Caribolt is able to act as a dangerous setup sweeper, using its good offensive typing, decent speed, and Galvanize boosted attacks to tear down defensive cores including Ting-Lu, Arghonaut, and Venomicon. It’s good matchup against Pokemon that could block its Rapid Spin, like Ting-Lu and Equilibra, also makes it a solid entry hazard removal option. Horn Leech gives Caribolt longevity while sweeping, as it can regain large amounts of HP from Pokemon such as Great Tusk and Equilibra, offsetting Double Edge’s recoil and chip damage from Rocky Helmet users like Landorus-T. Rapid Spin, along with being able to remove hazards against Ghost-types like Kitsunoh and Dragapult, also allows Caribolt to outspeed revenge killers like Zamazenta, Cinderace, and Dragapult. Lum Berry is the preferred item, as it blocks status from Kitsunoh, Cresceidon, and Gliscor. Leftovers and Magnet are other options, with the former helping to off recoil from Double Edge and the latter securing KOs on Clefable and Zapdos when boosted.
