Brogan's OU team ~RMT~

I ran a few quick shoddy matches to try out this new team I had meshed together in about 10 minutes. At first I figured it would need more work but I seemed off to a good start and before I knew it I was 7-0, which made me consider using this team.

Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Focus Punch
- Shadow Sneak
- Ice Punch
I have a dusknoir lead because it can utilize the notorious SubPunch strategy very well, especially at the front. Immediately off the bat, i use substitute, almost every time I can get away with this, due to the fact that almost everyone leads off with stealth rock or a fast lead. Dusknoir's pathetic speed allows him to always set up a substitute, and since he's so very bulky, it allows for him to almost always live with above 25% HP guaranteeing a substitute. You know what comes next.

Gyarados.png

Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 156 HP/72 Atk/96 Def/184 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Taunt
- Waterfall
- Stone Edge
Gyarados is a huge asset to this team, he forces switches with taunt, and allows me to set up for whatever comes next, intimidate and Gyarados' unique typing help this (Along with his bulkiness) He can Dragon Dance up on a switch which guarantees him priority to scout, do damage, or whatever float your boat. Him and Sally both have Intimidate so if anything becomes too much of a threat it gives more of my tanks (Skarmory) a chance whirlwinding it away.

Gengar (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def/252 Spd/252 SAtk
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Gengar, here we go. Overlooking my team this was originally a Lucario, but I realized the lack of heavy special attackers. What else would have come to mind except this little guy? He's very easy to switch in because of Tyranitar's weakness to ground, I can predict an earthquake and just send him in and do work. The only problem is that this puts two ghost types on my team, rendering my team semi-weak to an Umbreon, or Scarf Houndoom. I prefer specs over scarf because of Gengar's "glass sweeper" status as I like to call them to finish the job and get out as quickly as possible. Gengar's speed is already really good, the only thing it seems to lose to is other Dusknoir's and Gengar's

Skarmory (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Keen Eye
EVs: 252 HP/64 Atk/176 Def/16 Spd
Impish nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
First of all, can I say what a beast. Skarmory's defensive side is so ridiculous it helps me sleep at night knowing it owns so much, it's amazing typing cancels out majority of flying's weaknesses like rock and ice, although allowing fire into the picture may be a problem. Here's how he rolls, throw down some stealth rock, and just whirlwind away on a predicted switch and keep your HP up with roost. Golden.

Tyranitar (F) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Pursuit
- Earthquake
Okay, let me begin by saying I'm not much of a Ttar fan at all, his horrendous typing just ruins him and along with his mediocre speed. This is where the scarf came in handy, with this baby he can now outspeed other OU powerhouses and always come back for more. I believe my strategy with him also lies on a get in and get out sort of way because so many Pokemon have super effective moves on him. Sandstream allows Skarmory to stall even more and it cancels out the leftovers effect which makes stealth rock that much more effective.

salamence.jpg

Salamence (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 16 Atk/252 Spd/240 SAtk
Naive nature (+Spd, -SDef)
- Draco Meteor
- Earthquake
- Fire Blast
- Outrage
Where do I even begin? Sally's off the chain move pool and ridiculous stats allow him to pulverize anything he wants. Two STAB moves with over 100 base power on both spectrums allows him to kill WHATEVER comes in. I usually start off with a meteor and continue to outrage until he is confused, then I store him for another go at it. Earthquake and fire blast are there to hit those pesky steel types like Scizor or Magnezone which resist the powers of his awesomeness.

Something funny hahahaha

Yuck, two ghosts.
Gengar is such a better lead than Dusky, and I don't even know why you're using him. Do you know how many leads carry taunt? How do you set up a sub then?

If Gengar isn't a good lead for you, he should be a good revenge killer, because scarf-tar isn't gonna cut it. Have you noticed bulky gyara is specially EV'ed to outspeed scarf-tar after a DD? Put a scarf on Gengar and a choice band on T-tar and you should be able to kill so many more threats.

Finally, Skarmory wants a shed shell to escape Magnezone. 'nuff said.

It would be better to lead with something that has SR and then have skarm to set up spikes if you want skarm in the team. Dusknoir isnt to hot of a lead. Maybe lead with heatran and give skarm spikes over SR?
