Can't get this to work

Hey, I can't seem to download shoddy battle. I download it from the link, takes all of a split second. But when I try to open it, my computer seems to be unable to read the .jpnl file (or whatever its called) and cannot open it.
My computer then asks me to open it with a different program, or search the web for it (which turns up no results)

Any helpful help to be given?

Try going into Programs and Features, completely un-install it. My shoddy is unable to open rather frequently, and that's what I do. Works every time.
If that fails, it must be a problem with your reader program. Try updating it if that doesn't work. (If you can that is)
 
I can't find it in the add/remove programs list.
Also it seems to be obsessed with only opening in IE, and simply showing me some of the code.
Another note is that it does appear in the "downloads" file. but nowhere else.
 
You should check firewalls too.

Shoddy did not initially work on my computer because my firewall blocked it and it took me forever to eventually look there.

It could be as simple s unchecking a box to allow you the download.
