Welcome to the third edition of BW Grand Slam! Real FV13 won last year, who will challenge him for his crown?
The format starts with a regular season consisting in five separate tournaments: The BW Ubers Open, the BW UU Open, the BW RU Open, the BW NU Open, and the BW PU Open. Depending on your performance in each Open, you will be awarded points. The point system is the same as the one used in Smogon Tour, Smogon Classic and previous years of Smogon Grand Slam- see this for further explanation. When all the Opens have been finished, the eight players with the most points will qualify for playoffs. There, the battlers will duke it out in a single elimination best-of-five series until there is one BW Grand Slam II champion!
Here is the list of the five Opens and the dates each signups will be posted:
- The BW Ubers Open III - Hosted by Eledyr - February 16th
- The BW UU Open III - Hosted by Monai - February 23rd
- The BW RU Open III - Hosted by Finchinator - March 2nd
- The BW NU Open III - Hosted by Oathkeeper - March 9th
- The BW PU Open III - Hosted by goldmason - March 16th
If a tier shift happens to occur during a round, it will not be taken into account until the following round. Be sure to join the BW Discord server if you have any questions or wish to ask a host about a decision. More information on the tournament, standings spreadsheet, and any other logistics will be edited here and posted about in the near future -- stay tuned!
