Welcome to the BW2 NU-What Could Have Been Tournament!
It's standard BW2 NU but with one twist: One Pokemon from BW2 RU will be dropped into the tier for use in the tournament each round! In that sense, this tournament will give a taste of what the metagame could have been like with the potential dropdowns that RU had never given the tier.
Rules
- Standard BW2 NU tournament
- The tournament will be single elimination
- Matches are best of one
- Matches will be played on Pokemon Showdown! using the Gen 5 RU format
- All tournament rules are in effect
- All standard clauses apply
- One Pokemon will be released for use in the tier each round and will be usable for the remainder of the tournament and subsequent rounds.
Yep, no secrets here! Anyways, final pairings for now:
Finals:
Insult vs honchkrow
Insult vs Finchinator
honchkrow vs. Finchinator
Since we wound up at three, this will be a round-robin where all three of the players will be pitted up against each other. Whoever wins two matches will be the winner of the tournament.
For the extended semifinal round, the extended deadline for that is July 27th at 11:59 PM EST.
However, for the finals, no deadline! Just try and get it done as soon as possible!
All Pokemon I dropped in previous rounds (Klinklang, Hariyama, Rhydon, and Poliwrath) are legal in addition to any Pokemon legal in BW2 NU. I'll also drop Mesprit for this last round since while it was very good in BW2 RU it was also one of those near-NU threats and an old veteran of BW1. It was really good back in very early BW1 NU so let's see if it will be as useful a glue as it was way back then!
