Kyurem @ Choice Specs
646.png

Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Earth Power
- Freeze-Dry
- Ice Beam

Thanks to freeze-Dry and a lack of his black form being in the tier, base kyurem is able to make a name for himself. With a pretty solid offensive typing and special movepool and a solid base 130 special attack and passable base 95 speed with impressive bulk to make up for his typings short commings defence wise, he is able to punch holes in team with ease. The moveset is simple, Draco meteor is a very hard hitting dragon move that wreaks weakened walls or even flat out kos more physical walls with less special defence investment, earth power is great cover to hit the likes of agieslash which would otherwise wall this set with out it making it a risky switch in to tank an ice beam, spekaing of which ice beam is a solid accurate stab with no draw backs unlike dracos special drop and the fact fairy switch ins are immune to it and allows kyurem to hit physical walls like hippowdon and corviknight hard, and finally we have freeze dry the icing on the cake for kyurem allows him to hit water types super effective one of the most commonly used in seismitoad goes from taking an ice beam neutrally to a 4x super effective attack, making switching into kyurem a daunting prospect thanks to his buffed coverage. The item used is choice specs for maximium damage output with a lack of recoil from life orb, the eves allow kyurem maximum special attack and speed and timid nature is chosen to keep kyurem as fast as possible and tie with jolly natured obstagoon through it often runs adamant instead gving kyurem the advantage.

Corviknight @ Leftovers
823.png

Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Iron Head
- Defog
- Roost
- Body press

Kyurem isn't a big fan of hazards, with stealth rock chipping off 25% of his health and him being vurnerable to both forms of spikes wearing him down easily, thankfully corviknight not only can rid the field of such hazards but can tank hits that would hit kyurem super effective thanks to it's steel/flying typing ressisting mainly fairy and dragon while being neutral to rock. The set is defog set that acts not only as the teams answer to some fairy types but acts as fantastic pivot as well thanks to a slow U-turn. The set uses iron head as a way of hitting fairies, naturally defog is on a defog based set to remove any potential hazards that would make kyurems life a misery, roost allows corviknight to settle down and regain health and last longer to support the team and finaly body press suggested by jordy allows corviknight to deal with excadrill and bisharp. The eves allow corviknight to tank physical hits primarily with 4 in special defence for the remainder as it will be expected to tank the odd hit in special defence from fairies, maxing out hp and defence eves with an impish nature allow corvinkinght to forfill it's role of taking physical hits, leftovers allows for passive healing.

Gengar @ Black Sludge
094.png

Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast

Gengar comes next, another pokemon thats come from the depths of the lower tier to rise back into out once more.On the sugestion of jordy the set has been schanged to a subgengar. this change allows the pressure to ease off gengar as it sets a substitute up while forcing out pokemon to better deal with the switch in. this sacrifices the power of nasty plot but increases the reibility of gengar overall as it hits enemy pokemon behind a subsitute. the set uses black sludge for healing and still retains a timid nature with maximum speed and special attack and speed eves to outpace pokemon up to be base 110 speed. the move set is the same duel stab sludge wave and shadow ball for great coverage that destroys psychics and fairies, ofcus blast to hit bisharp behind a sub and tyranitar.

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
635.png

Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Dark Pulse
- Draco Meteor
- U-turn
- Thunder Wave

On the suggestion of Jordy hydriegon takes the place of zeora as the teams speed choice scarf pokemon. Thanks to a stellar dark/dragon typing hydreigon to take on some ghost type attacks on the nswitch and revenge kill the likes of dracopult and agieslash. The set is simple enough scarf set. A choice scarf allows for the team to have a much needed revenge killer with teh sapeed to outpace the like of dracopult. Maximum speed and special attack allow hydriegon to forfill the role witha timid nature to allow hydriegon to outpace the likes of neutral choice scarfers. The move chocie is a straightforward duel stab in the reiable dark pulse for stab solid coverage, dracometeor is powerful stab to finnish off threats but not as reliable as dark pulse and finaly U-turn to scout with thunder wave to cripple threats that switch into hydriegon that it cannot handle and allows other slower pokemon to enjoy a potential free trun of full paralysis or the ability to outpace a pokemon they could not otherwise.

Seismitoad @ Leftovers
537.png

Ability: Water Absorb
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Scald

Another suggestionb from jordy is the toadly awesome seimitoad. able to set up Sr for the team seimitoad also serves one other very important function, to wall dracovish to hell and back thanks to his Ha water absorb making fishocious rend useless against it. The set is pretty standard and allows seismitoad to take some physical hits with a bold nature as to bost defence with the set not running any physical moves there is no need to reduce speed so attack is reduced instead. The eves boost hp and defence with the prievously mentioned bold nature to tank physical hits from the likes of dracovish and excadrill. The move set allows for water stab in scald with a chance of a burn to further cripple physical threats, toxic to cripple pokemon and chip away at their health, stealth rock to give the team some hazards and earth power for secondary stab that provides great coverage too.

Clefable @ Leftovers
036.png

Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Teleport
- Moonblast
- Wish
- Protect

Clefable is great not only does teleport act as a slow u-turn of sorts but it's fairy typing gives it plenty of imunities and ressitances to tank hits for the team and is the teams bulky special wall. The move set is straightforward enough teleport allows celfable to take a hit and switch out which may be at a time after a wish or to switch in a pokemon like kyurem damage freee for an advantage, moonblast is powerful reliable fairy stab, wish allows clefable to heal it's self and it's team mates with it's solid base 95 exp boosted further by maximum ev envestment able to pass bulky wishes to the team to heal up and finally protect allows for recovery prom wish, scouting and it gains further passive recovery from leftovers as the item of choice for siad reason. The eves allows for maximum special bulk with a calm nature to further max out special defence on the set.

What's up man, this is a cool take on Kyurem teams but there's a couple glaring issues that I really don't think can be ignored.

Structural Issues

While I'd like to acknowledge that Cinderace can indeed switch entry hazards around, it's really never something you should lean on; it's much better to be self sufficient, and that is especially true for bulkier teams like this.

Ghost-resistant Pokemon are incredibly important, especially for Kyurem teams where Dragapult and Aegislash will often look to revenge kill Kyurem. The fact that they can take advantage of Corviknight, Clefable, and Cinderace respectively really doesn't help either.

Beyond that, the lack of solid Dracovish counterplay really stands out too; every time it comes in, it will just get a KO. Considering how common defensive pivots like Clefable, Corviknight, and Mandibuzz are alongside Dracovish, it's definitely not too hard for it to switch into play either.

Lastly, your matchup against various Electric-types is quite concerning; specifically Zeraora and Rotom-H. Every time Zeraora comes in, it is very likely to just get a kill and there's super little room to outplay it, considering that you do not have anything faster than it, and the fact that this team definitely leans on Corviknight a fair bit. Rotom-H is a much less pressing issue because you can play around it offensively and thus prevent it from getting the most value, but it once again takes advantage of Corviknight very well, which considering how important Corviknight is, does make it hard to play around.

Major Changes

Zeraora → Hydreigon

I believe that replacing Zeraora with Choice Scarf Hydreigon is the best way to go about fixing a bunch of the issues with this team; it provides you with a Ghost-resistant Pokemon, which is super useful in the matchup against Pokemon like Aegislash and Dragapult, and also gives you a means of pressuring Zeraora offensively. It's also worth noting that Hydreigon tends to bait Clefable into play, which it can punish with U-turn and that is a very useful tool to get Gengar into play.

Cinderace → Seismitoad
815.png
537.png

This is definitely the most reliable way to go about compressing Stealth Rock and Dracovish counterplay into one slot. Adding onto that Seismitoad also gives you many more means to play around Zeraora and Rotom-H. Knock Off Seismitoad's also really useful alongside Kyurem as it can often force a Knock Off onto Clefable, which gives Kyurem much more freedom to pressure it.

You did express some concerns around Ferrothorn without Cinderace, but teams like this tend to overwhelm it long-term quite handily, especially with the Knock Off support from Seismitoad. Regardless, you could definitely consider running Kommo-o if Ferrothorn bothers you too much. It's a notably worse Dracovish check and doesn't help as much against Zeraora in particular, though.

Minor Changes

823.png

Corviknight absolutely has to run Body Press on this team, as you're simply too weak to Excadrill and Bisharp otherwise.

094.png

This is an optional change, but I'd definitely like to suggest Substitute Gengar instead of Nasty Plot + 3 Attacks Gengar. Nasty Plot + 3 Attacks Gengar is pressured quite easily offensively, which Substitute Gengar doesn't suffer from quite as much. It also much more concretely takes advantage of Pokemon like Clefable because it doesn't open up the opportunity for an opposing Clefable to freely Teleport into Choice Scarf Hydreigon, for example. If you prefer Nasty Plot + 3 Attacks, I'd definitely suggest running Thunderbolt instead of Focus Blast with Life Orb, though. Focus Blast doesn't really have any important targets, as Tyranitar can't really punish Gengar, and pressuring Mandibuzz adequately is in my opinion, more valuable in this metagame. And while the longevity from Black Sludge is useful, Life Orb improves so many calculations against Pokemon like Hippowdon, Toxapex, and Mandibuzz that it's definitely more generally useful right now.

036.png

I'd simply like to suggest that you run 7 Speed IVs on Clefable to still outspeed Hippowdon, while having a slower Teleport than most other Clefable.
