Hey all!

I am going to keep up this momentum and see if we can get three threads done in a little under a week! Over the next few days I will be posting the next Prevo update thread for movepools and abilities (if needed). Brattler and Cawdet will also be posted before the end of this week, to be polled before this time next week. Let's get all the Gen 5 prevos out of the way so we only have CaP 24 Prevo (if it has one), Gen 6 Prevo updates (mostly minor) and then we can get back to making the old prevos too!

As we all know, Aurumoth went through some interesting changes from its inception way back when. The below covers most of the basics:

Cupra and Argalis will also need a discussion made on their new Hidden Abilities as they currently do not have Illusion at all on the sim (and they won't be getting it either). They have original movepools too which I will post below along with Aurumoth's current movepool (which you can also reach by using the link above). I'd like to put forth Magic Guard for Cupra. On a flavor level, I think it fits perfectly, but since Cupra literally doesn't have a role, I think the only way to salvage it in CAP LC is to give it a super OP ability, and giving it one that can allow Cupra to be immune to Stealth Rock will likely help. Don't have much more to add for now, and I probably won't make a movepool, but I am likely to get involved when we make the next Prevo from scratch!
 
I like Run Away for Cupra, since it ties in to a lot of other larval Pokemon. I'd also suggest Overcoat for Argalis as a less extreme alternative to Sturdy. It also has the flavor of Argalis' protective shell, and it's a Hidden Ability for the Escavalier, Wormadam, and Forretress lines, all of which have armor or cover similar to Argalis.

I also like these abilities for them, but I'd also like to see Sturdy on Argalis and interestingly, Illuminate on Cupra

I'd actually like to second Magic Guard for Cupra. I find it pretty flavorful for a Psychic-type, and I'd like for the baby CAPs to at least have a fighting chance in the metagame. With Cupra rather...limited movepool and stat spread, it shouldn't be overpowered by any means.

Added Icy Wind for consistency since both evolve forms have it so why not give Cupra that move it also have wings for it to use.
Added Water Pulse since Cupra can learn Hydro Pump through breeding and to show that it can at have the ability to use water as an attack.
Added Shock Wave since its evolve forms can able to use some electric type moves Cupra should able to learn a weaker version of it.
Both Snore and Signal Beam are added (Snore is a universally learn move and Signal Beam for its a common bug type move).

Big WIP (currently stealing porg's outline), but I'd like to look at Tail Glow for a second. I think Tail Glow should be consistent throughout the family. For flavour reasons, all of the bugs seem to have the glowy aspect, and each would refer to the shiny aspect that all metals have. Also since Aurumoth is notable for having three different ways to set up, and its prevos have access to none of them seems weird. Competitively speaking, Cupra would at least have SOME worth of usage, as of rn its completely unviable. Cupra would still be outclassed by Syclar, but Tail Glow seems like a neat and useful addition.

I’m on board with giving both of them Tail Glow and giving Cupra Magic Guard. Flavor all checks out, and it gives Syclar a bit of competition.

As resident LCer, I disagree. Cupra has a meh speed tier and a garbage typing past switching in on Fighting types. Cupra also literally doesn't have a role without Illusion, and it'll will prob only be used as a situational revenge sweeper. Tail Glow doesn't upset the meta much, and it gives Cupra something to do. I guess if you are afraid of Syclar not being unique that's fine, but I feel it is justified and a positive.
 
I'm thinking of Heavy Metal for Cupra as its ironic since Aurumoth has Light Metal and then the unevolved one is heavier. I think of Steelworker or Swarm for Argalis. It continues the trend of Cupra getting lighter (kinda) and now its kinda steelworking its way with its silver wings and for Swarm, most bugs get this as an ability

Okay I am giving about 24 hours for you guys to polish up movepools and have discussions on Abilities.

Any other abilities haven't had many mentions or are one off comments. The above ones will go to polls tomorrow at the same time I make up the movepool poll (if I need to do one).
