I've been using this team for a while and I would appreciate some advice on bettering it (Because I really enjoy using this team).
The Team:
Highlander (Gallade) (M) @ Lum Berry
Trait: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Zen Headbutt
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Ice Punch
I mainly use this guy as my lead because it has the element of surprise, since you don't see many Gallade leads these days many people don't know what to expect or how to handle them
Kraken (Tentacruel) (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 232 Atk / 80 SAtk / 196 Spd
Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Swords Dance
- Poison Jab
- Waterfall
- Hydro Pump
This guy is pretty much used for the element of surprise and I've been pleasantly surprised at how well it works. People always expect to see the toxic spikes rapid spin variants so they switch in something like a dd gyarados only to be destroyed by a +2 poison jab
Zohan (Tangrowth) (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- Power Whip
- Hidden Power [Ice]
Really the only true "wall" on this team, this guy is great at sponging hits, spreading status, and dealing with dragon types such as mence and chomp. Also, with regenerator tangrowth gains longevity as he can switch out and come back in healthy and ready to sponge more hits. (People have told me evo stone tangela is a better option but without any offensive options I find it to be quite disadvantageous)
WRECKED (Machamp) (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- DynamicPunch
- Stone Edge
One of the biggest problems this team has are walls such as blissey and ferrothorn, this guy handles both of them quite easily. He's not afraid of status, and he can dish out STAB 100 base power dynamic punches with ease (which almost no pokemon actually enjoys due to the confusion) The only real problem this guy has is jellicent due to it being immune to dynamic punch and taking minimal damage from stone edge.
Windows 7 (Porygon-Z) @ Life Orb
Trait: Download
EVs: 132 HP / 252 SAtk / 124 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Tri Attack
- Agility
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]
Really the only true offensive power this team packs, with an agility under its belt and +1 special attack there's not much this guy can't handle. That's also his biggest problem though, he needs +1 to be effective and with adaptability if I switch in on the wrong guy I end up getting a useless attack boost. He also gets destroyed by strong priority.
Kamikaze (Zapdos) @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 192 HP / 64 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Substitute
- Roost
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This guy is the one pokemon on the team that I am very willing to change. He does his job effectively, but he just doesn't seem to fit in well with this team.
Threat List:
Ferrothron - hard to eliminate if machamp is gone
Jellicent - can be dealt with by tangrowth but if I switch in on a will-o-wisp power whip becomes quite ineffective
Deoxys-S - when this guy is outside of the lead slot he can be very effective at outspeeding and eliminating a good portion of my team
Thanks for any criticism in advance and keep in mind this is my first RMT post so bear with me if I did anything wrong =)
