Can't get my shoddy battle to work at school. Help?

I have shoddy battle on my lap top and it works fine at home, but when I bring it to school, it will not display the smogon room for me to join. It displays all the other rooms just not the smogon one. Any suggestions on how I can get that one to come up?
 
I have a similar issue, only at my school, no servers show up, I usually just bring my Ds, but this is an issue when i try to look like im working...
 
Does it show a popup error saying it cannot connect to the internet? Or maybe you should just write down the host & ports to servers you want to go to.
