Bulky Support [Amoonguss] (QC 1/2)

:amoonguss: :sitrus berry: :mental herb: :rocky helmet:
[SET]
Bulky Support (Amoonguss) @ Sitrus Berry / Mental Herb / Rocky Helmet
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water / Fairy / Psychic
EVs: 252 HP / 180 Def / 76 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 27 Spe
- Spore
- Pollen Puff
- Protect / Clear Smog
- Rage Powder

[SET COMMENTS]
- Amoonguss excels at a supportive role in a team, with its great defensive typing and solid bulk, Amoonguss can always find opportunities to support its teammates.

- Spore is helpful for disrupting threatening attackers and set up sweepers, while enabling offensive threats like set up sweepers such as Swords Dance Kingambit or Nasty Plot Gholdengo. Pollen Puff provides appreciated healing and can do super effective chip damage against Rillaboom. Rage Powder can redirect strong attacks like Close Combat from Sneasler, Wave Crash from Basculegion, or Moonblastfrom Primarina away from Amoonguss's partner. Clear Smog can be used over Protect as a way to remove any stat changes, which is helpful against Dondozo and set up sweepers like Volcarona.

- Amoonguss can use Sitrus Berry for one-time recovery, while Mental Herb is used for Pokemon that carry Taunt like Incineroar and Maushold. Rocky Helmet can be used to discourage physical attacks like Maushold's Population Bomb and Fake Out.

- Tera Water resists Steel-type moves like Make It Rain, but gains a new weakness to Grass-type attacks like Rillaboom's Wood Hammer. Tera Fairy gives Amoonguss a new resistance to Dark-type moves such as Kowtow Cleave but is now weak to Steel-type moves like Make It Rain from Gholdengo. Tera Psychic gives Amoonguss a better matchup against Psychic-types that normally threaten Amoonguss like Gallade.

- With the EV spread, Amoonguss can live a Hurricane from Pelipper, Choice Band-boosted Last Respects at 150 BP, a Kowtow Cleave from Kingambit after a Swords Dance, a Choice Specs-boosted Make it Rain from Gholdengo, and a Population Bomb from Maushold. The IVs allow Amoonguss to underspeed Ursaluna in Trick Room.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]

Teambuilding
============
- Set Up Pokemon like Gholdengo and Kingambit appreciate Amoonguss's support, Rage Powder allows them to set up safely and Amoonguss can keep them healthy with Pollen Puff. Gholdengo resists the Flying- and Psychic-type moves Amoonguss is weak too, and Kingambit is completely immune to Psychic-type attacks.

- Amoonguss's Rage Powder and Spore can become completely ignored by Grass-types, and Gholdengo can wall Amoonguss as well, it's not scared of Clear Smog or Pollen Puff, and is completely immune to Spore thanks to Good as Gold. For these reasons, Incineroar is a popular partner for Amoonguss. Knock Off can remove Safety Goggles, allowing Amoonguss to use its powder moves effectively. Flare Blitz also scares off common Grass-types like Rillaboom and Gholdengo, while resisting Gholdengo's Steel- and Ghost-type attacks. Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot are all helpful to Amoonguss as well, making it even more difficult to remove.

Strategy Comments
============
- Amoonguss's main role is to be a supportive piece on a team, disrupting the opposing side with Spore and supporting its teammates with Rage Powder. Its key resistances to many different offensive types such as Grass-, Water-, Fighting-, Fairy-, and Electric-types let Amoonguss be used as a sponge for lots of strong attacks.

- Amoonguss has a good matchup into more offensive teams, slowing them down with Spore and redirecting attacks with Rage Powder. Common offensive rain staples like Archaludon and Basculegion have a hard time taking down Amoonguss due to it resisting Wave Crash and Electro Shot, and Archaludon has to watch out for Clear Smog after Terastalizing.

- Grass-types like Rillaboom can completely ignore Amoonguss, while Whimsicott's Prankster Taunt can make Amoonguss worthless in battle. As mentioned before, Pokemon like Gholdengo and Safety Goggles Incineroar are also terrible for Amoonguss, Gholdengo can turn Amoonguss into set up fodder, and Incineroar can threaten with Flare Blitz. Follow Me users like Electabuzz and Indeedee-F sets which pack Spore immunities can redirect Amoonguss's Spores. Trick Room abusers like Torkoal and Hatterene are slower than Amoonguss, and threaten it with an OHKO.

- Amoonguss can use Sitrus Berry for one-time recovery, and while Mental Herb can be is used for Pokemon that can carry Taunt to shut down Amoonguss, like Incineroar. Rocky Helmet can be used to discourage physical attacks like Maushold's Population Bomb and Fake Out.

- Tera Water and Electric both resist Steel-type moves like Make It Rain, but Tera Water resists Fire-type moves like Flare Blitz, while Tera Electric resists Flying-type moves like Brave Bird(Talk about the downsides of Tera Water).

- With the EV spread, Amoonguss can live a Hurricane from Pelipper, Choice Band-boosted Last Respects(At what BP?), a Kowtow Cleave after a Swords Dance, a Choice Specs-boosted Make it Rain, and a Population Bomb(Make sure you say who is using the move). - Amoonguss's Rage Powder and Spore can become negated if Pokemon hold the Safety Goggles item and or Terastalize into a Grass-type (This is dex info rn, what does Amoonguss do about it/what partners help deal with this). Gholdengo can wall Amoonguss as well, it's not scared of Clear Smog or Pollen Puff, and is completely immune to Spore thanks to Good as Gold. Flare Blitz also scares off common Grass-types like Rillaboom and Gholdengo(Not a grass resist, I'd also mention Incin beating grass types right after you say Amoonguss struggles with that and mention its Dengo killing capabilities afterwards). Intimidate, Fake Out, and Parting Shot are all helpful to Amoonguss as well, making it even more difficult to remove.

(spore is obvious) Pollen Puff provides appreciated healing and can do super effective chip damage against Rillaboom. Rage Powder can redirect strong attacks like Close Combat from Sneasler, Wave Crash from Basculegion, or Moonblastfrom Primarina away from Amoonguss's partner. (this is all obvious) Clear Smog can be used over Protect as a way to remove any stat changes, which is helpful against Dondozo (I think you should mention that the main purpose of csmog is dozo) and set up sweepers like Volcarona.

- Amoonguss can use Sitrus Berry for one-time recovery (any specific calcs? like does anything go from a 2hko to a 3hko?), while Mental Herb is used for Pokemon that carry Taunt like Incineroar and Maushold Electabuzz and Talonflame. Rocky Helmet can be used to discourage physical attacks like Maushold's Population Bomb and Fake Out (mention how it breaks sashes).

- Tera Water resists Steel-type moves like Make It Rain, but gains a new weakness to Grass-type attacks like Rillaboom's Wood Hammer (? that's not really the main thing, fire resistance is a lott more important. You can still mention steel but fire is the main thing). Tera Fairy gives Amoonguss a new resistance to Dark-type moves such as Kowtow Cleave but is now weak to Steel-type moves like Make It Rain from Gholdengo. (talk about good neutral type) Tera Psychic gives Amoonguss a better matchup against Psychic-types that normally threaten Amoonguss like Gallade. (mention psyspam composititions specifically, that's the main purpose)

- With the EV spread, Amoonguss can live a Hurricane from Pelipper, Choice Band-boosted Last Respects at 150 BP (from?), a Kowtow Cleave from Kingambit after a Swords Dance, a Choice Specs-boosted Make it Rain from Gholdengo (252+ SpA Choice Specs Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Amoonguss: 153-181 (80.9 - 95.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO yeah uh this is no bulk amoonguss and it still lives, I assume you forgot to click doubles), and a Population Bomb from Maushold. The IVs allow Amoonguss to underspeed the Ursaluna formes in Trick Room.

(This seems like a merge of the 2nd and 3rd bullet points, I'd prefer if you split them up. Maybe in one you can talk about p2 and ursaluna (which you should mention they are some of the biggest partners), and in the next bullet you can talk about grasses/dengo and incin)

(few examples please! Remove grass probably because it can't really sponge it for its teammates (by sponge I assume you mean redirect))

(could you talk about the playstyle a bit more here, you don't really talk about it)

- Grass-types like Rillaboom can completely ignore Amoonguss (could you talk about how rillaboom is a threat though? Like what does it do other than ignoring it? Probably slow it down with fake out or just absorb spores), while Whimsicott's Prankster Taunt can make Amoonguss worthless in battle. As mentioned before, Pokemon like Gholdengo and Safety Goggles Incineroar are also terrible for Amoonguss, Gholdengo can turn Amoonguss into set up fodder, and Incineroar can threaten with Flare Blitz. How can I build my team/build my set/adjust my plays to make it so that I'm less weak to these threats?)
