Boom, Baby

Disclaimer: I don't like fluffing up my descriptions, so if they seem short it's just because the Pokemon's role is limited.

BOOM, BABY

This team encases Hyper Offense in its greatness, unlike those "HO" teams with silly, useless Pokemon like S.Def Heatran and Forretress. There was almost no team building, so I'll describe it here. Okay so I knew I wanted to use powerful, fast offense so I chose Sun because it's the least-neutered weather. SO I had sun, nothing else. What do? BAM! Three sun sweepers. Two Growth users and the ever-awesome Volcaronafiremoththingthateatspeopleandthingsthatresistitsstabcombo.
Sun + 3 Sweepers sounds legit, but what about those annoying Pokemon like the awful Heatran and useless Politoed and Tyranitar? BOOM! Two trappers.
Simple, win, easy. Go team!

Ninetales is such a badassmofo. During suspect every single weather was made to fit a metagame where My Little Ponies roamed free and spammed their Pony Meteors and killed everything. Except sun. Ninetales isn't the best Pokemon, but its ability makes it the best thing since Drizzle + Swift Swim. Possibly the only thing that lacks any super-offensive thing about it, Ninetails is ALWAYS my lead. I always scout with Protect, then either attack, switch or WoW. If the weather war is won, Ninetales is only death fodder. Nothing else. But I love it because of Drought. Flamethrower is for accuracy and reliability, Energy Ball is for hitting Tar and Politoed switch-ins. I like Protect for scouting and WoW helps my sweepers set up. Air Balloon lets me avoid stray EQ's.

asdfghjkl;'DUGTRIO. His only goal is to destroy things holding my sweepers back. No one uses him anymore. Easily the greatest help to sun teams out there, he's my Weaktran stopper. And SR user. I use the Reversal set because it lets me beat Tyranitar alot easier. Having no spinner fucks me over sometime because it breaks my Sash, but whatever, shit happens. Sucker Punch give Dark + Fighting coverage I guess, but it's mainly for things I don't OHKO with EQ or Reversal. Dugtrio usually dies early, as he's my primary trapper and kicks ass, I guess. WOOHOO Dugtrio.

Wobb is the best thing that people don't use. He is the primary stop for weather starters, but he can't take on the set up sweepers Dugtrio can because he doesn't have a Focus Sash. I EV'd him to take a CB Crunch from TTar and a Specs Hydro Pump in Rain from Politoed. I can use the appropriate move and easily get rid of either. Encore and Safeguard work well together to let me get a sweeper in to set up without troubles.

I love Venusaur. He's my team's first sweeper and destroys everything. The EVs let me OHKO 252 HP Rachi at +2 with EQ and hit the 500 Speed tier. The rest is dumped in SpA for moar power. I use mixed Growth with altered EVs because it lets Venusaur clear through teams like 1 2 3. EQ is for coverage on Steels, HP Ice lets me hit Dragons and SolarBeam is so powerful. I don't know why people don't use SolarBeam on HO sun teams ;-; Venasaur is an incredible early-game clearer but he can work at anytime in the battle. I have to watch out for Skarm, Bronzong and Air Balloon Heatran when using this. TTar isn't the biggest problem though because EQ 2HKO's. To use this set, don't ever switch out, just hit hard and fast. Venusaur isn't supposed to last and neither is this team.

Venusaur and Victreebel are tremendously similar in function. The only differ in coverage, and that Venusaur is mixed. They both try to set up Growth quickly then sweep with the uber-powerful SolarBeam. Weather Ball is great coverage, and a 150 BP move is undeniably powerful. HP [Ground] is just for Tran, because I hate him. The EV's let me be powerful and beat that important 500 Speed tier again. I love Victreebel, and it works best in a dual sweeper situation with Venusaur. All Victreebel needs to do in a game is set up and then it can pretty much sweep with ridiculous power. I need to be careful about Dragons when I use this though, as the flying ones resist all of my moves. Victreebel and Venusaur do it what the other hates. This can destroy wall pairings. The only problem is that the two are extremely similar, so if they can easily counter Venusaur. CB Scizor is a good example of this, but I can beat him with either Wobb or Dugtrio.

Damn Volcarona, you scary. Well it is once Venusaur and Victreebel have destroyed a team. This is that standard "youcan'tbeatmeimmalastforever" Volcarona set. This entails limited coverage but enough bulk to tank just about any attack in the metagame while heal with Morning Sun. This guy is ONLY supposed to come in when a sweep is in sights. Once you put him in he doesn't switch out. It is better to revenge with this team than switch out, so remember to use him after Venusaur and Victreebel can clear the way clean for a nice sweep.

Team notes

♦ This is HO and remember that when playing. There aren't supposed to be switch ins to threats, only ways to take advantage them sitting there after a KO. Use these valuable opportunities to set up, and never waste them.

♦ Weather starters are your biggest enemy, so try to lure them out using some death fodder Pokemon and lead with Ninetales to make sure they have to come in and do something. A good player will see through this, but you need opposing weathers gone to work effectively.

♦ This team effectively works in two stages.
Stage I
Ninetales, Venusaur, Victreebel and Dugtrio all try to stop threats that would cause the team general problems through heavy damage

Stage II
The remaining sweepers try to get in and set up whenever possible and clean up the opponent's team.

♦ The team's goal is to damage the opponent, not stall it out like some other "HO" teams. Remember that when playing.

♦ Use SolarBeam often.
