[SET COMMENTS]

8 HP and 156 Defense EVs allow Sawk to always survive an Outrage from Adamant Choice Scarf Haxorus. 176 Speed EVs with a Jolly nature allow Sawk to outspeed Adamant Sawk, as well as outspeeding Adamant Scarf Sawk after a Low Sweep. In addition, the Speed investment allows Sawk to outspeed non-Choice Scarf Toxtricity. 168 Attack EVs are leftover and allows Sawk to have the most damage it can while still remaining bulky and fast enough to do its jobs. Close Combat is Sawk's best STAB move and works well with Sturdy, as the drops don't matter if Sawk can't be OHKOe Throat Chop and Payback are both core to Choice Band Sawk as they allow Sawk to deal with the common Ghost-types in 1v1 such as Dragapult, Chandelure, and Gengar. Throat Chop can also allow Sawk to beat Choice Specs Toxtricity. Payback deals more damage to faster Pokemon. Low Sweep gives Sawk a higher damage output against faster Pokemon than Close Combat, since it will often allow Sawk to outspeed the opponent on the next turn. In addition, Low Sweep is important to reliably winning against opposing Sawk. Counter allows Sawk to take full advantage of its Sturdy ability, as it can survive a physical attack and OHKO the foe, which is useful against bulky Dracovish andDracozolt. Earthquake allows Sawk to OHKO Electric-type Pokemon such as Dracozolt and Toxtricity. However, Earthquake is useless if Sawk is running both Counter and Throat Chop. Poison Jab allows Sawk to beat Whimsicott and Choice Specs Sylveon.

Good teammates for Sawk include Taunt users such as Mandibuzz, Corviknight, and Cinderace, as Sawk struggles with stall. In return, Sawk can beat many stall breakers such as Crustle, Dracozolt, and Galarian Darmanitan. Sawk pairs well with Steel-type Pokemon such as Excadrill and Aegislash, as it beats many Fire-, Fighting-, and Ground-types for them. In return, these Steel-types can beat the many Fairy-types that beat Sawk, such as Aromatisse and non Choice Specs or Quick Attack Sylveon.

8 HP and 152 Defense EVs allows Sawk to always usually survive an Outrage from Adamant Choice Scarf Haxorus (252+ Atk Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. 8 HP / 152 Def Sawk: 249-294 (84.9 - 100.3%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO). 160 Speed EVs with a Jolly Nature allows Sawk to outspeed Adamant Sawk, and outspeed Adamant Scarf Sawk after a Low Sweep. 188 Attack EVs are leftover and allows Sawk to have the most damage it can while still remaining bulky and fast enough to do its jobs. Close Combat is Sawk’s best STAB move and works well with Sturdy, as the drops don’t matter if Sawk can’t be OHKOd. Throat Chop and Payback are both core to Choice Band Sawk as they allow Sawk to deal with the numerous Ghost-types in 1v1 such as Dragapult, Chandelure, and Gengar. Throat Chop has higher damage against slower Pokemon (such as?) and can allow Sawk to beat Choice Specs Toxtricity (Toxtricity is outspeeding your spread. Either increase your speed investment or remove this bit). Counter allows Sawk to take full advantage of its Sturdy ability, as it can survive a physical attack and OHKO the opponent. Earthquake allows Sawk to OHKO Electric-type Pokemon such as Dracozolt and Toxtricity (I would mention that EQ is useless if you're running both Counter & Throat Chop). Poison Jab allows Sawk to beat Whimsicott and Choice Specs Sylveon.

Good teammates for Sawk include Taunt Users such as Mandibuzz, Corviknight, and Cinderace, as Sawk struggles with stall. Sawk pairs well with Steel-type Pokemon such as Excadrill as it beats many Fire-, Fighting-, and Ground-types for them. In return, these Steel-types can beat the many Fairy-types that beat Sawk, such as Aromatisse and Pixie Plate Quick Attack Sylveon.

EVs: 8 HP / 168 Atk / 156 Def / 176 Spe changing to this spread resolves the haxorus and toxtricity issues I brought up. @me when done

In addition, Low Sweep is important to reliably winning against opposing Sawk. Counter allows Sawk to take full advantage of its Sturdy ability, as it can survive a physical attack and OHKO the opponent Since this is kinda important, I'd give an example or two of what this beats. Earthquake allows Sawk to OHKO Electric-type Pokemon such as Dracozolt and Toxtricity. Earthquake is useless if Sawk is running both Counter and Throat Chop. Poison Jab allows Sawk to beat Whimsicott and Choice Specs Sylveon.
