Death metal is probably my least favourite metal genre, but my favourite records in this (boring) style are:

Opeth - Still Life (but anything by them will do)
Death - The Sound of Perseverance
Darkane - Insanity
Morbid Angel - Altars of Madness
At The Gates - Slaughter of the Soul
Dark Tranquillity - almost anything will do, but I guess Character, Haven or Fiction
In Flames - Colony
Eternal Tears of Sorrow - Before the Bleeding Sun
Wintersun - s/t (if this can be called death metal)
Meshuggah - Chaosphere

I really want to hear Cynic's Focus and some of Death's earlier material.

i don't especially pay attention to metal genres but for some reason ragnarok's blackdoor miracle makes me happy

also what vampdude said, fate of norns makes me feel like a viking inside even if i have bathed in the past few months and don't enjoy raping women and sadly don't own some sort of axe/mace/sword

I listen to any kind of metal genre. In Flames, Dark Tranquillity, Children of Bodom, Divine Heresy, Arch Enemy, Sonic Syndicate, Apocalyptica and more of those..
