This is a spread that splits coverage into both physical and special, in order to get the best of both worlds but also limit the effectiveness of EV investment and offensive items. With Ice Spinner, Gliscor and Lando-T are both 2hkod while other grounds like Great Tusk remains a safe switchin. 115 Atk Knock Off can offer meaningful chip on Libra while retaining it as a counter, and also 2hkos Dragapult. 100 SpA Discharge and Volt Switch are the main Electric STABs and offer high enough damage to force out Electric-neutral offensive mons like Darkrai, and Electric-weak walls like Cresceidon. The defenses are tailored to handle the 2 ghosts targeted by our typing- Dragapult's Dragon Darts and Choice Specs sets, and Gholdengo's Nasty Plot and Choice Scarf sets. 142 Spdef means it is generally winning against most special attackers who also despise paralysis.

Defensive counterplay: Great Tusk, Ting Lu and Libra, and Iron Treads stand out as great ground-type checks to handle this, as well as titanic special walls like Blissey and Malaconda- though both dislike Knock Off and Ice Spinner will wear down Malaconda.

Offensive counterplay: Lando can at least switch in and force it out even on an Ice Spinner, because helmet damage on Ice Spinner into EQ will KO, while also dampening its damage with Intimidate while pivoting into teammates. Zamazenta can threaten its weaker physical side, and sweepers with Tera Electric or Ground will give it a nasty surprise. Mons like Caribolt and Raging Bolt can't be paralyzed and could find a turn to boost in a 1v1, but have a hard time into Ice Spinner sets. Gliscor may not want to risk a switchin, but in a 1v1 it can easily justify taking a hit to land a Toxic. It also has neutrality to all hazards, so Knock Off can hamper it.

Speedwise, this spread outspeeds walls after paralysis (uninvested 80s and below), but underspeeds most boosters after paralysis (underspeeds no speed gholdengo)- this allows you to paralyze, and still underspeed when volt switching out against special boosters to safely go into a wider range of revenge killers- comparable to Thunder Wave Glowking. Talking of which, a Sassy nature will outspeed even a Glowking without a negative nature here- allowing for a powerful Knock Off to hit it first. It also can outspeed Adamant Kingambit and below after a paralysis.

Why this route?
Ice Beam compounds Electromorphosis's threat level and makes it very very hard to switch into safely, between Paralysis, weakness, and 150+BP moves- all boosted by the same EV investment. You're hitting a 240SpA Electric move when you are Electromorphosis boosted at 95 Spa with full invest, and your Ice Beam is ohkoing popular Ground types. Along some of the best defensive stats in the tier and Tera Water, you might have a mon that is trading positively into everything and feels like a total bulldozer. Defensively mons like Blissey start to look like the only decent counterplay imo. Note that most of these Ground types want to run Tera Water, so Tera can't even be used as counterplay to this mon. You'll basically need to switch around it, hope for no Discharge paralysis, and hit it with Toxics, Salt Cures and Leech Seeds so as to not trigger its Electromorphosis- assuming it isn't already Tera'd and already switching in on your Rapid Spins and U-turns.

I added Super Fang because I had room for it, but I don't think it counts as a Ground type answer. Mons like Lando, Gliscor, and Libra can switch in throughout the match on a set like Discharge/Super Fang/Glare/Recover and perform their game-progressing tasks like Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Doom Desire, no matter how many times you halve their HP. This is brutal to deal with.

For this reason, I wanted to split Ice coverage to a different stat so they both couldnt be boosted by the same EV investment, and because physically, Ground types are stronger meaning Tusk, Lando, Gliscor have more counterplay and flexibility while still being hit for at least a chunk. Items and abilities can punish contact moves also, along with Burn, that can hamper the reliability of physical moves.

I am going to have a preliminary slate and round of feedback on Sunday, so think about what you would like to Final Submit.

Additionally, I am increasingly critical of "low base HP spreads." It is extremely efficient (efishent) with Alomomola WishPass, and I don't want that to result in a Pokemon with like 280 PT+ST getting 100% of its HP back whenever its floppy pink friendo decides to blow out its birthday candles and get icing on CAP35.

"Low" HP will vary by spread, but if you are over 60 base HP you should be alright.

I assumed an EV spread of 248/0/8/0/252/0 with a Calm nature for my calculations. There may be a more optimal spread that invests more in physical bulk since you have some breathing room there. Bulk for Hisuian Samurott (Razor Shell never 2HKOes), physical Iron Valiant (max investment Close Combat never OHKOes), and Gholdengo (Scarf Focus Blast never 2HKOes). It also has enough bulk to live a +2 Body Press from Skarmory. Special Attack gives it a guaranteed 2HKO into Skarmory with Discharge (OHKO with Electromorphosis, so you always win the interaction with the previously mentioned bulk benchmark). Speed is for Corviknight and Venomicon but also outpaces some other key targets like Pelipper and Alomomola. The goal of this spread is to give CAP 35 the tools it needs to compete as a defensive centerpiece with Pokemon like Arghonaut and Venomicon.

Defining Moves: Volt Switch, Ice Beam, Super Fang (-20 BSR)

This is I think a fairly staple Snorlax-lite kitchen-sink build, with good mixed bulk and as many of the defining moves as possible. The notable exception is Glare which I have chosen to exclude because I personally think it is a less interesting route than either Ice Beam or Super Fang in handling Ground types and believe it will further contradict with wanting to use Electromorphosis boosted Discharges as a means to spread paralysis.

65 Speed is enough to outspeed Kingambit, Equilibra and Venomicon without investment.

85 SpA is more than enough for Ice Beam to secure the 2HKO against both Gliscor and Landorus.
4 SpA Heliolisk Ice Beam vs. 244 HP / 228+ SpD Gliscor: 204-240 (57.9 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Poison Heal
4 SpA Heliolisk Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 272-324 (71.2 - 84.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Discharge is able to 2HKO a range of targets such as Venomicon with an unboosted into Electromorphosis boosted scenario.
4 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Venomicon: 150-176 (40.2 - 47.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 4 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Venomicon: 294-348 (78.8 - 93.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The high HP allows for a range of EV spreads to be used to great effect in order to achieve different outcomes on the physical or special side, whilst still being appropriately suitable as a mixed wall.

A standard Special Defensive set of 240 HP, 12 Def, 4 SpA, 252 SpDef with a Calm nature allows CAP 35 to avoid a range of 2HKOs from notable checks and targets. On the physical side it still avoids being 2HKOd by unboosted Venomicon Body Press, Dragapult's Dragon Darts, and on the Special avoids all 2HKOs from Dragapult Draco Meteors, Gholdengo Focus Blasts, +2 Darkrai Dark Pulses and even Equilibra's Earth Power to provide opportunities to Knock, Recover or Super Fang.

152+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 240 HP / 12 Def Heliolisk: 212-250 (42.3 - 49.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
60 Atk Dragapult Dragon Darts (2 hits) vs. 240 HP / 12 Def Heliolisk: 176-210 (35.1 - 41.9%) -- approx. 3HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 240 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 204-241 (40.7 - 48.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Gholdengo Focus Blast vs. 240 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 206-244 (41.1 - 48.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Darkrai Dark Pulse vs. 240 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 208-246 (41.5 - 49.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Equilibra Earth Power vs. 240 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 192-228 (38.3 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

That said, a Physically defensive set is also possible, with 232 HP, 252 Def and 24 SpDef with a Bold nature. This still avoids the 2HKO from 2 consecutive Draco Meteors from Specs Dragapult with Leftovers, and now improves the Hemogoblin and bulky Kingambit matchups by avoiding some notable 2HKOs. It can also avoid the OHKO from a few boosted physical attackers allowing for opportunities to fire off Electromorphosis boosted Discharges to try and stop a sweep.

252+ Atk Hemogoblin Flare Blitz vs. 232 HP / 252+ Def Heliolisk: 159-187 (31.8 - 37.4%) -- 90% chance to 3HKO

+1 252 Atk Protosynthesis Roaring Moon Earthquake vs. 232 HP / 252+ Def Heliolisk: 402-474 (80.5 - 94.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 232 HP / 24 SpD Heliolisk: 423-499 (84.7 - 100%) -- 6.3% chance to 2HKO

This is a tweak of my earlier Spread #1, taking a lot of the offensive power out of CAP 35 and replacing it with even more bulk. I've also trimmed the fat by removing access to Super Fang, which is redundant with our overall higher SpA/Atk compared to other submitted spreads. Instead, the only optional move added is Volt Switch, which combined with our 29 Speed gives us a lot of potential momentum gain. We can rely on Knock Off/Hyper Voice/Body Slam to punish Ground-type switch ins.

Speaking of which, lets talk about our new calcs against our intended targets and counters.

a quick addendum: all calcs will be using 252 HP/252 SpDef/4 Def invest, a Sassy (+SpDef/-Speed) nature, and Leftovers. While its' very possible CAP 35 will prefer utilizing physical defense investments, a majority of the pokemon we wish to counter are special attackers and as such, my calcs here will be using that spread assuming CAP 35's role to be a specially defensive Wall who intends to spread paralysis, do generate momentum with slow and large Volt Switch, knocking, and overall just being really hard to kill. A potential secondary set worth calculating with would be a max Defense Rocky Helm set to do chip against Rapid Spinners, but I'm going to focus on the first set for preliminary calcs.

That being said, lets get into it with the most contentious MU:

Earth Power doing less than 40% means we can even switch IN on Equilibra should we choose to do so. While we aren't exactly going to threaten it out, CAP 35 can threaten a Knock, and eat endless Doom Desires. Pain Split is a little bit annoying but not the end of the world.

1729899718878.png

even a weird Max SpA set can't do much to us. We can still outmuscle Earth Power with our 50% Recovery.

:gholdengo:
1729899830754.png

Yeah, we completely counter Gholdengo. Even if Gholdie chooses to run Focus Blast, it only deals 35-42% (70-84% with +2) against us. If Gholdie tries to boost in front of us, it eats a knock for ~40%, and we can tank an FBlast and switch out leaving Gholdie on ~10-20% (easy pickings for our offensive teammates.)

also, against non-fblast sets
1729900047005.png

lol we can almost tank two +6 Make it Rains. Gholdie is a non issue.

:dragapult:
1729900110112.png

hex is even worse lmao

:chuggalong:
1729900215182.png

only thing that might bother us is tera ground tera blast, though that's a huge amount of oppurtunity cost when scarf Kyurem or similar teammates can pick up a kill on a paralyzed, chipped Chugg (thanks for the unban OU guys)

:Cresceidon: does essentially 0 damage to us, where we can knock/paralyze and pivot with a heavy volt switch.
1729900456581.png

:Gliscor: (like most grounds) is rough but with minimal defensive investment we can live two Earthquakes.
1729900512422.png

:moltres: is a joke
1729900572939.png

no clue what :kitsunoh: runs right now, but we live a LOrb CC and can paralyze/knock/pivot into a favorable matchup.
1729900640368.png

:Great Tusk: is still really rough though again, with minimal defensive investment + hyper voice, we can at least surprise it with heavy chip.
1729900718735.png

1729900757513.png

All in all, this is enough raw bulk to definitively give CAP 35 a solid niche even into pokemon that would hard wall it.

Optional Moves: Super Fang, Glare, Volt Switch (-15 BSR)

This spread takes a very specially bulky approach to create a special wall capable of switching in to a large number of threats and force them out with the threat of Glare or Electromorphosis, having Super Fang as its way to break past ground types. The main purpose of this spread is to outspeed venomicon while also maintaning enough bulk to live 2 Gholdengo Focus Blasts with as little investment as possible, alongside a large number of offensive threats it can handle that can't hit harder than it.

The following calcs use this spread to optimize the threats it can handle from both sides of the attacking spectrum.
EVs: 96 HP / 244 Def / 132 SpA / 32 SpD / 4 Spe
This spread hits a compromise between defense and special defense for certain mixed targets while retaining good damage. It also allows you to have some extra speed evs incase venom tries to run some. Evs can be rearranged for more special bulk for targets like Choice Specs Kyurem / Focus Blast Darkrai or harder hitting electric stabs.
152+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 96 HP / 244 Def Heliolisk: 238-282 (42.1 - 49.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Gholdengo Focus Blast vs. 96 HP / 32+ SpD Heliolisk: 238-282 (42.1 - 49.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ SpA Raging Bolt Draco Meteor vs. 96 HP / 32+ SpD Heliolisk: 217-256 (38.4 - 45.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 96 HP / 32+ SpD Heliolisk: 237-280 (41.9 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Optional Defining Moves: Volt Switch (-2.5 BSR)

Despite having slightly higher Defense than Special Defense, my spread was designed primarily in mind with being a special wall (I'll elaborate on this later in the post) that is able to reliably deal with Dragapult and non-Focus Blast Gholdengo, while also having a secondary niche of being able to very effectively harass the tier's Flying-types thanks to its Speed, access to Electromorphosis, and high Defense minimizing the damage we take from Body Press (Which like most of the good Flying-types in the tier have right now).

There was really no specific reason as to why I choose this exact stat other than it being the same as Heliolisk, and that I was too lazy to bother changing that one stat when grabbing calcs. I do think that having low HP and high Defense/Special Defense works really well here, so it kinda worked out in the end.

Dump stat

Like I said, despite my spread having more Defense than Special Defense, I don't think that our ability to take physical hits here is as important as our ability to take special hits. That being said, we want to be able to check Flying-types as an Electric-type, which conflicts a bit with our typing making us weak to Fighting since we have quite a few Flying-types running around with Body Press on their movepool. I decided to give us a fairly high amount of physical bulk so that we can compensate for this discrepancy without having to invest too much, allowing us to pour our EVs into Special Bulk.

As for specifics, 62/146 Physical Bulk makes sure that with 252 HP / 4 Def and a neutral nature, we are never 2HKO'd by +0 Body Press from the standard Skarmory spread, which by corollary means that we are also never OHKO'd by +2 Body Press from it. Also while I didn't set out to do this, we also always survive +2 Sucker Punch from last mon Gambit with 252 HP / 8 Def and a neutral nature, which while I don't think will come up too often, is something that I thought would be pretty neat to point out, especially considering it doesn't really mess with the main benchmark I set out to reach here for our special bulk.

152+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 116-138 (35.3 - 42%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 124-148 (37.8 - 45.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 120-142 (36.5 - 43.2%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252+ Def Corviknight Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 238-280 (72.5 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
160+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 136-162 (41.4 - 49.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 160+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 252 HP / 8 Def Heliolisk: 272-322 (82.9 - 98.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

(I checked and these are all the same with 252 HP / 4 Def)

I admittedly didn't give a ton of thought to our exact Special Attack stat here, I mostly just wanted something fairly high so that we can exert some sort of offensive pressure with Electromorphosis and our ability to outspeed most Flying-types in the tier, but not high enough to the point where it would start to encourage more offensive sets.

0 SpA Heliolisk Hyper Voice vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Great Tusk: 138-163 (37.1 - 43.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and 3 layers of Spikes
0 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Venomicon: 144-170 (38.6 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Heliolisk Charged Discharge vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Venomicon: 288-338 (77.2 - 90.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Corviknight: 168-200 (42.1 - 50.1%) -- 35.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
0 SpA Heliolisk Charged Discharge vs. 248 HP / 8 SpD Corviknight: 336-396 (84.2 - 99.2%) -- 75% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Skarmory: 200-236 (59.8 - 70.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
0 SpA Heliolisk Charged Discharge vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Skarmory: 396-468 (118.5 - 140.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
0 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Moltres: 168-200 (43.8 - 52.2%) -- 14.5% chance to 2HKO
0 SpA Heliolisk Charged Discharge vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Moltres: 338-398 (88.2 - 103.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

Compared to many of the other spreads that were submitted, I decided to be a bit more conservative with the exact amount of Special Defense here, parking ourselves at the ability to survive two back-to-back Make It Rains from +6 Gholdengo. I personally think that it's perfectly fine for us to be a bit more conservative with our special bulk here, as we are still very much capable of beating Dragapult and most Gholdengo sets (Primarily ones not carrying Focus Blast, there's not much we can really do if it does have it), as well as threaten Nasty Plot Venomicon sets efficiently.

+6 252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 222-261 (67.6 - 79.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+6 252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 417-490 (127.1 - 149.3%) -- guaranteed KO in 2 turns (You survive if you clicked Recover)
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 148-175 (45.1 - 53.3%) -- 35.2% chance to 2HKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 223-263 (67.9 - 80.1%) -- not a KO
8 SpA Venomicon Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 38-45 (11.5 - 13.7%) -- possible 8HKO
8 SpA Venomicon Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 63-75 (19.2 - 22.8%) -- possible 5HKO
+6 8 SpA Venomicon Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 153-180 (46.6 - 54.8%) -- 67.2% chance to 2HKO
+6 8 SpA Venomicon Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Heliolisk: 250-295 (76.2 - 89.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I decided to go with 83 Speed as I wanted us to be able to outspeed the standard Skarmory set without investment, while still being able to underspeed Gholdengo. This creates a really nice dynamic where the Flying-types we want to check are unable to play around Electromorphosis with Roost, which forces them to switch or take massive damage, if not get outright OHKOed. It also works really nicely with Pokemon such as Hex Gholdengo, underspeeding it so that we can safely take a Thunder Wave and generate momentum with Volt Switch. I personally think that this is the biggest selling point of my spread, and I do think it's really unfortunate that more people aren't experimenting with these types of speed tiers.

As it stands, all Final Submitted spreads fit the limits for CAP35 and clearly define themselves as walls. As such, they will all be slated. I would have no reason to omit any of them from the public vote. Since this is a larger slate, I will discuss with kenn our polling options. My goal is if your slate fits, I will allow the community vote to narrow the slate, not my own decision. I will withhold my vote from the poll to act as a tierbreaker if necessary.

As an Ice Bream spread, this one feels quite fair. It's stat spread enables a bit more offensive pressure, but not enough to breach past the role of a wall. I think the bulk feels very almost like its trying to thread the needle instead of indulge in excess; I respect the approach. I like the clear distinction from the other 68 Speed spreads with its focus on offense over mixed bulk.

A faster and weaker spread with good mixed bulk is an interesting idea. Lean in more on the Super Fang most damage, using Electromorphosis to turn you Electric moves from poor into decent. Intentionally limiting Speed to require investment to outspeed paralyzed Zamazenta seems fair for a paralysis user. I think a spread like this might play with some speed investment benchmarks for outspeeding with paralysis support. I like this spread!

Defining Moves: Super Fang (-7.5 BSR)

This spread heavily leans into being a special wall with that ginormous 148 SpD stat but holds its own on the physical side of things as well. I think this spread becomes unique when you look at the Speed stat. 87 Speed specifically allows 4 EVs to be utilized and therefore outpace Dragapult and anything slower so long as they are paralyzed. I only used Super Fang as a defining move mainly because I genuinely believe chunking away at other walls/Grounds with Super Fang allows our Electromorphosis'd STAB to be a bit more potent. Ice Beam is cool to nail Gliscor, but I just don't think it is worth the strain it puts on potential utility 35 may want. Glare and Volt Switch are also cool, but I wanted the stats moreso than the "guarantee" of 35 having these moves. I know with Super Fang included I'm over by .6 BSR, but hopefully the calcs can explain why this small overstep is worth it.

As Brambane mentioned, this spread is centered less around all around bulk and more about covering major thresholds that you would want a Specially-inclined wall to be able to have access to. As a side effect, this spread comes with a great deal of Special bulk, letting CAP 35 have a strong shot at 1v1ing a vast majority of Special wallbreakers. The primary ones I aimed for with this spread were Darkrai, Dragapult, and, of course, Gholdengo.

Darkrai stood out to me as it's prolific for its high power and asinine coverage, so having a Pokemon that is overall bulky enough to be more willing to come in on Darkrai is something I believe would help cement a valuable niche for CAP 35 defensively. Gholdengo is 99% covered by our typing, but this spread is also geared to give CAP 35 resilience into Focus Blast variants. Dragapult on the other hand is interesting. This statline with max investment is also able to tank two Tera Dragon Choice Specs Draco Meteors from Dragapult, but the big kicker is the Defense, letting it more handily stomach mixed Hex variants that we would want to go out of our way to check. With just max HP, this statline can tank two Dragon Darts from the standard CAP spread. This spread can take on all of the prolific Dragapult variants that aren't Choice Band or Dragon Dance. Of course there are some other nice thresholds too but these are the main ones I built the statline around.

To put things in a nice, bow here is a list of major thresholds this statline can take on.

In terms of Special targets:
- Darkrai Focus Blast
- Gholdengo Focus Blast
- Tera Dragon Choice Specs Dragapult Draco Meteor
- Equilibra Earth Power
- Offensive Primarina Moonblast at +1

In terms of Physical targets:
- Mixed Dragapult Dragon Darts (guaranteed without status, heavily favored if Burned)
- Uninvested Landorus-T Earthquake
- Max Adamant Dragonite Earthquake after Stealth Rock and 1 layer of Spikes
- Max Attack Roaring Moon Earthquake

---

Regarding offense:

I wanted to lean into the big two moves that I believe are most conducive for CAP 35's success: Ice Beam and Super Fang. I omitted the other options because I don't really think Volt Switch is super useful for us and Glare is overkill given that we are going to be spamming Discharge out the ass anyway. Ice Beam is important because it lets us actually do something into the big walls that we are otherwise complete fodder for. This SpAtk is a bit high, but not high enough to make Electromorphosis overly potent; it's just enough to secure a 2HKO on standard SpDef Gliscor with Ice Beam after Poison Heal without investment. However it also hits other really nice thresholds you'd want from it, such as OHKOing Landorus-T without investment after Stealth Rock and having an extremely favorable chance to 2HKO max HP Great Tusk after Stealth Rock (outright 2HKOing if a Spike is up).

Super Fang isn't really something you can creep for, but I find it similarly valuable given that Ting-Lu, Equilibra, and Clodsire are dastardly counters to our current setup. Especially considering that Ting-Lu and Equilibra lack reliable recovery, it lets CAP 35 always have the ability to exert some kind of pressure even into its worst matchups, and this can pair really well with Electromorphosis's damage boost into more resilient walls if a charge is being held.

Lastly, the Speed is a pretty simple threshold: it's enough to outspeed uninvested Corviknight. I like this threshold because it lets us use Electromorphosis-boosted STAB to always pose a passive threat into it, which can be useful for teams that need pressure on bulky Flying-types like Corviknight but also really want the defensive spread of CAP 35. This also comes with the benefit of outpacing Skeledirge, Equilibra, and Primarina naturally, which could matter if we need to pick any of these Pokemon off.

When I designed the spread I didn’t think this would end up kinda middle of the road compared to others and actually tend on the bulkier side. Now there are quite a few more extreme spreads out there, which I didn’t expect, but this spread still has one of the higher mixed bulk options that doesn’t gut Speed or Special Attack entirely.

This Spread includes Both Glare and Ice Beam.

Since it has Glare, I’m assuming it will most often run Tbolt over Discharge, as Glare just has a much wider range of targets.

I started with two defensive Benchmarks in mind:
Being able to take 2 non Black Glasses Kowtow Cleaves with 5 allies fainted when at max physical defense investment and Taking 2 Scarf Dengo Focus Blasts when at max Special Defense investment, which also lets you gamble on Focus Blasts from Dengo, when not specially invested.

From that Special Defense Benchmark it was only a small Step to being able to tank two Dragapult Draco Meteors without SpD investment.

After checking back on the physical defense, I have now opted to slightly increase the benchmark from the gambit calc, to be able to take 2 Body Presses from Venom at +1.

Just being able to tank hits from Gambit is not enough to effectively deal with it.

This is why I chose the Special Attack to have favorable rolls for a 2HKO with Electromorphosis against all Kingambit variants, which allows you to Check it consistently during early and mid game.

While you cannot keep up with the offensive Gambit variants Speed Tier, you do outspeed Bulky Gambit and threaten Glare and a clean 2hko vs. offensive.

This does not mean that 35 will be able to beat the King in a 1v1 as it can set up SD and KO at +4 (+2 for Black Glasses or Tera Dark) That said it allows you to heavily pressure Gambit and thus a) takes Pressure off other Gambit Checks and b) might enable 35 to pick off a weakened Gambit.

I again opted for a slight increase in SpA over the original Gambit Benchmark, as it ensures a favorable roll to OHKO Venomicon with boosted Thunderbolt. While you do underspeed Venom without para, It allows 35 to easily force out Venom if hit on a switch in and is especially interesting, as Venom requires +5 defenses to OHKO this spread at max phys def, which means it has to roostspam vs. 35 to be able to break past, which in turn puts Book at risk of getting paralyzed and burns through roosts, thus clearly shifting the matchup in 35s favor.

The Speed Tier itself means with Glare you are able to outspeed Bulky Kingambit and anything up to 85 Speed without investment. With 12 Speed evs this also includes being able to outrun Great Tusk after being Paralyzed, which could be interesting for Ice Beam Sets.

Ice Beam is there because Gliscor is a bitch. While you cannot 2hko Glisc through protect, you do hit for significant damage.
That said, it’s not central to this Spread at such low SpA and has to compete with Knock Off and Glare for the third Spot on the moveset.
Dropping Ice Beam means Gliscor becomes a fairly easy switch in, but Glare and Knock are better at pressuring Libra and Ting Lu.
Dropping Knock means Libra and Garg are basically free vs. 35, while dropping Glare means you likely wanna run Discharge, which limits the offensive Output a bit or requires some SpA investment.
Still, given the flexibility of EVs with this spread I think all of these options should be possible to run.

Notable Defining Moves: Super Fang (-7.5 BSR)

As discussed, this is a Super Fang-focused spread that goes for higher speed and lower special attack with solid but slightly lower bulk overall. The higher speed will mean electromorphis is a little more limited in application, and I would think that this spread would discourage use of Volt Switch so I've not included it. The higher speed allows for easier switch ins since it can recover health with its 50% recovery move, or threaten slower attackers before taking a second hit. Utility wise, this wall would match up well against other defensive pokemon, threatening status, knock off, or even a weak attack. EV spreads allow for the choice of outspeeding particular offensive targets in exchange for bulk. Some speed thresholds are listed below.

248+ -> 294 Speed, outspeeds max speed Gholdengo without Paralysis
192+ -> 279 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Roaring Moon
224 -> 262 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Walking Wake
216 -> 260 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Chuggalong and Adamant Dragonite
188 -> 253 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed Deoxys-Speed
64 -> 222 Speed, outspeeds Parlyzed Choice Scarf Samurott-H
56 -> 220 Speed, outspeeds standard defensive Moltres
20 -> 211 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed Dragapult
4 -> 207 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed Jolly Zamazenta
0 -> 206 Speed, outspeeds standard :Arghonaut::Mollux::Venomicon::Primarina::Equilibra::Malaconda::Ting-Lu::Snaelstrom: as well as everything paralyzed at +0 except Zamazenta, Dragapult, and Deoxys-S

On the defensive side, it will take a little investment to avoid super effective KOs, for example 252 Hp / 208+ SpD is needed to avoid a KO against gholdengo's +2 Focus Blast. However the mixed bulk can be a great asset as even without investment Dragapult is unable to 2HKO with Dragon Darts without a Choice Band.

If physical defence is desired, CAP35 can size up well against several top threats, tanking Ogerpon's Power Whip for a 3HKO at max defence, and comfortably surviving an adamant Kowtow Cleave from a Kingambit with 5 allies fainted. At 0 special defense investment, weaker attacks like Dragapult's Draco Meteor will still deal less than half, and it has a good chance to avoid a 2HKO from deoxys's Psycho Boost + Superpower combo.

+2 252 SpA Chuggalong Clanging Scales vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD CAP35: 220-261 (51.4 - 60.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Darkrai Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD CAP35: 176-208 (41.1 - 48.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

0 Atk Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 168 Def CAP35: 180-212 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Overall this spread prioritizes speed and bulk over damage. 65 special attack is poor, leaving CAP35 to rely mostly on Super Fang for damage and limiting its role to recovering and statusing most threats. However Electromorphis is still valuable, letting even uninvested weak moves like Discharge hit for good chip against weaker opposing threats. Additionally, the speed means the threat of such an attack can be enough to clean up against a weakened paralyzed foe or opposing wall.

Notable Defining Moves: Discharge, Volt Switch (-2.5 BSR), Glare (-5 BSR)

Like with most sets that I make, The goal of this set is simple: It focuses first on ensuring we have the bulk to perform well in our main matchup of Gholdengo, then balancing the remaining stats in order to ensure a good mix of physical bulk and offensive presence. I felt that speed, while useful, was uneccessary to put too much emphasis on, as with Discharge and Glare, we can still potentially outspeed any of the bulkier mons that we wanted to outspeed without spending too much BSR on those matchups. Additionally, the inclusion of Volt Switch means that 35 can function as a slow pivot if needed.

Special Bulk
120 HP + 122 SpD's main goal is to make absolute sure that we avoid being 2hko'd by offensive Gholdengo's Focus Blast, and not being OHKO'd after a Nasty Plot boost. Not only does this ensure that opposing Gholdengo have to respect 35's presence in a battle, but it also means that Dragapult and Darkrai will have a difficult time 2hko'ing it, and Chuggalong's Clanging Scales won't put 35 past the point of no return.

Physical Bulk
While the physical bulk isn't exactly impressive, it does allow for 35 to survive a +1 body press from Venomicon, as well as avoid the 2hko from Dragapults Dragon Darts. additionally, the great special bulk of this set means that there's room to invest more into defense to avoid KO's from stronger physical attacks.

+1 152+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Heliolisk: 310-366 (69.8 - 82.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
60 Atk Dragapult Dragon Darts (2 hits) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Heliolisk: 170-204 (38.2 - 45.9%) -- approx. 3HKO

Special Attack
The special attack was calc'd in order to always 2hko bulky Gholdengo with Electro-Discharge, as well as always KO'ing a Corviknight after chip and dealing significant damage to Venomicon.

+2 0 SpA Heliolisk Discharge vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Gholdengo: 189-223 (50 - 58.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Gonna make a quick post regarding my support for other spreads, while I think something like 12 different spreads for the first poll might be too much I still see the merit of the idea. That being said, if the slate were to be trimmed out a bit, these would be my recommendations for slate worthy spreads:

Gekokeso: 200 HP / 43 Atk / 31 Def / 83 SpA / 98 SpD / 65 Spe (Glare, Super Fang, Volt Switch)
Yeah yeah, Obama praising Obama meme, whatever. Not much more to argue about my spread's inclusion other than it is the spread with the highest special bulk that still goes above the 64 speed benchmark.

Ausma: 93 Hp / 59 Atk / 89 Def / 94 SpA / 127 SpD / 68 Spe (Ice Beam, Super Fang)
Similar idea to my spread, although with a different approach to its available moves and evs. Rather than giving out the option to go further in on one attacking side than the other for more flexibility, it limits its EV flexibility in exchange for key consistent matchups, a decent special attack stat, and the ability to use two moves that largely improve this pokémon's matchup against switch-ins to its Charged-boosted attacks.

Da Pizza Man: 62 HP / 38 Atk / 146 Def / 83 SpA / 143 SpD / 83 Spe (Volt Switch)
This spread trades bulk in exchange for a significantly higher speed stat than other spreads. It still hits a large number of desired defensive benchmarks however, which means that this spread can come in quite a decent amount of situations to paralyze stuff and then outspeed them / switch out to a teammate.

TheDuckChris: 112 HP / 50 Atk / 97 Def / 65 SpA / 116 SpD / 85 Spe (Super Fang)
This spread is very similar to Da Pizza Man's stat spread in that it goes for a higher speed stat, the highest of all spreads shown so far. It trades having enough bulk to live key defensive checkmarks that DPM's spread doesn't for Special Attack, meaning it can't qiute threaten as many switch-ins as others spreads can. The choice of Super Fang over Volt Switch means that it also trades the ability to pivot into other teammates in exchange for a move that can pressure incoming ground types.

MrDollsteak: 150 HP / 50 ATK / 70 DEF / 85 SPA / 90 SPD / 65 SPE (Volt Switch, Ice Beam, Super Fang)
Probably the one I vouch the most after mine. Hits a large amount of important defensive benchmarks such as living Gholdengo's Focus Blast while still retaining decent physical bulk, with the option to go even further on the physical bulk for targets like Kingambit wihtout sacrificing too many matchups against special attackers. That, coupled with a decent speed stat and multiple move options to make progress against targets that resist / are immune to its charged attacks makes it one of the most versatile spreads in this slate.

Amamama: 136 HP / 73 Atk / 81 Def / 90 SpA / 98 SpD / 56 Spe (Ice Beam, Glare)
Ama's spread trades Speed for EV flexibility that doesn't lose many targets on one side of the defensive spectrum for another. It holds a respectable special attack stat while also having the ability to either hit good Special bulk with respectable Physical benchmarks or go all in one route or another.

Korski: 137 HP / 46 Atk / 58 Def / 85 SpA / 137 SpD / 37 Spe (Ice Beam, Volt Switch, Super Fang)
To me, Korski's spread that best justifys its low speed out of all sub 65 speed stat spreads so far. It has tremendous yet very customizable bulk that can make it a good choice for many teams to slap on. Its very low speed can justified via the fact that it can use it to its advantage with Volt Switch for slow, as well as having Ice Beam and Super Fang as coverage options for Ground types trying to take advantage of it. Very few mons can nail an OHKO to it, allowing the mon to cripple would-be sweepers for its team.

The goal of this spread is to be able to handle Ground-types as best as we can by tanking their moves before either paralyzing them with Glare or cutting down their HP with Super Fang. I specifically focused on our matchup with Equilibra here, tailoring our special bulk to ensure that Earth Power from Libra is a 3HKO. It also makes Scarf Gholdengo's Focus Blast a 3HKO as well, which is huge considering Gholdengo is one of the mons we aim to check the most. The physical bulk ensures that an unboosted Body Press from Venomicon is a 3HKO on CAP 35 while also ensuring that Earthquakes from Ting-Lu and defensive Great Tusk 2HKO, all without the need for maximum Defense EV investment on CAP35. 42 Speed allows us to underspeed a large portion of the metagame to ensure Electromorphosis activates in most scenarios, but also allows us to outpace two of the best walls in the metagame - Glowking and Garganacl. The Special Attack gives CAP35 a favorable roll to OHKO Venomicon and guarantees a 2HKO on bulky Gholdengo with a Electromorphosis-boosted Discharge, while also guaranteeing 2HKOs on Cresceidon, Snaelstrom, and AV Primarina and an OHKO on Moltres with the boosted Discharge.

yeah in the end I didn't end up changing anything xdd. though I did try tinkering around to see if I could slot Volt Switch in here somehow, I do honestly really like the benchmarks I hit with this spread, so in the end, I just decided to stick with what I had :blobnom:

Fiiiine, I'll shelve tactical nuke Blissey. For now. This one is similar to my other WIP, but I've leant further into the bulk, especially on the Special side.

Defining Moves: Glare, Volt Switch [BSR Limit 546.67 --> 539.17]

This excessively bulky blob focusses very much on Being A Sponge, able to withstand strong neutral special blows, sufficient physical blows (though Skarmory is still a pain in the posterior), and retaliate with 180 BP Thunderbolts, 160 BP Discharges, or 140 BP Volt Switches.

My expected spread sees Thunderbolt, Glare, Recover, Knock Off, and Volt Switch (5, pick 4), with a potential spot for Discharge so people can go fishing.

I think Defensive calculations are the more interesting aspect of this spread - I'll be assuming defensive investment 252/116/136+ for these. Key calculations include surviving a pair of +0 Venomicon Body Presses (or one +2 one) and not being 2HKOd by +2 Chuggalong. Gholdengo at +6 is able to make dents with MIR, but we can easily heal off any damage there. Oh, and unlike Blissey spreads, this one can avoid the 3HKO from Dragapult's Dragon Darts with just the HP investment.

152+ Def Venomicon Body Press vs. 252 HP / 116 Def Heliolisk: 170-200 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Chuggalong Clanging Scales vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Heliolisk: 169-201 (41.8 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+6 252 SpA Gholdengo Make It Rain over 2 turns vs. 252 HP / 136+ SpD Heliolisk: 373-439 (92.3 - 108.6%) -- 56.3% chance to 2HKO
60 Atk Dragapult Dragon Darts (2 hits) vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Heliolisk: 162-192 (40 - 47.5%) -- approx. 3HKO

As with many defensive spreads, you can also tweak CAP35 to suit your needs - for instance, Bold 252/176+ allows you to survive a Skarmory +2 Body Press (and Bold 252/184+ lets you avoid the 2HKO from +0), whilst having another 72 EVs leftover (that gives you play to threaten off Venomicon with an 80% TBolt KO if invested in SpA, or room to just ramp up SpD or even keep it in Def).

160+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 252 HP / 184+ Def Heliolisk: 170-200 (42 - 49.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 160+ Def Skarmory Body Press vs. 252 HP / 176+ Def Heliolisk: 340-402 (84.1 - 99.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Offensively, this version of CAP35 doesn't pack a huge whallop - but it's doing enough to force threats like Venomicon to reconsider if they want to stay in - or nudge down a bit of your defensive bulk to force things out.

0 SpA Heliolisk Thunderbolt [180 BP] vs. 248 HP / 108 SpD Venomicon: 336-396 (90 - 106.1%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO

Optional Defining Moves: Super Fang (-7.5 BSR)

This spread is designed primarily around having obscene mixed bulk, allowing it to tank SE physical moves that would otherwise spell the end for a more lopsided wall. While it may not be anything special in the damage department, 80 base SpA is enough for Electromorphosis-boosted STAB to do some decent numbers. Super fang also lets us also threaten a lot of targets that otherwise would be untouchable, and while I considered Ice Beam, this spread just didn't have enough firepower to make use of it, and much more appreciated the extra bulk and SpA offered by forgoing the optional move. Technically this spread goes a liiiittle over the recommended limit for Super Fang builds, but it is under 1 point of BSR off and the difference is entirely for aesthetic reasons (dropping the Atk by 1-2 puts it under the limit).

This spread (252 HP, 4 Def, +252 SpD):
  • Survives an (unboosted) Close Combat from :iron-valiant: or :hawlucha: and then OHKOs with a Charge-boosted Discharge (CC SpD drop matters on valiant)
  • Can take a Headlong Rush from unboosted :great-tusk:
  • Pretty much completely walls all :dragapult: sets (non-band Dragon Darts is a roll to 4HKO, one hit of :choice-specs: Draco Meteor does only 39.8-47%). They also take about ~40% from our Knock Off.
  • +1 Body Press from :venomicon: is a roll to 2HKO, but can become a 3HKO with physically defensive investment. Charge-boosted Discharge 2HKOs, and Thunderbolt can OHKO with at least 156 SpA EVs.
  • Earthquake from :ting-lu: is a roll to 2HKO. 3HKOs if physically invested instead.
  • Earthquake from :gliscor: 3HKOs.
  • Takes 51.1-60.4% from a +2 Clanging Scales from :chuggalong:
  • Survives a +2 Focus Blast from :gholdengo: and :darkrai:
  • +1 Flare Blitz from :hemogoblin: is a 2HKO, +1 Espeed is a 3HKO. Flare Blitz can become a 3HKO with physically defensive investment.
  • +2 Body Press from :skarmory: is a 2HKO (57.4-67.6%) and our Electromorphosis-boosted Discharge is a guaranteed OHKO.

Moves: Volt Switch (-2.5 BSR), Super Fang (-7.5 BSR)

This spread leans into mixed bulk to take on a verity of mons while letting Electromorphosis do the heavy lifting in terms of damage, taking this spread's damage output to somewhat mediocre to something that the opponent needs to respect. Super Fang also helps with the damage by letting you take a chunk out of the opponent without using the Electro boost letting you save it. Volt Switch is nice for letting the mon pivot while also being able to do decent damage with Electromorphosis though admittedly I added it because I had the room with the BSR and didn't feel like the spread gained much from the increase I could've made to the stats without Volt Switch.

Physical Bulk: For the physical bulk my first priority was making sure we can live at least 2 Body Presses from Corv and Venom without any investment into Defense, these were two mons I wanted to ensure we had a good matchup into in general which is also reflected in the speed tier and Sp.Attack. Another mon I wanted to be able to handle was Pult so we could actually utilize our Ghost immunity, as such this spread can live 2 Dragon Darts from it. This spread can also live 2 Flare Blitz from Hemo without Defense investment which isn't as big a focus as the previously mentioned mons but it's still something that could come in handy. With max Defense investment this spread can broaden the scope of mons it can take hits from to include Kingambit, living two Kowtow Cleaves, and Wogerpon, living two Power Whips.

Special Bulk: With max Sp.Defense investment this spread can live 2 Focus Blasts from Gholdengo and Darkrai, with that being the benchmark I aimed for with the special bulk. Additionally this spread can live 2 Dracos from Pult with Sp.Defense investment solidifying our good matchup into Pult regardless of its set. Outside of those targets this spread can soak up hits from various other Special Attackers such as Kirl, Cresceidon and Primarina without Sp.Defense investment.

Special Attack: As mentioned before I let Electromorphosis do the heavy lifting in terms of damage, this was for a few reasons. Firstly, I saw it as a way to get value out of the ability as it lets the spread lean into the defensive nature of the mon instead of needing to pump up the Sp.Attack to reach offensive benchmarks. It also adds depth to how you use the boost as instead of just being able to hit everything as hard as you want with a stronger attack every so often, you instead need the boost for certain benchmarks. Additionally I felt like the more Sp.Attack we had, the less we actually got out of the Electromorphosis boost, for example even with the max Sp.Attack of 115 the Electromorphosis boost still only let us 2HKO Gholdengo which this spread also reaches with 83. Admittedly that is a simplification of it going to that limit does still have value in other areas over where I parked this spread's Sp.Attack, but it does help illustrate that why I didn't go all too high with the Sp.Attack. As for why 83 specifically, without the boost we 4HKO Ghold and 3HKO Vemon and Corv and with the boost we 2HKO all three.

Speed: As mentioned before this outspeeds Corv and Venom to help with the matchup into them. That felt like the point where you don't really get much out of going higher to me.

(Note: The EVs used in the calcs are more to show off what this spread can do with investment from either side)

Hello everyone, and thank you to all who posted and participated!

First, an apology. It was my genuine intention to slate as many spreads as possible. This would have resulted in us doing a Multiple Bold vote, similar to Art Poll 1. Due to the number of options and the fact that stats polls draw less votes than art polls usually, I was considering asking voters to select their Top 3 or Top 5 (this was never finalized) to vote for from the list of all approved final submissions, which would have been all of them in the thread. However, it is actually not within the scope of the Section Leader or Topic Leader to ask for that kind of vote from the community. This also would have required us to remove or delete votes that were not formatted properly.

This means we would need to do just a standard Multiple Bold vote. Some users have expressed that the amount of options would discourage their voting and lead to an “analysis paralysis” as users would need to distinguish between spreads with only marginal differences. It is certainly different to decide to say “yes or no” to every submission than it is to pick your favorite three or five from a list.

Due to these reasons, I feel obligated to create a more standard slate for this process. I am sorry for the submitters who did not make this slate; again, if I could have reasonably slated everyone, I would have. With that being said, coming up with this slate was not easy but I hope it represents a variety of options and potential avenues for CAP35.

The following six submissions are the Final Slate.

The goal of this spread is to give CAP 35 the tools it needs to compete as a defensive centerpiece with Pokemon like Arghonaut and Venomicon.

dex proposes a spread with fantastic mixed bulk and a useful Speed benchmark over Venomicon, Corviknight, and Alomomola. It can survive hits like Iron Valiant Close Combat, as a testament to its physical bulk, with just enough Special Attack to retaliate using Electromorphosis for a potential KO against the -1 Special Defense Iron Valiant. This is the main trend of this spread; focus on mixed bulk, with just enough power to respond with force of its Electric STAB. The lower Special Attack afforded this spread its fantastic bulk, and it definitely fits a wall of our typing.

Assumed EV spread is 248 HP / 16 Def / 240 SpD / 4 Spe

kenn’s 87 Speed with 4 EVs in Speed is the real standout here, just enough to outspeed a paralyzed Dragapult. This gave the spread the edge over the other spreads operating in the 80s for Speed. It’s bulk is notably worse than the other spreads, again focusing more on leveraging the effectiveness of paralysis for Speed control. This spread was probably the most offensive I was comfortable slating., with passable Speed and Special Attack. The large Special Defense stat pulls it back into walling territory, even with only 71 HP. The downside of its offensive profile and Special Defense is relatively poor physical bulk, just enough to avoid the 2HKO from MixPult’s Dragon Darts.

192+ -> 279 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Roaring Moon
224 -> 262 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Walking Wake
216 -> 260 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed +1 Chuggalong and Adamant Dragonite
188 -> 253 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed Deoxys-Speed
64 -> 222 Speed, outspeeds Parlyzed Choice Scarf Samurott-H
56 -> 220 Speed, outspeeds standard defensive Moltres
20 -> 211 Speed, outspeeds Paralyzed Dragapult

0 SpA Equilibra Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD CAP35: 162-192 (37.8 - 44.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252 Atk Wellspring Mask Ogerpon-Wellspring Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def CAP35: 163-193 (38 - 45%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
252+ Atk Black Glasses Supreme Overlord 5 allies fainted Kingambit Kowtow Cleave vs. 252 HP / 0 Def CAP35: 289-342 (67.5 - 79.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252+ Atk Hemogoblin Flare Blitz vs. 252 HP / 0 Def CAP35: 270-318 (63 - 74.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

TheDuckChris brings out another decently fast spread, but this one packs less power and way more physical bulk. Compared to the previous two, it lives somewhat in the middle: lower offenses, good (for a wall) Speed, and great but not incredible mixed bulk. It is a balanced spread, with enough of everything but nothing truly amazing. It has the Speed to hit some key paralysis benchmarks with investment, such as Zamazenta and Dragapult.

Pipotchi brings a slow spread to the table with a mighty 115 Attack. This is a unique take on the idea, focusing on Knock Off and Ice Spinner damage. These is merit to a higher Attack for Pokemon like Slowking and Ice Spinner being more targeted than Ice Beam. The spread’s decent base 100 Special Attack further justifies the low Speed. Good offenses don’t limit defensive potential here; a 73/111/142 bulk profile reinforces that this CAP is a wall.

Defining Moves: Ice Beam (-10 BSR), Glare (-5 BSR)

Amamama focuses on mixed bulk with enough Speed to outpace a paralyzed Timid Gholdengo. The high HP elevates the overall defensive profile of the spread and its lower Special Attack and overall BSR is intentional: this was a spread designed around Glare and Ice Beam for coverage. Considering the power of Electric and Ice coverage in general, especially when you can Knock Off and Glare the Ground-types for even more progress, this spreads overall weaker stat profile balances the scales.
Fiiiine, I'll shelve tactical nuke Blissey. For now. This one is similar to my other WIP, but I've leant further into the bulk, especially on the Special side.

Dogfish44 delivers the slowest spread by far, but no other spread goes all-in on Special Defense like this one. With a solid base 100 HP and marvelous 180 Special Defense, it can weather even boosted +2 Chuggalong and +6 Make It Rain’s from Gholdengo. It’s Defense is enough to handle MixPult, and the low Speed has interesting applications with Volt Switch. Only 87 Special Attack and the abysmal Speed limit it offensively a great deal, but a fair exchange for this much defensive resilience.

I will leave it to kenn to wrap things up here.

Absolutely no qualms with this slate at all and not just because I made it lol and as discussed, it was the intention to give everyone that final subbed a spread a chance, but alas it wasn't in the cards for us to do so (maybe next time )

Another FE Fun Fact for y'all as we move onto the stats poll:

The Nintendo 64 was the only console not to see a Fire Emblem game. The Game Boy and Game Boy Color were the only handhelds to not see a Fire Emblem game as well.
