Building a Competitive "Sunny Day" Team, Need Help

I am building my very first competitive battling team and need your help. I have never played Pokemon competitively, but have done enough research to understand the basics of competitive play. I have bred many Pokemon I am interested in having on my team, which is themed around the ability Sunny Day. I have read up on this team and it is very interesting to me and I wanted to give it a shot. Because I have never built a team before or built a competitive team I need your help so I can build a very effective Sunny Day team. I also need help on strategies, items, Ev spreads, move sets, and my teams strengths and weaknesses.
1st: Ninetales
Ability: Drought
Nature: Timid
Evs: 252 Speed/ 252 Health/ 4 Sp. Def
Item: Wide lens
Moves:
Solar beam
Will-O-Wisp/Confuse Ray
Fire Blast
Safeguard/Protect/Roar
I will be using Ninetales as my lead for Drought. I am Ev training in speed and Health because i want to out speed other weather inducers. The health I think is a good idea to make her a bit bulkier due to her okay special defense, but if you have a better Ev spread or move set be sure to leave a comment. I think running roar would be great on Ninetales to knock out a Pokemon with Rapid Spin to keep my Spikes or Stealth Rocks out. Also I would like to run Will-O-Wisp for the burn effect but if you have a better skill set I would like to hear it.

2nd: Infernape
Ability: Ironfist
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed/ 252 Attack/ 4 Special Defense
Item: I am not sure what would be an effective item on him
Moves:
Fire Punch
Mach Punch
U-turn
Close Combat
Infernape is intended to be my physical sweeper. There isn't anything really special about him on my team, I just think he is awesome.

3rd: Ferrothorn
Ability: Iron Barb
Nature Sassy
Evs: 252 Defense/ 252 Special Defense/ 4 Health
Item: Leftovers
Moves:
Spikes/ Stealth Rocks
Leech Seed
Gyro Ball
Protect
I am not sure if Ferrothorn would be the best for this team because he is very weak to fire and my team will have alot of up time on Sunny Day further increasing the damage fire spells do. This may not be the most effective Ev spread on Ferrothorn, it is just meant to make him even bulkier. Also, I am thinking spikes is better for my team rather than stealth rocks because some of the more popular that are weak to Stealth rocks are very weak to the rest of my team.

4th: Venesaur
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Modest
Evs: 252 Special attack/ 176 Speed/ 80 Health
Item: Life Orb
Moves:
Sludge Bomb
Gigadrain
Growth/ Sleep powder
Solar Beam
Venesaur seems great for a Sunny day team because of chlorophyll. It gives me great coverage for fairy, rock, water, ground and grass types. The Ev spread for Venesaur seems very versatile and I am not sure if mine is the most effective. I am deciding between Sleep Powder and Growth because sleep powder is great as a status effect, but Growth gains +2 in the sunlight making Venesaur even stronger in Special attack.

5th: Blastoise
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Modest
Evs: 80 Health/ 176 Special Attack/ 252 Defense
Item: Leftovers
Moves:
Rapid Spin
Scald
Ice Beam/Dragon Pulse
Roar/ Dragon Tail

Blastoise is another Pokemon I really like and wanted on my team. His main purpose on my team is to use Rapid Spin, but he can be changed to fill other roles. I chose this IV spread to make him stronger defensively to physical attacks but allow him to still do good damage to the types that are weak to his move set. I was also thinking maybe an even bulkier Blastoise may be better or another rapid spinner all together.

6th: Charizard
Ability: Blaze/Drought
Nature: Timid
Evs: 252 Special Attack/ 252 Speed/ 4 Special Defense
Item: Charizardite Y
Moves:
Heatwave/Flamethrower/Flare Blitz/ Fireblast
Airslash/ Dragonpulse/Focus Blast
Dragon Dance/Roost
Solarbeam
Charizard is a very popular Pokemon and has been one of my favourites since I was a child. I have had a very tough time on deciding on his move set to make him a great Special Sweeper and Strong Mega-Evolution. I put in Dragon Pulse and Dragon Dance because he has them as egg moves but I am not sure if they are very strong on him.

This is my team thus far. I have put quite a bit of thought into making this team, but I am sure there is much i can improve on. I need your help to point out the flaws in my team as well as things I should change to improve. I appreciate you reading this and any feedback you give me.
