[SET COMMENTS]
Celebi's niche comes primarily from its typing and movepool. With a good speed tier and respectable bulk, it is able to serve as a useful pivot against Pokemon such as Zeraora and Conkeldurr, while walling most variants of Toxapex, Kommo-o, and Hippowdon. With Natural Cure, Celebi is also capable of absorbing status from things such as Seismitoad and Toxapex. Psychic is Celebi's main stab move, knocking out Conkeldurr from 72% and dealing significant damage to Toxapex, Kommo-o, Hippowdon, and Zeraora. Toxic is used to cripple opposing setup sweepers such as Bulk Up or Calm Mind Zeraora, as well as chip down bulkier Pokemon such as Hippowdon, Kommo-o, and Mandibuzz. Recover is used to provide reliable recovery that extends Celebi's longevity and defensive utility throughout the match. Stealth Rock can be used in the last slot as a form of role compression; however, Celebi struggles to keep up Rocks against common removers such as Corviknight and Mandibuzz. Giga Drain can be used to break Calm Mind Primarina's substitute and more easily deal with defensive threats such as Hippowdon and Seismitoad, and U-turn is an option to keep up momentum. Colbur Berry is the recommended item on Celebi, allowing it to take a Knock Off from Conkeldurr or Zeraora with ease. However, leftovers can be used to provide passive recovery. 80 EVs allows Celebi to outspeed Adamant Diggersby, while the remaining EVs are thrown into HP and Defense to maximize bulk.

Celebi's greatest weakness is its inability to handle defensive Steel-types such as Corviknight, Ferrothorn, and Jirachi. As such, it heavily appreciates Fire- and Electric-type support from things like Rotom-Heat, Zeraora, and Salazzle. Additionally, as Celebi functions as a reliable check to Pokemon such as Zeraora and Conkeldurr, teammates that are weak to these, such as Snorlax, Toxapex, and Hydreigon, appreciate Celebi's utility. As Celebi struggles to handle offensive threats such as Gengar, Hydreigon and Kyurem, it appreciates teammates such as Clefable and Kyurem that can cover those weaknesses.
