[SET COMMENTS]
On offensive, dual screens, mono-dark teams, Mega Sableye can serve as a sturdy set-up win condition that brings some defensive utility to the table and ignores common anti-setup moves such as Taunt, Encore, and Whirlwind. Mega Sableye's fighting immunity, bug neutrality, and effective status move immunity allows it to enter the battlefield in front of threats that many of its teammates would be threatened by. Screens dark teams usually run no hazard removal, so they appreciate Mega Sableye's ability to make opponents think twice before attempting to set hazards. Additionally, the ability to spread status with Will-O-Wisp greatly increases the ability of the team to handle threatening physical attackers like Urshifu-R, Mega Scizor, and Great Tusk. Prankster can be used before mega evolving to cripple faster attackers like Mega Lopunny that threaten Mega Sableye and its teammates. Sableye can choose from Hex or Dark Pulse; Hex does more damage to statused targets, but Dark Pulse has no immunities and higher base power. This Mega Sableye set only fits on screens teams, so Grimmsnarl is a mandatory partner. Grimmsnarl appreciates Mega Sableye's ability to prevent opposing hazard setters like Skarmory or Ting Lu from stacking hazards in front of Grimmsnarl, and Mega Sableye uses Grimmsnarl's screens to get the initial durability increase it needs to start stacking Calm Mind boosts. With screens active, Mega Sableye can use to Calm Mind to dodge a 2HKO from threatening special attackers such as Choice Specs Tapu Koko and Choice Scarf Tapu Lele. Behind Reflect, Mega Sableye always dodges a 2HKO from Mega Lopunny's Close Combat and Choice Band Meowscarada's Play Rough as Mega Sableye threatens both with burns. If screens are not active, Mega Sableye can still use Calm Mind to 1v1 special attackers like Choice Specs Greninja lacking Hydro Pump, Iron Moth, or Kyurem. Hazard-weak teammates such as Flyinium-Z Galarian Moltres, Weavile, and Focus Sash Hisuian Samurott hugely appreciate Mega Sableye's ability to prevent Stealth Rocks from being set easily. In return, Galarian Moltres helps handle troublesome fighting types like Mega Lopunny or Iron Valiant, and Hisuian Samurott's Ceaseless Edge limits fairy type foes from repeatedly switching in to Mega Sableye. Weavile, as a fast physical attacker, can help threaten opposing setup sweepers that would overwhelm Mega Sableye like Calm Mind Enamorus or Swords Dance Ceruledge.
