Roserade (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 120 SDef / 136 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Energy Ball
- Protect
- Hidden Power [Fire]
This Roserade is my lead, this allows me to take a couple hits to set up my spikes. Protect is for scouting purposes and Energy ball is for STAB and hidden power fire is just for type coverage. I didn't want dual spike coverage because I really didn't see the benefit for toxic spikes on my team plus I really wanted protect just to scout. With Roserades bulk on this set I can use this guy for fodder later on if I need to.
Milotic (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Scald
- Recover
- Toxic
- Ice Beam
All I can say about Milotic is wow. I watched a couple of UU battles from Wilechase and I saw how his Milotic just completely took hits like a pro. I added this bulky water to be my special Wall. I chose scald over surf because since this is a special wall some physical attacker might come in and set-up and a burn would cripple that attacker. Toxic just for other bulky waters like Milotic.
Heracross (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Swarm
EVs: 16 HP / 240 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn
Once again I saw this set from Wilechase when he was battling UU. I really liked how sub with 3 attacking moves worked on heracross. Predicting the switch I can sub up and basically get a free hit on anything that comes in. Heracross hits hard. I might switch to a choice band though haven't really tested that yet but will in the future. I don't like it though how CC is the only move with 100 percent accuracy because sometimes I miss and break my sub. So is there any other moves that can go on Heracross that are more reliable or probably I will have to suck it up and deal with it.
Victini @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- V-create
- Wild Charge
- Brick Break
- U-turn
Hands down my most useful poke in UU. With a choice scarf it can revenge kill basically any pokemon. V-create is an absolute monster of a move. Wild-charge really helps with the pesky Milotics. This poke basically is a late game sweeper when walls are down. I bring my Victini in and it sweeps.
Zapdos @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Heat Wave
- Roost
I really don't know why I have this poke on my team. I basically just have this one on my team because I noticed that most of my sweepers are physical so I needed a special attacker. Zapdos is pretty fast and has semi- bulk + roost so I can count on surviving a long time through the battle. I will definately consider replacing Zapdos though because he doesn't really seem useful in the battles I have played.
Donphan (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
This is my other lead if I don't like who is going against Roserade. Donphan is my favorite pokemon of all time so I love this guy hands down. I sometimes lead with him because a lot of people may think he is a defensive set and set-up hazards of some sort and I hit them really hard with a max attack earthquake. I have max hp to provide some sort of bulk against physical hits. Rapid spin to take care of hazards. Stealth rock to predict switch. What I don't like is how I dont have a phaser on this team. So I am thinking of getting ride of roserade and getting froslass maybe.
Overview: So basically what I really need help on is building a team that is balanced and doesn't have any weaknesses. So I am really open to anything you guys recommend for this team. I really am not good at putting teams together and finding synergy is really difficult for me. And what I really noticed that Scarf Flygon destroys my team if milotic isn't at full health and shell smash pokes with white herb basically sweep my team if I don't predict correctly. So yeah any advice/criticism would definately help me. Thanks guys.
