[BW OU] Team Stunfisk Sweep

Hey everyone ^^ I just constructed this team and I think it may work, it is my first team I have made and I am fairly pleased with it but I know that is no reason to believe this team is great as they almost never are when its your first rmt xD, and before you go on a spazz you'd be surprised at how much damage Stunfish can do :3, in fact he is one of the ones who pull thier weight the most, well, without further ado lets have a look at the team.
Now updated with v2.0 as of 19/08/2011 (save the threatlist as I am going to find this out via testing :3)
Should I try Eviolite Magneton over Magnezone? Just as much bulk with room for more power as I am running a fairly bulky Magnezone the Eviolite would make up for that and allow room for more SpA evs.

Team Building Process
So from the title you can tell who this is
going to be. I don’t know why, I just wanted
To use him and after consulting bulbapedia
I decided on a trick room special sweeper.
618.gif

I searched for a pokémon that resists most
of stunfisk’s weakness’ and one of the
options was Grass / Psychic and it just so happens
I recently obtained a female harvest Exeggutor so I
just gotta use this ^^ also usefully sets up Trick
room. I'd be cheating myself not using Exeggutor
618.gif
103.gif

Now I want to trap and kill steels ^^ so
obviously Magnezone goes here. Gonna
save the surprise of its moveset. It also resists all
of Exeggutor’s weaknesses bar fire.
618.gif
103.gif
462.gif

About that fire weakness… Well, I guess I
ought to use something like Jellicent ^^ It
also sponges Ice attacks aimed at Stunfisk. On
top of that it is a back up trick roomer.

At this point I did a team weakness analysis
and found that I had at least one 0.5 resist to every
type so I decided to try and put some more
sweepers here. What is slow but amazingly
powerful? Perhaps this was an odd choice
but I chose Guts Ursaring.

V 1.0
I thought I would try Curse Emboar with
reckless here ^^ works quite well.
And that was the first iteration of the team ^^

Up close and personal

618b.gif

Stunfisk @ Choice Specs
Trait: Static
Evs: 224 Hp / 32 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature (+ SpA, - Spd)
Thunderbolt
Earth Power
Surf
Sludge Wave

Simple, Evs to maximize defenses while still doing massive damage and as less speed as possible. All of stunfisk's moves together have perfect coverage.

103b.gif

Exeggutor @ Lum Berry
Trait: Harvest
Evs:252 Hp / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Sassy Nature (+ SpD, - Spd)
Giga Drain
Trick Room
Psyshock
Rest

Usually leads, this Exeggutor 2HKOs Deoxys-s and many other common rock leads (but not since i changed his set & evs D:). Normally sets up trick room first and yeah, this is my exeggutor ^^ He also resists all of stunfisk's weaknesses bar Ice.

462b.gif

Magnezone @ Air Balloon
Trait: Magnet Pull
Evs: 252 Hp / 8 Def / 136 SpA / 108 SpD
Ivs: Def: 30 / SpA: 30 / Spd: 2
Sassy Nature (+ SpD, - Spd)
Recycle Flash Cannon
Hidden Power [Fire]
Thunderbolt
Volt Switch

Yup, that's right, recycle. Rather a strange set the Special Attack Evs allow you to OHKO Standard CB Scizor, obviously the Ivs are to obtain HP Fire. Normally when using this you'll just attack and recycle if necessary. Fairly Simple. Magnezone also resists all of Exeggutor's weaknesses bar Fire. Yeah, that really doesn't work, it was an experiment anyway and I didn't expect it to work tbh.

356b.gif

Dusclops @ Eviolite
Trait: Pressure
Evs: 252 Hp / 80 Def / 176 SpD
Calm Nature (+ SpD, - Atk)
Pain Split
Will 'o' Wisp
Night Shade
Trick Room

Now, Dusclops is imo one of the 2 best users of eviolite along with porygon 2, he functions as an amazing wall with an added immunity to normal and fighting which is much appreciated. He can set up Trick Room which is, obviously, essential. Will 'o' Wisp to cripple physical attackers and Night Shade as a Seismic Toss clone that doesnt affect normal.

***previous***
593b.gif

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
Evs: 252 Hp / 224 Def / 32 SpD
Relaxed Nature (+ Def, - Spd)
Trick Room
Scald
Recover
Toxic

Quite easy to comprehend, Jellicent sponges Fire and Ice attacks for the team, replenishes trick room and spreads toxic and burns ^^

534b.gif

Conkeldurr @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
Evs: 120 Hp / 252 Atk / 136 SpD
Brave Nature (+ Atk, - Spd)
Hammer Arm
Facade
Stone Edge
Bulk Up

Yeah, its the macho hulk that we all know and love (except when you're on the recieving end xP) and as such we also know how much damage it can do, especially when it has bulked up a few times which is quite easy to achieve and when he does it doesn't matter if Trick Room runs out because it's attack and defense are so high :3. Mach Punch is for priority and really screws over a lot of things. Stone Edge is awesome coverage for flying types and other crap to ruin your fun )= Hammer Arm is STAB.

***previous***
217b.gif

Ursaring @ Flame Orb
Trait: Guts
Evs: 248 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD
Brave Nature (+Atk, - Spd)
Swords Dance
Facade
Crunch
Earthquake

Ursa SDs while flame orb activates multiplying damage by 300% in one turn! Consider that his attacks are coming off of a base 130 Attack stat and Ursa is nothing to be scoffed at! Facade is the obvious move of choice as it's base power doubles while burned. Crunch for those Ghosties ^^ and EQ for coverage I haven't used Close Combat because Emboar has a fighting type move and I don't really want the defence drops of Close Combat.

621b.gif

Druddigon @ Life Orb
Trait: Sheer Force
Evs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+ Atk, - Spd)
Dragon Claw
Crunch
Rock Slide
Superpower

This Druddigon is very fluid and easily changeable but his sheer force is more than enough to warrant a place on this team [/not so much of a joke]. All jokes aside his ability, sheer force, is great. It gives all of his move a 30% boost in power which is brilliant! Dragon Claw is STAB and will put a dent in everything but steels. Superpower to put a bigger dent in steels and random other stuff. Crunch for ghosts I guess and Rock Slide for flying, ice, and other crap.

***previous***
500b.gif

Emboar @ Expert Belt
Trait: Reckless
Evs: 88 Hp / 252 Atk / 84 Def / 84 SpD
Brave Nature (+ Atk, - Spd)
Curse
Flare Blitz
Head Smash
Hammer Arm

Reckless Emboar is a rather underrated threat in my opinion. The Evs are for maximising defenses and attacking prowess. Curse for lowering (and therefore raising) speed and raising attack and defense. Flare Blitz and Head Smash take advantage of Reckless and Life orb with the former being a rather powerful STAB. Hammer arm for coverage, STAB & team utility. Used to be life orb but is now expert belt on V0x's suggestion, thanks :3.

Overall I believe my team is pretty good but could still do with some tweaking ^^ please help :P thanks for your time. Also i'm really sorry for my rubbishy pokémon comments, its soo late and it's been a really long day D:

Changes

I really need some Ice D: I decided to try Ice beam over Toxic on Jellicent as I wasn't using it.

This is a cool TR team (one of my favorite styles of play, even if it doesn't always work) (lol @ Stunkfish).
Conk is pretty much a better Ursaring under Trick Room due to its Fighting STAB and superior Bulk. Ursaring does have Swords Dance, but that leaves you with only two turns of Trick Room afterwards, which is too little to deal out a good amount of damage. Same item, 120HP/252Atk/136Sdef Brave Conk with Hammer Arm, Facade, Stone Edge, Mach Punch/Drain Punch/Bulk Up will be amazing and have some function outside of TR due to Conk's bulk.

Also, since Emboar has good coverage, I would opt for Expert Belt instead of Life Orb. Reckless on recoil moves pretty much does tons of damage already, and LO+the prevalence of Sandstorm will really shorten its lifespan.

Hey, you might want to expand your descriptions for your Pokemon so the mods don't lock this under violation of Rule #3.

Overall, when looking at this team and the Trick Room guidelines noted in a post lost somewhere in DT, your team is missing a few elements that many good Trick Room teams usually have.

1. You don't have a fast late-game sweeper to retain momentum even when Trick Room goes down. Trick Room only lasts 5 turns, and by the late-game, most of your setters might be crippled.

2. You never note if a Pokemon has 0 Speed IVs or not. Most Pokemon made to take advantage of Trick Room should have 0 Speed IVs or something close to that to abuse Hidden Power.

Nitpicking below...

Stunfisk: Have you considered trying an Eelektross over Stunfisk? It has no weaknesses, and has better coverage in four moves and stats to back it up. Honestly, I don't see how Stunfisk is sweeping any time soon.

Here's the set I recommend (taken from the Trick Room article, so credit for this set goes to V0x):

604.gif

Eelektross (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SAtk / 4 SDef
Brave / Quiet Nature
- Thunderbolt / Wild Charge
- Flamethrower
- Dragon Claw / Brick Break
- Volt Switch / U-Turn

Exeggutor: Your Exeggutor's EVs are all over the place. If that's what you need to get its job done, then be my guest. However, if you're looking for a change in EVs, then just max out HP and Defense and place the last 4 EVs in Special Defense. I see that you're abusing Harvest, so why not use a Lum Berry and Rest? Have you tried Giga Drain or Energy Ball over Leaf Storm so you can deal consistent damage?

Magnezone: Try an Escavalier over this. I can't say much otherwise.

Jellicent: Have you considered an Eviolite Dusclops over this? I'm sure it gives you synergy somewhere in your team, but I can't see it.

Ursaring: Follow V0x's suggestion of ConkelHURR over this.

Emboar: Switch this out for a fast late-game sweeper. Salamence works well here, but if you're not the type for Dragons, then consider Terrakion or Infernape.

I salute you for using a Trick Room team. Try my suggestions out and tell me what you think of them. Have a nice day, and good luck!

I will edit my post with movesets soon. Hold on until then. Thank you.

Could be i'm wrong but.
Your ursaring uses physicall attack.
U use flame orb to activate his guts.
So u get x2 (or 1.5?) from guts, /2 from burn ?
Isnt it better to use a toxic orb for that matter ? Or is there something i'm forgetting ?

Burn's detrimental effects on a pokemon's physical attack stat is nullified if said pokemon has the ability Guts.

So he should exchange 5 out of 6 of his team members for 5 different pokemon? XD I agree that your choices, and you make good points, but that's a completely different team.

Personally, I like the originality of this team - you won't see many utilizing stunfisk in this way.

I love the creativity of this, it definately stands out from the rest of the overused pokemon, the only thing i would change is maybe your exeggutor's item, when pinch berry's are released you could replace sitrus berry for something like a peteya berry to raise Sp. Atk, or Lum berry to heal of status, or a type resisting berry? but if you value the healing from the sitrus thats your choice :)

I apologize greatly for my lack of response, i went on holiday and assumed, because i had little response before, that it had died :( anyway, thank you a lot for taking your time to rate this :3 also I must admit the weird evs are due to me using this.

@ V0x: yeah, i'm not really sure how I didn't see conk before :P and ill go ahead and change to belt on emboar :)

@ TmacMoney: thanks dude :)

@ Wario is OSSIM: thanks for your rate :D however, as TmacMoney said, I don't really feel like changing my entire team, I am willing to change a lot of things but that is like the whole team :( now for what i'll change: evs on exeggutor and make it a lum rest, test eviolite dusclops as I tried it before and it really works :P, i'll trial druddigon over emboar as a slow dragon, I don't expect it to work all that well but it's slow and a dragon xD

@ bluemon: I would but for 100 base speed :/

@ GibleTV: thanks dude :3 as you'll have seen i'm using lum

overview:

- Changing exeggutors evs to 252/252/4 and a lum rest set
- Testing Conkeldurr > Ursaring
- Putting expert belt on Emboar and alternating Druddigon

also should i try eviolite magneton over magnezone for the same bulk with more space for power?

What do you mean for eviolite Magneton having "More space for power"? Other than that, I can see that this team definitely works pretty well. One more thing: LOLSTUNFISK.
