[OVERVIEW]
Blaziken is certainly a force to be reconned with despite its starter Pokemon level base stats. This is in large parts due to its newfound ability Speed Boost, making it not only a sweeper that is very hard to revenge kill, but also supporting its teams as a revenge killer itself without the limitations of holding a Choice Scarf. Additionally, this generation allows the use of Gems, a one-off item such that Blaziken can increase the power of one of its moves to KO one of its counters. Blaziken is rather unique in its offensive capabilities as well as it has no problems blasting through defensive pieces like Ferrothorn, Dialga, and even most Arceus-formes. Despite these positive traits, Blaziken suffers from low defenses, so it is both weak to priority moves and may have a hard to find opportunities to set up. It also has a rather damning weakness to Toxic Spikes.
