Can't win with Favorites?

I have only very, VERY recently stumbled across Smogon, and with it, competitive pokemon. I believe I understand the current "Meta", at least somewhat. So I've played my hand into the pokemon that I wish to use. Please, any critiques can only make me stronger.

Froslass @Choice Scarf
Ability: Curse Body
EVs: 252 Speed/ 252 Sp. Def/ 6 Health
Timid Nature
Trick, Spike, Destiny Bond, Shadow Ball

Froslass exists as my "set-up" Pokemon, with her unique typing allowing the spikes to remain through a Rapid Spin. Her role is to open up with Trick, which severely limits the move capabilities of the opposing Set-up pokemon, especially if its not an ability heavy Weather Pokemon. The next turns will be 3 Spikes, followed by a safe few shadow balls, and ending with the KO Ensuring Destiny Bond.

Drapion @Leftovers
Ability: Sniper
EVs: 252 Defense/252 Health / 6 Attack
Impish Nature
Toxic Spikes, Cross Posion, Pursuit, Earthquake

Drapion serves the role of a Physical Bruiser, not quite a tank and not quite a sweeper. Toxic Spikes ensure the rest of my team get a little extra kill securing potential, though I do see the possible downside from the ever present Breloom. Cross Poison and Pursuit provide for some excellent STABs, eand earthquake gives Drapion that little extra damage, or a good option against Volcarona or Infernape.

Magnezone @Light Clay(?)
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVS: 252 Health/ 252 Sp. Defense / 6 Defense
Sassy Nature
Reflect, Light Screen, Volt Switch, Hidden Power:

Magnezone is a wonderful support pokemon, capable of taking quite a bit of punishment while still remaining a damage threat. As is probably obvious, Magnezone's main role is put up them defensive screens, and then take a hit to put in either one of my sweepers. Hidden Power: Fire also gives it a little something to deal with the Skarmory, Scizors, and Foretress' of the world, making it a possible candidate to start off some battles.

Volcarona @Leftovers
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 240 HP/ 216 Def/ 56 Speed
Bold Nature
Quiver Dance, Bug Buzz, Fiery Dance, Roost

Volcarona may not seem like it, but this little buggy is bulky as all get out. This compliments his placement as a sweeper, as getting in 2 or 3 quiver dances, on top of toxic spike damage and spike weakening, give it a huge ability to take out some very scary pokemon that other sweepers struggle with. Not to mention, behind some of SWAGnezone's walls, he cant take more than his fair share of hits before being forced into roost.

Virizion @Life Orb
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Attack/ 252 Speed/ 6 Health
Jolly Nature
Swords Dance, Leaf Blade, Close Combat, Stones Edge

Virizion is a prime example of the power of swords dance. After just one, she can plow through most of the UU, and when maxed, become a serious threat to even a few Ubers. Leaf Blade and Close Combat are reliable STABs, dealing great damage to some very troublesome pokemon, with stones edge as a reliable back-up against the ever looming threat of a fire pokemon.

Milotic @Chesto Berry
Ability: Marvel Scale
EVs: 252 Health /252 Defense /6 Sp. Defense
Bold Nature
Aqua Ring, Rest, Dragon Tail, Ice Beam

Milotic is a great choice for a stalling pokemon. Aqua ring is not a bad STAB, and confusing a pokemon is always a big plus in a world run by chance. Dragon tail allows her to become a great shuffler, and rest lets her tank like few other water types out there. Ice beam is great against the threat of Ice pokemon, and Marvel Scale just gives her that much more ability to survive.

From a quick look you seem to understand a few things, but with favourites you won't get far even with decent ones, from a competitive point of view try jellicent or vaporeon over milotic (or if ou really wont shuffling skarmory) maganazone is best with dragon team mates drapion is out classed by so many things that I won't bother putting everything (try T-tar) Virision is decent but there are more useful things out there and breloom is the better grass fighting, abliet alot slower. Froslass is a decent lead and mix ape is a great wall breaker. Bulky crona is a good twist as well.

I understand this team was made purely to enjoy batles with your favourite pokes but thought I'd advise anyway. To get into smogon I recomend just reading and helping a few RMT reading all of the smogs (helped me so much) and maybe make a war story. Hope you enjoy yourself!

I agree with joeydin, you wont get anywhere in the metagame with favourites especially not OU. I would recomend Toxicroak or conkeldurr to replace your drapion as they fit the role much better. as for the rest of the team it looks okay but the best way to make it better is learn from your mistakes and edit your team from there
