Moltres and Altaria are both Pokemon with extreme vulnerability to common bulky waters, so the team aims to abuse those through the usage of Toxicroak. Toxic Gligar helps cripple things like Swampert and Seismitoad, while Refresh Mega Altaria can facetank some burns. Krookodile does Krookodile things, and Empoleon glues the team together thanks to Roar letting it soft check things like sub Volc, sub Kyurem, and most NP Celebi

Terrakion is a monster that attracts gligar in. It can get rocks up v molt, empo, toxicroak, and then switch into kyurem as gligar tries to clear the rocks. This gives kyurem the chance to sub up or earth power predicting empo to come in. With these two dismantling the glue mon they can make a nice path to victory. The only thing these two fear is malt after it finds a chance to dd, which wont be easy.

Mamoswine is a very formidable threat vs this team, consistently keeping rocks up vs Gligar and hitting a solid chunk of the team super effectively. It can tank even a +1 return from Altaria if needed

and can stomp most of the team with some combination of ice and ground moves, easily OHKOing Gligar and Empoleon from most ranges and doing solid damage to Krook with ice shard even if intimidated.

Rotom-H is here to fill out the edges, being faster than Toxicroak, being able to take at least 1 unboosted hit from it (So it can switch in and KO with overheat) and doing well vs the likes of Moltres and Krook too. Pain Split lets Rotom sustain itself even if it loses it's Iapapa Berry to Krook's knock. I hope you like the core!

Nihilego comfortably walls Mega Altaria (due to lack of Atk investment and mono-attacking) and Moltres on this squad which threaten Kommo-o and picks up the 2OHKO with Sludge wave and T-bolt retrospectively. Black Sludge + Protect lets you easily check both Pokemon and scout what Krook locks itself into and punish accordingly. Also threatens out the Empoleon with T-bolt on the switch.

Kommo-o shuts down Gligar and Malt with Taunt on the switch forcing them to lock into their mono-attacking moves or double. Devastating Drake + Clanging Scales 2OHKO's Gligar if Altaria isn't mega-evolved yet. Close Combat is the secondary stab move that threatens Empoleon and Krookodile. Stealth rock can easily be set-up on the switches it forces or on Gligar + Empoleon. Also opens up the slot for Nihilego to run Protect.

Dual-dance Terrakion can do so much work on this team if the correct dance is predicted. The intent of the core would be to bring Terrak in on Moltres or Empoleon, both who fear its STABs. Rock Polish outspeeds Krookodile as the switch in from Moltres, while a Swords Dance threatens Gligar on the switch in from Empoleon with Rock-Z.

Starmie picks up on the areas that Terrakion can't hit. While Terrakion has a one-time nuke to essentially guarantee the KO on Gligar, Altaria, Moltres, and Toxicroak, it has to rely on inaccurate Stone Edge for the rest. Enter 4-attacks fast LO Starmie, packing Ice Beam for Gligar and Altaria, STAB Psychic for Toxicroak (and a Terrakion partner to discourage Sucker Punch strats), Thunderbolt to help against Empoleon, and Scald for reliable stab and burn chance on Altaria, forcing it to waste a turn on Refresh. Thunderbolt could be replaced with RS to support the rest of the team, but in supporting Terrakion, chipping Empoleon helps.

Voting for small small rose. Moltres is forced to Roost on every Crash, which is very free vs this team the one mon resistat to it really doesnt want to take a Life Orb Adamant EQ. Rotom grabs free momentum vs Moltres and Alt too which doesnt really help.
