Dragon Sweeping Support
########
name: Dragon Sweeping Support
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Gyro Ball
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Hypnosis / Earthquake
ability: Levitate
item: Leftovers
nature: Sassy
evs: 252 HP / 208 SDef / 48 SpA
IVs: 0 Spe
Moves
========
-Stealth Rock is very important to this set. Many dragons that he goes after take 25% on a switch in from Stealth Rock. Bronzong has the bulk to set reliably without requiring sturdy or a focus sash.
-Hidden Power Ice is for Mega Garchomp specifically, but will also allow Bronzong to beat Gliscor, Salamence and Dragonite.
-Gyro Ball allows Bronzong to take out Tornadus-T in two hits. He can beat any Tornadus not carrying heatwave or if rain is up. Aerodactyl and Terrakion are both knocked out by gyro ball in one hit. Fairies are also going to fear Bronzong and be unable to use him as an easy switch in to support their teammates.
-Hypnosis allows Bronzong to take care of many of the threats that would use him as setup fodder, giving Bronzong a free turn to get out without too much fear for the pokemon switching in.
-Earthquake is specifically for steel types that take super effective damage from ground moves. This allows Bronzong to fulfill a dragon cleaning role by himself. However, many steel types like Heatran and mold breaker Excadrill will hit back too hard for Bronzong.
Set Details
========
-The Special Attack EV spread allows Bronzong to two hit knock out mixed Mega Garchomp running a naive nature. Physical Mega-garchomp cannot critically hurt Bronzong so the loss of the two hit knock out in favor of a three hit knock out is not damaging.
-Leftovers recovery will give Bronzong some survivability. Considering the low damage Bronzong takes from most attacks, he may even gain health on turns when he is hit.
-Lack of Speed EVs give Bronzong more power to Gyro ball.
-The investment in Special Defense is to help Bronzong shrug off fire blast with a little more ease.
Usage Tips
========
-The main purpose of this set is taking advantage of Bronzong's decent typing to remove dragons and fairies from the field to allow your own dragons to have an easier time sweeping.
-Bronzong is a great rock setter because of his simple longevity. He needs very little support to survive, and can set successfully again if the opponent removes hazards.
-Bronzong can switch into most dragons and proceed to cause severe damage with little issue. Just make sure you aren't switching from a fire weak pokemon to Bronzong, as tempting a fire blast can prevent Bronzong from winning against the threat he is meant to take out.
-Note that for scarf Salamence, Gyro Ball will cause more damage than Hidden Power Ice.
-Bronzong can beat Timid life orb Landous-i by itself, but takes a enough from Focus blast that, barring a miss, he will lose if he switches into a focus blast.
-Hypnosis can alleviate some pressure that pokemon like Aegislash can apply to the team. Even Bronzong's earthquake isn't enough to stop Aegislash from setting up, so hypnosis is a better choice to prevent set up sweepers from using Bronzong as setup bait.
Team Options
========
-Dragon teammates appreciate Bronzong's ability to safely remove opponent dragons and fairies before Bronzong's teammates start to sweep. Bronzong also appreciates Dragons drawing a dragon move so he takes less damage on a switch in.
-Partnering Bronzong with a flash fire pokemon can be an easy way to grab a free boost. Fire types will also be able to take care of the steel types that Bronzong cannot touch if the dragon sweeper is incapable of taking them.
-Due to levitate, a myriad of ground-weak pokemon help Bronzong by drawing Earthquake and giving Bronzong a free switch.
Dual Screens
########
name: Dual Screens
move 1: Reflect
move 2: Light Screen
move 3: Toxic / Explosion
move 4: Earthquake / Gyro Ball
ability: Levitate
item: Light Clay / Leftovers
nature: Relaxed
evs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Moves
========
-The screens allow frail sweepers to have time to set up with less worry. Bronzong can reliably set the screens before dying and may be able to do so multiple times because of the fantastic physical bulk he has.
-Toxic allows Bronzong to take dangerous non-steel opponents for a while, stalling them while Bronzong takes minimal damage behind screens.
-Earthquake is arguably the best coverage move Bronzong has, hitting all but flying and levitating pokémon.
-Explosion will allow Bronzong to give a set up sweeper a free switch, but stops Bronzong from performing the screen role again. It will also weaken many pokemon enough that the next pokemon can get a free KO that generally wouldn't be available.
-Gyro Ball is not recommended, though it is one of Bronzong's strongest moves. Unfortunately, earthquake hits almost everything just as hard while also providing better coverage. Besides fairies, which earthquake can still deal neutral damage on (bar Togekiss), earthquake is the superior option.
Set Details
========
-Light Clay allows for frail sweepers to gain extra bulk for longer.
-The EV spread is simply to maximize Bronzong's lifespan in a relatively physical metagame.
-Leftovers are only suggested if Bronzong is the main beneficiary of these screens.
Usage Tips
========
-Setting screens immediately is generally suggested.
-If a non-steel threat to your team comes in, toxic it before finishing screen setting.
-Coverage moves shouldn't be used unless you have no ability to use a safe switch or can grab a quick kill on a weakened pokémon. This should be rare given the screens.
Team Options
========
-Frail setup sweepers like Crawdaunt, Breloom, Terrakion and even Lucario-mega appreciate the screens as they try to grab a boost to sweep with.
-Bronzong loves to have wish support if the team requires screens for late game. Fairies like Florges, Sylveon and Togekiss share no weaknesses with Bronzong and can give a great deal of health back to him.

- Trick Room, less viable due to very strong priority.
Checks & Counters
########
- Greninja resists both stabs and will drop Bronzong with two dark pulse hits.
- Hydreigon does not fear Bronzong at all, but cannot switch in easily on the Dragon Tank set.
- Haxorus powers right through levitate with mold breaker and easily knocks out Bronzong in two hits.
- Heatran counters sets lacking Earthquake.
- Taunt prevents Bronzong from supporting properly.
- Rotom-Wash / Skarmory take very little damage from any of Bronzong's attacks
- Tyranitar can take Bronzong down with two crunches.
