Not A Bug Pomeg Glitch to get Shiny Celebi

What is the bug?
In Gen 3 OU, Celebi is unable to be used when shiny because the teambuilder states that it's only obtainable in events, however recently it's been pointed out how Celebi can be obtained as shiny through the use of the Pomeg Berry glitch.

This might be intended behavior, but since Celebi being shiny is a purely aesthetic change that some people would like, I thought that it was worth a try to point this out anyway.

Are you able to replicate it? If so, how?
Go to the teambuilder, select "[Gen 3] OU" as the format, add Celebi, make it shiny and click "Validate".

This is intended behavior; PS! has never used glitches to determine legality for what should be obvious reasons. There is no way to legally obtain a shiny Celebi without hacking or glitches in Gen 3, so shiny Celebi is not able to be used in-battle.

There is precedent for simulating moves obtained via the Pomeg glitch for LC, but other legality-related glitches such as the Mimic glitch and Level 80 Arceus are deemed illegal (the Mimic glitch is simulated via the rule Mimic Glitch but not in use in any format, and Level 80 Arceus is effectively banned by the presence of the rule Arceus EV Limit). Besides allowing shiny Celebi, the Pomeg glitch also allows Pokemon normally obtained at higher levels such as Tyranitar to be obtained at Level 5 (these are not simulated).

Barring Pomeg glitched moves, most legality-related glitches are not considered legal, so I don't think shiny Celebi would be considered legal either. This isn't my own opinion, but rather what seems to be precedent from what I read in PR.

The pomeg glitch is currently only used to allow access to moves early in gen 3 LC. There is an ongoing policy review thread on the topic of the pomeg glitch as a whole, but at this time policy doesn't support using the glitch for things like this. If that changes, we can re-open this.

Therefore this is not a bug.
