ORAS OU Bullet Train(Mega Chomp/Static Zapdos Balance)

View attachment 59769

Introduction
(fancy right)
Hey Guys! Back from the dead and stuff. So, I wanted to base the team around a mega that isn't used much at all in the OU tier, and a somewhat common wall in any other tier. So, I used Mega Garchomp, and static Sp.def Zapdos. While both are weak to Ice, The other 4 members can turn that weakness into a strength. What's coming up will be a quick rundown of the team.

So, Like i said earlier, I wanted to use an unused mega in OU, and a commonly used wall in any other tier, more elaboration later.

Next, I wanted something that could take HP Ices, and an expendable scarfer that can weaken Lando-T and MManetric, and put them in range of Diggersby's Quick Attack (Lando has an 81.3% to OHKO if defensive) Calcs:
252 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 186-220 (66.1 - 78.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
-1 252+ Atk Life Orb Huge Power Diggersby Quick Attack vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Mega Manectric: 87-105 (30.9 - 37.3%) -- 81.6% chance to 3HKO, which equals 97% - 115.5%)

Next, to round out the offensive part is Diggersby,
to hit extremely hard, and check some things that Mega Garchomp has trouble checking, like HP Ice users.

At this point, Offensive ice types (like Weavile) demolish this team, so I needed a check for ice typed BADLY. I chose Ferrothorn, because Gyro Ball OHKOs Weavile, and leech seeding chansey will be very beneficial for the team if it's worn down.

PAKO!! Mew is my main response for Pokemon like Conkeldurr, and other fighting types in the tier.

Now, onto in depth explination!

garchomp-mega.gif
Mega Garchomp w/ Garchompite
252 Atk/252+ Spd/4 Def
Mega Garchomp is a fantastic underrated mega. It has setup in the form in Swords Dance to increase it's immensely strong 439 Attack, to increase it to a base 878 Attack. With Stab EQ and Dragon Claw, it can hit even harder. Packing Fire Blast on a Garchomp is useful for Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Scizor. It can shutdown Excadrill and KO Tyranitar, to disable sand sweeps. Not just that, but it has SCYTHES for hands. DaNkNeSs FaCtOr: over 9000

zapdos.gif
Zapdos w/ Leftovers
248HP/64Def/180+SpDef/16Spd
Static Zapdos is a fantastic wall in the current metagame. It has reliable recovery in roost, and a fairly diverse movepool. Zapdos can paralyze physical threats such as Weavile, Lando-T, MMetagross, ect. Having leftovers for a secondary source of chip recovery is also very useful. Toxic and Roost allow Zapdos to stall in a pinch.

rotom-wash.gif
Rotom-W w/ Choice Scarf
4HP/252SpAtk/252+Spd
Now for this set, I wanted to bring something unexpected to the table. Something that could weaken MManetric, Something that is immune to Lando-T EQ, and OHKO back, while outspeeding both. I just described Scarf Rotom-W. Here are some calcs:
252 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mega Manectric: 186-220 (66.1 - 78.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 8 SpD Landorus-T: 372-438 (97.3 - 114.6%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252 SpA Rotom-W Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 372-440 (116.6 - 137.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

diggersby.gif
Diggersby w/ Life Orb
252Atk/4SpDef/252+Spd
Diggersby Tho? LO Diggersby hits a little softer than Choice Band, but still puts in the work. Being able to take an HP Ice from MManetric, and any pokemon that runs HP Ice besides a few Specs users. It has solid priority in the form of Quick Attack, and Gunk Shot to have a very soild chance to OHKO most faries in the current meta. I prefer Gunk shot because it OHKOs nearly every fairy, which this could struggle with IF Ferrothorn is weakened or KOed. With stab Frustration and EQ up its arsenal, you can't go wrong.

ferrothorn.gif
Ferrthorn w/ Rocky Helmet
200HP/110Def/198+SpDef
Ferrothorn is my main counter for Ice types like Weavile, who absolutely destroys this team. Getting off a leech seed on opposing Chanseys is very pivotal for the team if it's worn down. Ferrothorn is also the main hazard setter. It's very bulky (well duh) and can sponge hits like nobody's business. And it's also to OHKO Weavile with Gyro Ball. Plus wearing down physical attackers is nice.

mew.gif
Mew w/ Leftovers
252HP/252+Def/4SpAtk
Oss PAKO! A physical wall is what this team DESPERATELY needed. Having the ability to access every TM in the game is fantastic for Mew due to its diversity factor. Having access to Stealth Rocks is very beneficial for this team, and any team for that matter. For this team, since its balance, it doesn't zap the team's momentum very often, which is very good for Mew. It also has reliable recovery in Soft Boiled, and is able to wear down things with Toxic. It runs Psyshock for stab, and gives it the ability to check things like Conk.

THREATS

weavile-f.gif Weavile is hands down the BIGGEST THREAT TO THE TEAM. In case of your opponent using this beast, make sure to make it your priority to preserve Ferrothorn. If Ferrothorn is fainted and Diggersby worn down to the point where ice shard KOs, your just better off forfeiting.

keldeo-resolute.gif Keldeo is not as much of a threat as it is just something to watch out for. Have rocks up, and Rotom has a 50/50 chance to OHKO. If rotom goes down and gets of a Thunderbolt, Diggersby can revenge kill it with Quick Attack. Mew also 2HKOs with Psyshock, which is a thing to keep in mind.

charizard-megax.gif Make sure rocks are up BEFORE mega evolution. At that point, Rotom should KO with Hydro Pump.

Whelp, this has been my first RMT in a long while. Hope you guys liked it ^-^
EDIT: Apparently the party sprites semi fucked up.
