Board Game Online is a board game, which you play online. Fascinating, I know. You can choose to make an account, but then again you don't have to in order to play. You can create games where people race to the finish, or just try to get as far as possible within a certain number of rounds. There's even a team option for people who can't survive on their own or just want friends so that they don't get teamed up on. There's even a boss mode under the team option, just to make people feel more powerful.
Before jumping into the game and how it works, here's a tip from the game: "Erm... win the game? How's that for a tip?"
There are several classes in the game which may or may not be offered to you at the beginning. There's also advanced classes for those people who are really good at the game (but a complete noob could use them). Each class has its own skills and passives, which can help you. You roll two dice per turn, which gives you your roll. If you have any speed modifiers, they're applied after your roll (Rolling 9 with 4 speed gives you 13, for instance). Then, events happen. This can be anything from falling pigs to ninja temples, to even shops where you can buy stuff for moneys. You can also die in this game via various means, so try not to do so (You'll be revived in 3 turns though :P). Those are the basics, pretty much.
