Not A Bug Dancer doesn't cure status

What is the bug?
If the Pokémon with Dancer is asleep or frozen, it will cure itself of the condition and copy the move. This did not happen

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?

Do you have any proof of this behavior? The only information I can find in the Sun/Moon Battle Mechanics Research thread is:

The check to see if a Pokemon will be fully paralyzed or remain frozen will happen on Dancer, and a sleep turn is also used up by Dancer's activation.

Also, Dancer activated both times while you were asleep when the opponent used Quiver Dance. After that, your opponent didn't use any other move affected by Dancer.

I can confirm that Dancer activating will not wake Oricorio up in Gen 7 or in Gen 9.
