SS OU CB Bulu+CB melm BO

Teambuilding Process:
So the mon this team is built around is CB:Tapu Bulu: as I decided I wanted to build teams around both it and CB:rillaboom: to see which I liked better. The next mon I added is an offensive ballon:Heatran: to create a potent Bulutran core and have a powerful rocker on the team. Than came CB:melmetal: to help Bulu break holes in the enemy team, especially since Melmetal would appreciate Bulu's terrain healing it and weakening incoming EQs. The next mon I added to the team is a standard specs:dragapult: to act as speed control and an actual cleaner for the team. After this is a standard spdef:landorus-therian: which does spdef lando things. Finally is an eject button:toxapex: which helps bolster the team's defensive backbone.

The Team

:sm/tapu bulu:
Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Horn Leech
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
The main mon of the team, Tapu Bulu has astonishing power with its wood hammer, can keep itself healthy with horn leech, can thrash steels with cc, and stone edge to hit flying types. The evs are just max attack and speed with an adamant nature to milk as much power out of this mon as possible. My one gripe with Cb bulu is its reliance on prediction, though the sheer power of wood hammer does help, it also cause bulu to loose tons of health whenever if does it, so be careful about that.

:sm/heatran:
Heatran @ Air Balloon
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Eruption
- Flash Cannon
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
The rocker of the team, Eruption for powerful stab, earth power to hit other trans, as well as not relying on eruption as it grows weaker over the course of a game, and flash cannon for secondary stab that hits opposing loon trans out of the sky. Creates a nice core with bulu as it enjoys bulu's terrain once tran's balloon is popped as it helps it keep its eruptions up to a decent level of power. One thing to note is that you need lando to toxic volcarona's cause otherwise tran can't 1v1 them as it's eruptions will get weaker, while the volc will simply roost off the damage.

:sm/melmetal:
Melmetal @ Choice Band
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 232 HP / 252 Atk / 24 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Thunder Punch
- Ice Punch
- Rock Slide
The secondary breaker of the team with Double Iron Bash for obligate nuclear stab, thunder punch to hit water types, ice punch to hit grounds like lando and more importantly garchomp. Rock slide is the most interchangeable move for stuff like toxic, stomping tantrum, and super power, but is used to hit stuff like zapdos out of the sky. The 24 speed evs outspeed reuniclus in a pinch, while the 252 adamant attack is used maximize melm's nuclear potential. The rest is put into hp to let melm survive as many odd hits as possible.

:sm/dragapult:
Dragapult @ Choice Specs
Ability: Infiltrator
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Draco Meteor
- Hydro Pump
- U-turn
Standard specs pult to help with the naturally slow nature of this team with melm, bulu, and tran's lower base speeds. Sball for highly spammable stab, draco meteor for a stab with some extra power behind it, u-turn to let pult pivot in and out of battle, and Hydro pump to hit stuff like heatran, though flamethrower could be used to ko ferrothorn for bulu and melm. Also appreciates Bulu's terrain keeping healthy throughtout the game to keep threats like volcanion and opposing trans in check once your own tran has lost its balloon.

:sm/landorus-therian:
Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 12 SpA / 244 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 22 Spe
- Defog
- Earth Power
- U-turn
- Toxic
Spdef lando does spdef lando things. Defog since tran is already our rocker, earth power to not get your stab weakened by grassy terrain, toxic to hit many of lando's switchins as well as keep rona in check, and u-turn to let lando act as a bulky pivot. The 12 spa evs let lando kill kartana's after rocks guarenteed, though you still have favorable odds of doing so without them. As said in the tran section, you'll need lando to toxic volcaronas to keep it from walling tran. 22 speed ivs to underspeed opposing landos to get slower u-turns and keep up momentum.

:sm/toxapex:
Toxapex @ Eject Button
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 112 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Baneful Bunker
- Haze
- Recover
- Scald
You already know what this mon does, but incase you don't, it switches into and keeps so much of the meta in check for this team. Baneful bunker lets pex spread poison, scout choice mons, and even has the added bonus of letting pex abuse Bulu's terrain much in the same way as a toxic protect melmetal would. The next three moves are standard fair with haze preventing pex from being setup fodder, recover working in tandem with regenerator and bulu's grassy terrain to keep pex healthy, and scald to not have pex being completely passive. Eject button lets pex act as a one time pivot that can also disrupt predicted u-turns.

Threats:

:Garchomp: -once again, keep up offensive pressure to keep it from setting up and keep bulu healthy or make sure grassy terrain is up for melmetal to revenge kill

:tapu lele: -our lack of a truly defensive steel type is a major reason why lele is such a threat here, basically keep bulu healthy to revenge kill, or bring pult in to revenge kill after it's killed something with focus blast.

:kartana: -a threat to many teams, but once again, the lack of a true defensive steel type bites when facing this thing, not unwinnable by any means, but definitely annoying.

:nidoking:/:volcanion: -Nigh unwallable nukes that have you have to be super aggressive against to keep from claiming kills.
