Braviary is Scary

This is a team that I made which allowed me to try out a sub bulkup Braviary set (I got the idea for it from thecanadianwifier). With Braviary I used two other threats, Sawk and Charizard. And I used my two favourite pink walls, Lickiliky and Alomomola, and I put Armaldo in with them two in order to get my rocks up and spin. The main objective of this team is to start of will some hard hits from Sawk and Charizard and switch to one of my pink walls when I'm threatened. I bring my Armaldo out when I have to spin away rocks and when their spinner is down (rocks are not necessarily a priority mainly for if they have a lot of things on their team that are weak to rocks). Then in the late game when Braviary's checks and counters are down or weakened this monster come in and sets up all over the opponent wrecking havoc on the remainder of my opponent's team.

Lickiliky @leftovers
Trait: Own Tempo
Nature: Calm
252 HP/ 252 SpD/ 4 Def
Protect
Wish
Heal Bell
Dragon Tail

This guy absorbes special hits in NU almost like Blissey would in OU, but the benefit is that it can take some physcial hits as well. I like to bring this guy in on Liepards so that when they swagger me thinking that they can start getting lots of confusion hax, guess what I don't get confused (and thanks for the +2 dragontail). Once I have my Lickiliky in I can knock away threats, mainly special ones, cleric my team and send of some bulky wishes to sweepers such as sawk. Dragon tail can also be useful late game once my rocks are up and the pokemon threatening Lickiliky are KO'd. It will shuffle my opponents pokemon around and get rocks damage on them.

Alomomola @leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
Nature: Impish
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 SpD
Waterfall
Knock Off
Toxic
Mirror Coat

This is a set that many of you may be saying to yourself, what was he thinking with mirror coat??? Well while it is a little gimmicky and weird many people do not expect it and with proper prediction I can deal massive damage to special walls. Lets lay Gardevoir comes in all high and mighty thinking that it can threaten me out bar a specs t-bolt I can take any hit from it. Then I take whatever move it wants to hit me with and retaliate with a mirror coat, et voila, that's one more dead Gardevoir and I can just get my health back with regenerator when I switch out. Toxic is the obvious move in order to where down other pokemon, water fall to get some damage off, and knock off to remove pokemon's items such as choice items, lefties, and eviolites.

Armaldo @ leftovers
Trait: Battle Armour
Nature: Impish
252 HP/ 252 Def/ 4 Atk
Stealth Rocks
Rapid Spin
Stone Edge
Earthquake

This guy is really just used to get rocks up, spin, and maybe get some damage off before I go down. I would rather use my Alomomola for taking hits but this guy can come it on some threats and deal a bit of pain before he dies. Stone Edge is the obvious stab that hurts flying, fire, ice, and bug types. I chose to use earthquake over X-Scissor so that I can hit poison, steel, and rock types instead of having just being able to hit psychic and dark types.

Sawk @ choiceband
Trait: Sturdy
Nature: Jolly
Close Combat
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Ice Punch

Banded close combat... by god it is powerful. 2HKO on Alomomola and OHKOs so many other pokemon that do not resist it. This is a rather standard set but it is so effective, be it early or late game. It was great coverage and only bulky ghost and psychic types (which are rare) can stop it. The sturdy is a panic button that I can use should someone set up on me. I will be able to come in and take a hit before I retaliate and massacre the setup threat. This is one of the reasons why I try to keep my side of the field clear with Armaldo.

Charizard @ lifeorb
Trait: Blaze
Nature: Timid
252 Speed/ 252 SpA/ 4 Def
Focus Blast
Air Slash
Fire Blast
Roost

Well this bro is a good effective special sweeper. I get good coverage with it and am able to hurt a lot of things with him. While he is not as important as my Sawk and Braviary I still try and keep him alive in order to kill off threats and smash some walls. With life orb and 4x weakness to stealth rocks Charizard takes damage very fast so I keep roost there in order to get its health back during the battle.

Braviary @ Leftovers
Trait: Being the Ultra Beast
Nature: Careful
252 HP/ 252 SpD/ 4 Def
Substitute
Bulk Up
Roost
Brave Bird

I come in late game, wings flapping as I give out my cry. The opponent strikes but Braviary laughs it off as he takes little damage with all his bulk investment. He sets up a sub and starts bulking up. He roosts when he's hurt and he just keeps on setting up until it is time to launch off super powerful brave birds. Braviary is the star of this team, he has swept more team than I can count and has saved my team so many times when things are looking down. These include 6-0 sweeps where the opponent is decimated in several turns to having been down 1-4 and coming back to win the match. He does not get OKHOd by t-bolts, bar specs Elektross. So overall I love this bird and he is extremely effective and I recommended that you use him.

Well there it is. Please rate and give me feedback on how to improve my team. Overall I have gotten to about 1750 points currently only Showdown's NU with this team.

you don't really have a solid way to deal with choice band sawk. it can potentially score a 2HKO on alomomola with some hazards up, and despite you having armaldo, competent players using offensive teams can make it difficult for you to spin. in addition, you don't really have solid switch-ins to many flying-types that can also potentially pressure alomomola with hazards.

one thing you could do is run alomomola's standard set so that it could actually take on some of the physical attackers. however, alomomola stacks weaknesses with your other team members, so what i'm recommending is misdreavus so that you have a reliable answer to sawk, and an alternative option to deal with musharna since relying on lickilicky isn't the most reliable method.

additionally, using mold breaker on sawk can help aid your team members by having it threaten almost any stealth rock setter with an OHKO. with this offensive pressure that sawk can provide, you can free a slot to replace armaldo. this is where i would place golem for a number of reasons. for one, it provides an important resistance to flying-type attacks that your team lacks. second of all, it provides an electric-type immunity with its ground typing, which really helps so that pokemon like rotom-a can't freely volt switch against your entire team (especially against your charizard and braviary).

finally, braviary could shift some special defense to speed for speedcreeping purposes. 252 hp / 240 sdef / 16 spe can be used to get the jump on other uninvested base 80s, while 252 hp / 192 sdef / 64 spe is helpful to outpace 252 spe neutral base 55s, such as ampharos.

Hey there, nice team! Hope I can help.

First off, your team is very weak to Choice Scarf/Choice Specs Rotom-S (and electric types in general). Rotom-S hits Braviary, Charizard, Sawk, and Alomomola hard with his STAB attacks. If Lickilicky dies, you're pretty much screwed against Rotom-S or other Electric types. In order to help patch up this weakness I'd suggest Rock Polish Camerupt over Charizard.

[pimg]323[/pimg]
Camerupt @ Life Orb
Trait: Solid Rock
Nature: Modest
40 HP/ 252 SpA/ 216 Sp
-Rock Polish
-Fire Blast
-Earth Power
-Hidden Power Rock

Switch in Camerupt on a predicted Electric move, use Rock Polish and sweep away. The speed EVs are for, after a rock polish, outspeeding everything up to base 105 speed, which includes things like Charizard and Sawsbuck.

Another issue I have with your team is that you have no Choice Scarf user, which is usually very important. For that reason I would suggest changing Choice Band Sawk into Choice Scarf Sawk. There will be a drop in power, but I think having a better revenge killer is worth it.

Good luck with your team!

Cool Team!
Along with the changes mentioned above, I suggest switching the Defense Evs on Armaldo to Attack and switching Earthquake to X-Scissor. Mirror Coat is not a safe method for stopping psychic types. The standard offensive Gardevoir carries psychic, focus blast, and thunderbolt and a good player could wreck this team up.

Alright thanks for the feedback I will mess around with the suggestions that you guys have recommended. In regards to mirror coat it is only really used should lickiliky go down and I am in dire straights against a special attacker. With regards to chaining eq to x-scissor I find that I preffer to use eq as it allows me to hit other walls such as probopass and golem.
