggle with.
Get's Stealth Rock up.
Can almost take out every lead with the other team members help.

134.png

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 188 HP/252 Def/68 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Surf
- Toxic

Typical Wish Vaporeon.
This is a great Pokemon if used well. Almost impossible to take out, and able to heal other team members.
I wanted a Wish Passer, so it was pretty much a choice between Blissey and Vaporeon. I chose Vaporeon because I didn't want another Fighting weakness. Also, Vaporeons Water Absorb ability helps with most of my team (Half of my team is weak to Water), being able to switch in on Water attacks and be rewarded.
Also, my team really loves Toxic, and Vaporeon is great for that.

Moveset Analysis:
Wish: Need I say?
Protect: Same as Wish
Surf: A bit more damage to stuff that doesn't resist.
Toxic: This is a great move, especially on Vaporeon. The more the team is poisoned, the better.

Synergy Summary:
Takes Water hits that would otherwise harm my team.
Takes most fighting moves as well, which would harm a lot of my team.
Can heal other team members.
Spreads Toxic, which really helps my team.
Stalls great.
Greatly benefits from SS.

472.png

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Taunt
- Roost
- Toxic

Ah, Gliscor. This is a fantastic Pokemon on my team.
The synergy is great, Another chance to use Toxic is great, the ability to take out walls I would have problems taking out otherwise is great,

Oh, and did I say the typing works great with my team?
He resists Electric, so he helps Vaporeon out, he resists Ground,
so he can help Tyranitar, Jirachi, and Heatran out, he takes Fighting well, so that helps Heatran out again.

Moveset Analysis:
Earthquake: Gliscors only attacking move.
Taunt: Part of his wall destroyer strategy. Taunt, then Toxic, then slowly kill.
Roost: Instant heal. Need I say more?
Toxic: Great on this set, and this team. It helps take out walls, and aids the rest of my team.

Synergy Summary:
Takes almost any attack that would be Super Effective on my team.
Takes out walls I would have trouble with.
Spreads Toxic.
Good at stalling.
Great with SS.

248.png

Tyranitar (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP/40 Atk/216 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Crunch
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Ah yes, the star of the show. Tyranitar helps the team in several ways.
Where to start... So I send Tyranitar out as early as I can, then Curse, then just play it by ear.
I don't want to list a bunch of follow-ups,
so I'll just say how it aids the team, and how the team aids it.

Moveset Analysis:
Curse: Well, it is a CurseTar
Crunch: His only attack. After a few curses, this is insanely powerful.
Rest: His recovery
Sleep Talk: Something to do while he's asleep

Synergy Summary:
Since I based this team off Tyranitar, almost everything aids it somehow, and Tyranitar aids almost everyone.
Gliscor and Vaporeon are good Fighting attack absorbers,
Vaporeon takes the water attacks, Gliscor takes the ground attacks,
Heatran takes the Steel and Grass attacks, and almost everything takes the Bug attacks.
All of my team benefits greatly from SS except Celebi.

385.png

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 80 HP/252 Atk/176 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Iron Head
- Ice Punch
- Thunderpunch
- Zen Headbutt

Jirachi is a great fail-safe Pokemon.
It also has good synergy, benefits from SS, and kills things that I would have a hard time with.
Things it takes out:
Tyranitar
Dragons
Machamp(mostly leads)
And almost anything else.

Moveset Analysis:
Iron Head: Because it wouldn't be Jirachi without it.
Ice Punch: For those annoying Dragons.
Thunderpunch: Flying and Waters
Zen Headbutt: This is mainly for Machamp, but it has helped out some other times.

Synergy Summary:
Takes out Pokes I would otherwise have a hard time with.
Iron Head ;D
There isn't much more to say about Jirachi, because that's what it's for.

485.png

Heatran (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP/220 Spd/32 SAtk/12 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Substitute
- Torment
- Protect
- Lava Plume

Typical TormentTran.
This thing is great on this team. It benefits from Toxic, SS, and the other team members.
I've won game because of this thing.
But yeah, it's great because I send it in, and the opponent (thinking he's scarfed) switches. I get Sub up, then Torment. He's either going to Rage Quit, Attack, or Use a Stat Up move Expecting me to protect.
I generally Protect, then Lava Plume. And slowly, the opponent will die under the pressure of Toxic or Burn, and SS.

Moveset Analysis:
Substitute: Obviously
Torment: Same
Protect: Same
Lava Plume: I prefer this over Taunt, because the Burn rate. If they aren't poisoned, burn them.

Synergy Summary:
Greatly benefits from SS.
Greatly benefits from Toxic.
Works decently with the rest of the team.
Takes Fire moves aimed at Celebi.

And that concludes my team! Thanks for reading/rating!

Pretty solid team, but you should really add spikes,
I would switch Celebi to Skarm. Torment Tran is kind of a waste without spikes support,
I think Vaporeon counters the water weakness well, and most SS teams have water, ground, and sometimes grass weakness's. Nice, solid team.

IMO A Skarm lead wouldn't work to well. Think about it.
I'm going to try this Gliscor as my lead:

Gliscor (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 252 HP/40 Def/216 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
And put Skarm in Gliscors place. The only problem with that is one less Poke to Toxic.

EDIT: This is actually working pretty good, I'm just scared another stall team could do me in, but I'll see.
