National Dex Bringing my Weather hyper fixation to NatDex

Hello all, I'm Queen and I love weather! I can't get enough of sun, rain, hail and sand. Especially sun, as you'll see. I love that one. I mainly play SV OU, but I've recently explored other metagames, with my favorite of them so far being NatDex! This made it so I had no choice but to bring my sun loving self over to the format, and I've created a team I'm very happy with and love a ton. I would love to improve the team if possible though, since as much as I love Smogon and weather, I'm not a pro in any sense, and I'd love to become better and better until I master weather. Here's the Poke paste for the team I've been using for the past few months: https://pokepast.es/184c31ccd7fc08b5. I'll explain the movesets and stats in this post, but if you'd like a more in-depth look, a visual aid, or even to use the team yourself (and if you do thank you so much), the pokepaste can help you :)

Starting off with the backbone of the team, and one of the reasons I wanted to start playing Natdex, Mega Charizard Y:
While Zard isn't, the team's main weather setter, being able to switch in on a setter for opposing weather and pop the mega evolution to get sun guaranteed, and having a 2nd weather setter in general is an amazing asset to have. Zard's main utility though, is doing a Jinx impression and destroying everything in sight. With a destructive and diverse triple attacking set of Weather Ball, Solar Beam, Scorching Sands, and Roost, Zard is able to fire off immensely powerful attacks while healing off possible Stealth Rock damage and take advantage of any Pokemon to afraid to stay in. Many, many, Pokemon are rightfully afraid of this behemoth, as even resists can get destroyed by a sun boosted weather ball

Speaking of absolute brute force and sun boosted destruction, we have Liligant H. While Liligant doesn't have weather ball, she does have Solar Blade, which is just as if not more dangerous then the mini suns Zard is throwing out. Speaking of Zard, it's Solar Blades and rock resistance make it a great partner for Zard as it can switch in on rock attacks and fire back with the power of a neutron star. Add even more destruction with powerful stab Close Combats, and Tera Fire Tera Blast, and almost nothing can switch into Liligant safely, especially with Clorophyll, and especially especially with a Swords Dance boost. Games have been won on the spot by Liligant H getting a Swords Dance up, it's the teams main physical attacker and by God, its a spectacular wall breaker. I love Liligant so much and I'm so happy to have it pull its weight and then some on one of my all time favorite teams.

Continuing with the trend of sun boosting monsterours sweepers, we have Venesaur. Taking advantage of Growth to get a plus 2 boost to it's SpA on top of its doubled speed with clorophyll, and Venesuar can serve as another sweeper, this time being able to tank powerful attacks before firing back and even healing the damage off with Giga Drain. Add on Eath power and Weather Ball? It's ggs after a growth, and sometimes even without a boost. This leaf frog is a monster.

And now we have the 4th and final sweeper of the team, Volcorona. While it's not as reliant on the sun as the previous team members, it's still a beast of a Mon, with even a single Quiver Dance being able to win a game on the spot. Flame thrower, Giga Drain, and HP Ground allow it to threaten basically everything and rip apart teams with or without sun being up. That's not saying it doesn't love the sun, if you've never been hit with a QD and sun boosted Flamethrower from this thing, consider yourself lucky.

Wrapping up the last 2 team members, we end with the team's vital defensive mons. Sadly, I can't just go full blast offensive all the time, so it's great to have these guys on the team to make sure I don't get blown up, and to make sure I get to blow up the opponent.

First, we have Great Tusk. WIth Earthquake, Ice Spinner, and Body Press, Tusk can put off very good damage, but it's main utility comes from just how tanky this thing can be. out of the sun, this thing is already a defensive monster, but with a sun boost activating Protosynthesis, Tusk can live almost any physical attack, even super effective ones. With this good damage, unrivaled physical defensive, and amazing utility of Rapid Spin protecting the team (mainly Zard and the next team member) from the dreaded Stealth Rock. Whether it be OU, Ubers, or NatDex, no one is safe from the Tusk

We started with a sun setter, and now we end with a sun setter. It wouldn't be a sun team without my love Torkoal. With Drought and the Heat Rock, torkoal can give the team a whopping 8 turns of sun with every switch, keeping the sun up as much as possible and offering great utility besides the weather. Lava Plume is always nice, with it's great, consistent damage, especially with the sun boost and burn chance, and Body Press is obviously incredible on a Pokemon with a defense stat like Torkoal. Along with that great pair of attacks, Torkoal also has the incredible Toxic and Stealth Rock. Toxic allows defensive walls (namely opposing Great Tusks) to be opened up for it's more offensive team members, and Stealth Rocks don't need an introduction, they're Smogon's tried and true.

That's it for my first NatDex team, thank you for reading this long yap session of a RMT, and thank you again if you choose to give any thoughts and/or advice on the team. I've been Queen, and I hope you have a great day and stay safe in this new and scary America :)

Hi there really cool team I like sun as well! However there is a few changes I’d like to make.

1. I feel :torkoal: isn’t needed here I think soon functions pretty well with even just zard.

So I opted to put :iron crown: on your team. Why iron crown you may ask? Well firstly it helps vs very annoying stuff for your team like scarf :tapu lele: resisting both its fairy and psychic stab.

2. I opted for :raging bolt: > :volcarona: a much better fit on sun and gives you a much needed water resist since I don’t really consider :venusuar: one since it wants to sweep and not take damage especially factoring in life orb. Raging bolt also gets an immediate power boost with Sun draconium z is an automatic nuke button for nuking theoretical switch ins like :landorus therian:

3. I opted for bulk up :great tusk: it can turn into a terrifying sweeper if played right. The other tusk just felt too passive for a team that wants to be offensive:

4. Since tats just got banned yes you heard that correctly I opted for triple axel on your
:Lilligant-Hisui:. You hit stuff that’s annoying for sun like :dragonite:

New paste https://pokepast.es/d09ba0cf3078a83f hope you like the changes
