What is the bug?
When I try to register a Pokémon Showdown account, I never get the password prompt. The name appears to be claimed, but when I try to register it afterwards, it says “wrong password,” even though I never set one. I also cannot join the Help room because login fails. I feel this is because my IP is flagged as a proxy/VPN, so the site won’t allow me to fully register accounts. I am also unable to battle anyone.
Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes. Every time I try to log in with a new username:
1. I enter the username in the login box.
2. It lets me use the name temporarily, but never gives me the password setup prompt.
3. When I click “Register”, it tells me the password is wrong, even though I was never able to create one.
4. The same thing happens on repeated attempts.
