Can I get a Rate? (Offensive RMT)

So i don't really like playing defense and stalling things out, so I was very excited to hear that D/P would have a more offensive minded metagame. Here is my first attempt at a competitive team.

Gyarados@Leftovers
Intimidate
Adamant Nature
212 HP/ 16 Atk/ 176 Def/ 104 Spe
-Stone Edge
-Waterfall
-Dragon Dance
-Taunt

Starts things off. Nice Bulky sweeper with the ability to do a lot of different things. I like him as a lead as Intimidate can hurt any physical leads and taunt can stop other teams from setting up. Waterfall for STAB and Stone Edge for other Gyarados. Extra speed point to outspeed other Bulky Gyarados leads

Gengar@Life Orb
Levitate
Timid Nature
4 HP/ 252 SpAtk/ 252 Spe
-Focus Blast
-Thunderbolt
-Shadow Ball
-Hypnosis

My main special sweeper. Shadow Ball for STAB and because Cresselia does not like it. Thunderbolt for bulky waters that can wall some of my other pokemon. Focus Blast, while unreliable provides the attacking coverage that Gengar needs. Hypnosis for anything else that I can't take care of.

Infernape@Life Orb
Blaze
Naive Nature
24 Atk/ 252 SpAtk/ 232 Spe
-Close Combat
-Flamethrower
-Grass Knot
-Nasty Plot

Mixed sweeper to help take out walls. Flamethrower does away with Skarmory and Bronzong and Grass Knot kills almost every bulky water after a NP. Tough to bring in, but when it does it can really do some damage.

Metagross@Choice Band
Clear Body
Adamant
252 HP/ 232 Atk/ 12 Def/ 12 Spe
-Explosion
-Earthquake
-Meteor Mash
-Bullet Punch

Physical tank who does the little things for this team. Meteor Mash and EQ can deal good damage, but the other two moves are what really attracted me to Metagross. Bullet Punch is there to take out Weavile and because prority moves in general rock. Explosion is the last resort move that helps me not to get swept, or tear down a wall that I am having trouble with.

Cresselia@Leftovers
Levitate
Timid
252 HP/ 96 Def/ 160 Spe
-Ice Beam
-Psychic
-Calm Mind
-Moonlight

Calm Mind Cresselia has got to be one of my favorite Pokemon. It acts as great special tank. It is also the only thing on my team that can deal with Garchomp. I am not sure about the EVs as I wanted to use CM Cress but wanted it to be more durable than the one listed in the analysis. I kept the speed because outspeeding Adamant CB Heracross seems to be pretty important.

Garchomp@Yache Berry
Sand Veil
Jolly
6 Hp/ 252 Atk/ 252 Spe
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Fang
-Swords Dance

The centerpiece of the team. Garchomp is a ridiculous sweeper with STAB Earthquake, Dragon Claw, and the ability to use Swords Dance. Yache Berry is there so I can get in a Swords Dance without fearing ice attacks. Fire Fang obviously for Skarmory and Bronzong but I would rather have those things gone by the time Chomp comes out.

So there it is. Rip/tear/criticize/and maybe compliment away.

You said that Garchomp is the centerpiece of this team....

How do you go about elimination Garchomps counters? How do the other pokemon compliment Garchomp? When do you bring Garchomp in? These questions need to be answered if Garchomp is the centerpiece to his whole team.

Anyways, moving on. Opposing Gengar can hit you quite hard, especially if they're using HP Ice. Same with Infernape. Gyarados can't keep coming in, especially with the threat of a Nasty Plot'd Grass Knot OHKOing with Stealth Rock support. Cresselia takes a minimum of 78% from a Nasty Plot, Life Orb Fire Blast. Flamethrower does a min of 62%. Tentacruel could actually deal with both Infernape and Gengar. Offensive Tentacruel sets aren't unheard of either, especially with the 100 base speed that it boasts. You could possibly run an attacking set, and retain enough bulkiness to still counter Gengar / Infernape. I would replace either Infernape or Metagross, so that you don't add a third ground weakness to the team.

Iggybot: Infernape and Gengar are the main attackers that eliminate the things that wall Garchomp. Infernape takes out steels that resist EQ with flamethrower, and with a NP can kill bulky waters like Suicune, Swampert, Slowbro, and Milotic, along with other physical walls like Donphan and Hippowdon. With Hypnosis and tbolt Gengar can also beat bulky (non sleep talking) waters, and shadow ball does away with Cresselia. Metagross kills Weavile who can threaten to end a Chomp sweep and can also deal with Cresselia. Metagoss also resists both of Chomps weaknesses and can explode on a Garchomp counter i can't kill. Gyarados can hurt counters like Vaporeon and Suicune if they are not using HP electric, and can set up on Hippowdon and Donphan without Stone Edge. Cresselia can switch in and CM up on virtually any Chomp counter and can threaten to sweep if it gets enough CMs in.

In terms of bringing Chomp in, electric immunity and stealth rock resist, along with good defenses provide good opportunities to come in. Yache Berry means that I don't have to fear the initial HP ice that many expect to OHKO Chomp with. I would definitely wait until the bulky water/flying steel is gone so I can let it sweep.

Maybe "centerpiece" was the wrong term. While the ideal situation is to achieve a Garchomp sweep, nearly everything on my team has the potential to sweep the other team.

On the Topic of Gengar/Infernape wrecking my team, Tentacruel is an interesting suggestion. Even after looking at the analysis I am still not sure what set that I would run. In terms of who to kick off on my current team, Infernape seems to be the odd man out. I feel that I need Gross or Weavile will eat my team alive. The set that seems to be in the lead would be a either a choice specs set, or scraping the "6 sweepers" idea and go with a "5 sweepers and one support" idea.

The only problem I see, is that nobody is going to leave Skarmory or Cresselia in on Gengar, and they sure as hell aren't going to bring Hippowdon, Swampert, Milotic, Blissey, Skarmory, or any of those pokemon into Infernape. Something that could be usful is Magnezone. It traps Skarmory and Bronzong, forcing the KO. As an added bonus, Gyarados and Magnezone together resist every type in the game. It's up to you whether you want to try Magnezone and / or Tentacruel or not, I'm just putting up suggetions, since it seems that you do want to make Garchomp sweep.

And yeah, offensive teams don't have to be 6 sweepers, that's not true at all.
