What type of bug are you reporting? Mechanics

What is the bug?
Generation 3 multi hit moves are not implemented with the correct Destiny Bond interaction.

As documented by MagpieLabs here (
), if a multi hit move KOs a Pokemon under the Destiny Bond effect without hitting the target as many times as the game intends (examples include only hitting the target with one hit of beat up with 6 viable "attackers" in your party, and KOing with one hit of any 2-5 hit moves) then Destiny Bond should fail to activate, due to the game registering the move as "failed" unless it completes the number of damage rolls that the game determines upon move selection. I can attempt to research this myself in game if needed.

This likely applies to other moves beyond multi hits, as the video explains that Destiny Bond also fails to activate if the opponent knocks the user out with an attack that fails to apply an intended secondary effect. This appears to only apply to moves that fail to self inflict a secondary effect (for example. if the attacker is already+6 in all stats, KOs the Destiny Bond user with Ancient Power, and rolls the 10% omniboost, then Destiny Bond will not activate since the secondary effect of Ancient Power failed to self apply), but this is much more difficult to effectively test against and much less impactful in a realistic ADV game, so I have not explored this yet, but can do so if desired.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Yes, please see the attached replay, where this is showcased with both Beat Up and Rock Blast.
