[BW2 OU] The Dreamers

Hello mans, I will post a team built a few days ago but with a little fall. The team at first glance may seem really solid, but in the field of battle is really slow and shows some flaws to stem from some of the most common threath. Do not waste time with the introduction and we start immediately with the building phase.

The team has gone from essentially Forretress that would place the spikes and get that bit of offensiveness does not make it to the ground set-up of dragons. Moreover also learns rapid spin and therefore may wipe the ground from the EH and from leech seed of ferrothorn, so as to exploit to insert the tips and spinnare you when needed.
205.png

Now, since I wanted to remove both the Sunny, the Ghosts and Latias / os, I insert the dearest Tyranitar that also will include the SR.
205.png
248.png

Now I missed someone who should have been out of the way the rapid spinner but not with the usual Jellicent, because I wanted a Pokemon that could hit the Spinner at best, or at least weaken them. I searched my archives a set of an anti-spinner that would help me against Volturn and was quite surprising. Here comes into play Gengar.
205.png
248.png
094.png

OK, now I needed something strong enough and take home the pr offensive game, the first two that I saw and that I've liked were Latias & Jirachi. Why not include them?

Finally insert the dearest Gastrodon that helps me with the Volt Switcher but WoW is still fucked by Rotom, Grass Knot Thundurus-T etc.

In a second time, I discovered that Heatran is the best Sp defensive for this team and replace it in place of Jirachi making the team more solid in a certain sense.

Forretress Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SDef
Trait: Sturdy Relaxed Nature
-MOVESET-
Spikes Rapid Spin Volt Switch Gyro Ball
~ ~ ~
This is my spinner and my spiker, I prefer Gyro Ball to Hidden Power [Ice] and a little recovery (Pain Split) to Earthquake in the normal set but I've been forced to enter the normal set, with VSwitch + Gyro Ball, to accompany tyranittar during pursuiting. This set isn't field to set up for dragons, although I have a little problem for him: i don't have a Wisher! I love this pokemon, Forretress is my favorite pokemon.

Gastrodon Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Spd
Trait: Storm Drain Sassy Nature
-MOVESET-
Recover Earthquake Scald Toxic
~ ~ ~
I am very disappointed by Gastrodon, does not help me much, although in some cases I have a lot of help against Bulky Water and obviously against Rotom-W or Jirachi. The set is very classic. Recover is a good recovery, EQ for Heatran and Jirachi Cminder, Scald for burns and toxic for obvious reasons.
HR-Ross-Cooper-2.png

248.gif

Tyranitar Choice Band
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 SDef / 44 Vel
Trait: Sand Stream Adamant Nature
-MOVESET-
Pursuit Crunch Stone Edge Superpower
~ ~ ~
Thanks to the advice of Jirachi I found a set really functional for my Tyranitar. The set recommended by Jirachi satisfy me enough and I decided to change it permanently. Stone Edge is a main Stab whit Crunch. Pursuit is a great move for kill anti-spinner or Xatu / Espeon. Superpower for other Tar for Chansey or Blissey.

Gengar Leftovers
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Trait: Levitate Timid Nature
-MOVESET-
Substitute Hidden Power [Fire] Shadow Ball Pain Split
~ ~ ~
Originaly Set, i love it! Hp [Fire] hits veery well Scizor, Ferrothorn and other pokemon with 100% accuraty, thus giving the imprecise FBlast. With 252 SAtk and 0 HP Gengar does lots of damage with Pain Split + Shadow Ball and I have a little arm for Volturn Teams.
HR-Ross-Cooper-2.png

380.gif

Latias Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd
Trait: Levitate Timid Nature
-MOVESET-
Dragon Pulse Psyshock Roar Recover
~ ~ ~
She help me in the countering of Breloom but i have a little problem ): . Loom asleep when my pokemon synergy goes to fuck and I will have many problems with the continuous battle. Set Classic Difensive, I prefer this set for usual Cminder. I prefer the set Roar for phazing. Psyshock is a great move for lot of pokemon! Conkeldurr, Breloom, Lucario ecc. are no longer problems for me.

Heatran Leftovers
EVs: 248 HP / 100 SDef / 160 Spd
Trait: Flash Fire Calm Nature
-MOVESET-
Lava Plume Protect Roar Stealth Rock
~ ~ ~
Ok, i love it. Classic set and beautifull performance. Nothing to say beyond the fact that he took to the rocks in place of EPower

Thanks to Jirachi, Novaray, Asterat, Jirachier + Jonis for their rate.

Novaray: SRock to Tran, EVs of Gengar;
Asterat: :D for reading the team.
Jirachier + Jonis: HP [Fire] > WoW to Gengar and Psyshock > HP [Fire] to Latias

Cool team, but I have a few suggestions.

On forretress run volt switch and hidden power ice Over gyro ball and pain split to hit gyarados and gliscor as well as dragonite. Use a spread of 248 HP/176 Def/84 SATk

Try a chople berry and stone edge on tyranitar to help deal with tornados and thundurus, as well as HP ground volcarona

Stall breaker jellicent>gengar

Ammonguss over latias to shut down breloom and keldeo With a move set of spore/seed bomb/hidden power ice/stun spore

If you run stealth rock on heatran over earth power you could run a choice band/scarf tyranitar to help destroy reuniclus.

You also might want to bring back Jirachi in a SpD set, because heatran is not great in a rain filled metagame. running stealth rock on that would allow for CB tar as well

Hi iCs

Welcome to Smogon and cool team you have here. Now looking at your team, one of the major threats to it is Swords Dance Lucario. After a Swords Dance, Lucario hits your entire team hard with Close Combat, as well as using Bullet Punch to eliminate Gengar and Extremespeed to bypass the speed of Latias. Another threat to your team is offensive rain teams. Although you have a water and electric type immunity in Gastrodon, these teams often carry Celebi or Virizion to remove the slug and after you lose Gastrodon, you don't have much to take rain-boosted Hydro Pumps or 100% accurate Thunders. For these threats, I suggest replacing Gastrodon with a Defensive Celebi with a moveset of Giga Drain / Recover / Hidden Power Fire / Thunder Wave. Celebi is a great Pokemon to use against rain teams due to its great bulk and she still allows you to check Rotom-W, resisting both its STABs and retaliating with Giga Drain. She is able to take a +2 Extremespeed from Lucario and hit back with Hidden Power Fire. She also makes a great counter to Voltturn teams by eliminating Scizor on the switchin with HP Fire after Rotom-W Volt Switchs out, effectively breaking their Voltturn chain. Recover combined with recovery from Giga Drain ensures she will survive for a long time. Thunder Wave is used in the last moveslot as a great support move to cripple faster threats such as Salamence and Tornadus-T.

As you said, you are dissatisfied with your current Tyranitar set. I would suggest replacing your current set with a Choice Scarf Tyranitar with a moveset of Crunch / Pursuit / Stone Edge / Superpower. Scarf Tyranitar gives your team some much needed speed and allows you to trap Ghost and Psychic types, namely Starmie, Gengar, and Latias/Latios with a fast Pursuit. Tyranitar also makes for a great late game cleaner with his massive attack stat and great STAB moves in Crunch and Stone Edge. Superpower in the last slot allows you to swiftly eliminate opposing Tyranitar as well as hitting Terrakion, Heatran, and Ferrothorn for super effective damage. Should you make this change, Stealth Rock should be used over Protect on Heatran. Heatran's great bulk and typing means he will often be able to set up rocks and can rack up entry hazard damage by phazing with Roar.

Lastly, you should move the 252 HP EVs on Gengar into Special Attack. Since you are using Pain Split, you will want Gengar to have the lowest HP stat possible so that you recover more HP when using the move and your opponent loses more HP. Take an opposing Pokemon with 400 HP. Gengar with no HP EVs has an HP stat of 261, so after he Pain Splits, both you are your opponent will be left at 330 HP. Gengar with 252 HP EVs has an HP stat of 324, so after he Pain Splits, both you and your opponent will be left at 362 HP. The first option gives you a higher percentage of HP recovered and HP your opponent loses. The special attack investment also significantly increases the damage output of Shadow Ball.

Hope I helped and good luck with your team!

Sets:
Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 32 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
-Giga Drain
-Recover
-Hidden Power [Fire]
-Thunder Wave

Tyranitar (M) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge
-Superpower

tl;dr
Gastrodon ----> Defensive Celebi
Tyranitar ----> Choice Scarf Tyranitar
Protect on Heatran ----> Stealth Rock
252 HP EVs on Gengar ----> 252 SAtk EVs

Thanks for the ratee, but the problem with lucario isn't colmed :( Crunch Lucario +2 1hko my celebi and i haven't a really counter for it.
ScarfTar died immediately, but i like the evs of gengar, will have no more bulkyness but P.Split really does damage.
Lucario is a great problem for this team :\

Oh sorry, originally I had assumed you had Crunch Lucario checked with Gengar but I now realize you aren't using Focus Blast on him. You can try an offensive Celebi with max speed investment and a moveset of Giga Drain / Earth Power / Hidden Power Fire / U-turn. This Celebi has less bulk than the defensive set but can still survive a +2 Extremespeed and doesn't have to worry about Crunch as you outspeed SD Lucario and eliminate it with Earth Power. This Celebi still checks Voltturn cores while packing U-turn itself to build some momentum for your own team. Lastly, you can opt for Leaf Storm instead of Giga Drain but I would choose the latter as it provides recovery on a Pokemon that can operate both offensively and defensively. Hope this helps, sorry about the errant information earlier.

Hi

This is a cool team however there are a couple of things that you could change to make it more effective. You team seems to have a lot of troubles against Rotom-W + Scizor "Volturn" cores because you have nothing that is able to beat both, so they can rack up the damage extremely quickly and end up destroying your defensive synergy, opening the way for their scarfer/cleaner to sweep what is left of your team easily. This is a very popular core (a bit less with the advent of BW2, but still very popular), so it's important to be able to beat it reliably. The best way to deal with Volturn cores is to get something that walls Rotom-W that is faster than Scizor and is able to OHKO it. Since your team packs Latias, which is perhaps the best answer to Rotom-W, you should try to replace Substitute with Hidden Power Fire. Since you don't have Calm Mind, it allows you to do some damage to mostly everything with Dragon + Fire coverage which is only resisted by Heatran, so stuff like Ferrothorn won't use Latias as set up fodder to put pressure on your Rapid Spinner, Forretress, which could end up making it an easy prey for teams who look to get rid of it. It also hits Scizor for x4 effective damage, giving you a nice check to Volturn. While you lose Substitute, Latias just gained much more usefulness right there, reducing the pressure on your other team members.

I think that your team would greatly benefit of changing your Tyranitar's set, seeing that even you don't like it. While Tyranitar is an awesome Stealth Rocker it can also support your own Entry Hazards by being a great partner to Forretress. Seeing that your team seems to rely on Entry Hazards, especially Spikes to weaken your opponents, since it is more of a stall team, and that to keep the hazards advantage you have to be able to Rapid Spin your opponent's hazards away to prevent them from reducing your walling capabilities, you could really use Choice Band Tyranitar over your current set, with the addition of dropping Pain Split for Volt Switch on Forretress. Since Jellicent will try to get on Forretress all the time to block its Rapid Spin, seeing that Forretress can't touch it, you can Volt Switch out of it and then trap it with Pursuit from Tyranitar, or even destroy it with Crunch. This allows you to remove the enemy Spinblocker and Rapid Spin when needed with Forretress, keeping your walling capability to the top meaning your team will last for the entire match. It's also still a good answer to Latios thanks to its high Special Defense and capacity to OHKO it with Pursuit, even if it doesn't switch out. Since you don't like your current Tyranitar set you don't lose much and you gain a way to beat these annoying teams with spinblockers. While you lose your Stealth Rock user, you can put it instead of Earth Power on Heatran since it is probably as good as Tyranitar to set them up.

Here's the set you should use:
248.gif
@ Choice Band
Sand Stream
Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk / 212 SpD / 44 Spe
-Crunch
-Pursuit
-Stone Edge
-Superpower

Good luck!

Thanks Jirachi and Novaray for their rate :D I test that and I will inform you if they are good tips! Anyway many thanks for correcting the team :)

I have edited with your suggestion.
What is the best set of Heatran? More important is to keep Protect discover various ascarf EPower or to damage or other Heatran Fire?

I'd say keep Protect for scouting and plus you have Gastrodon for opposing Heatran. Anyways, since you are having a bit of trouble with Lucario, I would suggest running Focus Blast over WoW on Gengar. Gengar is immune to Extremespeed and if Focus Blast hopefully hits, it will OHKO Lucario, who is slower and unable to KO first with Crunch. Also, most Lucario don't carry Bullet Punch so you should be fine. Oh and you have Serene Grace as Heatran's ability, but I am guessing it should be Flash Fire. Hope I helped.

Hi there! Your team looks pretty great, and the flashiness of your RMT has certainly made it fun to read. Nice job! You've got two great pokemon, Gastrodon and Heatran, to wall Sun / Rain, so I don't see weather wars as much of a problem for you. I know you do not appreciate Gastrodon but I assure you it will help you a lot with Rain teams. However, to ensure the safety of your Heatran on skirmishes with Sun team dugtrio, I recommend you use an Air balloon instead of leftovers, so you won't be trapped. That allows your Heatran to stay alive much longer, giving your teammates time to eliminate Dugtrio so Heatran can wall safely.

To fix your Tornadus-T problem somewhat, I would recommend that you use a Chople Berry on Tyranitar. That way, Superpower will not OHKO you, and you can reply with Stone Edge. Chople also lets you survive Focus Blasts from pokemon like Gengar and Alakazam, so you can KO back with Crunch.

If you really don't like Gastrodon, a good replacement for it would be Toxic Stall Gliscor.
472.gif

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Impish Nature
248 HP / 24 Def / 236 Spe
~Substitute
~Baton Pass
~Earthquake
~Toxic / Taunt / Facade
Because your team is heavily reliant on dealing passive damage, Gliscor is a great teammate that can reliably force switches and pass Substitutes to help keep them safe. It can still hit quite hard with EQ, and it can Toxic your opponent, causing them to receive even more passive damage. This set is worth a shot for you, however I urge you not to underestimate Gastrodon, especially because it walls Rain so well. Anyway, nice team, and good luck!

Thanks for your suggestion, but i have Banded my Tyranitar and Gastrodon help me to countering Thundurus-T and other pokemon (example Rotom-w).
Air Baloon is a great item but the leftovers are really important for me, and the rain is a great problem for me 'cause all water know ice beam to kill Latias.
Really Thanks for your suggestion ^^
