Hi Smogon, I'm here with a new stall team I've been playing with for a while. I have had a decent number of wins out of it, but I think I need some improvement
Skarmory @leftovers
Trait: sturdy
EVs: 252 hp, 252 def, 4 spdef
Nature: Bold
-Taunt
-Roost
-Whirlwind
-Spikes
Standard set, but doesn't it show how awesome the set is? anyway, spikes is there because you need them in stall. whirlwind is great for residual damage and is great for messing with momentum. roost is amazing for survival and helps survive ice electric and rock moves, provided the opponent is slower. taunt is so that the hazards are not prevented by opposing pokemon.
Celebi @leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 hp, 252 def, 4 spe
Nature: Lax
-U-turn
-Giga Drain
-Recover
-Perish Song
This celebi has a very standard moveset, and its typing is very beneficial for a stall team. unlike most celebis, this one has a physical stat spread, because this allows it to deal with Breloom extremely easy, which can easily crush my team otherwise. the moves are standard otherwise; U-turn is good for momentum and getting solid damage on Breloom. giga drain gets easy damage on water types and provides some recovery. recover is so celebi doesn't die too quickly. perish song is to stop setup sweepers from cleaning through my team. leftovers for extra recovery.
Jirachi @choice scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 hp, 252 spdef, 4 atk
Nature: Careful
-Iron head
-Body slam
-Trick
-Wish
Jirachi is a great pokemon for most any team, because it counter so many pokemon with a specially defensive spread. with trick it can easily screw any defensive pokemon and wish is good for recovery. it is also landorus-t's only form of recovery. (and Alakazams recovery, but as if it needs it) iron head is helpful for getting extra damage and flinches, and body slam is amazing for paralysis. the Evs are so it can counter special threats.
Landorus-t @leftovers
Trait: Intimidate
Evs: 252 Att, 248 hp, 8 spe
Nature: adamant
-Earthquake
-Stone Edge
-U-turn
-Stealth Rock
Landorus-t is a complete beast nowadays, and far more useful than its Incarnate form. with Earthquake and Stone Edge, it gets good neutral coverage and can deal great damage to a lot of annoying pokemon like Gyarados and Tentacruel. U-turn is awesome for momentum and killing Celebi which can be a huge pain for my team. stealth rock is a requirement on all competitive teams and landorus-t is a gold standard when it comes to setting it up. the EVs are so it has high damage output but still has considerable bulk as well. the 8 speed EVs are to speed creep other landorus-ts.
Alakazam @Focus Sash
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 spat, 252 spe, 4 hp.
Nature: Modest
-Psychic
-Focus Blast
-Signal Beam
-Hidden Power Fire
Alakazam is a good pokemon for my team, despite offering absolutely no defensive synergy. It is a great last ditch counter to set-up sweepers like Thundurus-t. because of its amazing speed and ability, it is usually guaranteed two moves to destroy the opponent. Psychic is for a good reliable STAB and it is good for Breloom. Focus Blast and Signal Beam offer wonderful coverage, while Signal Beam is mostly for Celebi. Hidden Power Fire helps against Scizor, because it often swords dances instead of going straight for the Bullet Punch. The EVs are so it hits hard and fast, while the remainder is pushed into hp for slightly higher bulk. (Not that it helps.)
Sableye @leftovers
Trait: Prankster
EVs: 252 hp, 252 def, 4 Sdef,
Nature: Impish
-Will-O-Wisp
-Recover
-Foul Play
-Taunt
Sableye is here as a spinblocker and a general annoyer. With Will-O-Wisp it can wall physical attackers and wear them down quickly, using their attack against them through the use of foul play. Priority taunt helps to stop stealth rocks and status against Sableye, which ruins it. Recover is here because most every pokemon on a stall team needs reliable recovery and it helps wall physical attackers much more easily. The EVs give it maximum physical bulk and a slight buffer against special attacks.
