Quality Control Ceruledge [QC 0/2]

[SET]
Swords Dance (Ceruledge) @ Ghostium Z / Life Orb
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Bitter Blade
- Poltergeist
- Endure / Close Combat

[SET COMMENTS]
Ceruledge is a devastating wallbreaker that, if left unchecked, can cut through opposing teams with ease, creating opportunities for it's teammates or itself to sweep. Ghostium Z is crucial to Ceruledge's role as it gives it a one time nuke, allowing it to OHKO would be checks after a Swords Dance, such as Toxapex, Great Tusk, and Gliscor. Life Orb is an alterantive that gives more consistent damage, notably OHKOing Ting-Lu with Close Combat while still OHKOing Gliscor with Poltergeist. However, it's typically less consistent than Ghostium Z as it misses out on important KO benchmarks on the aforementioned Great Tusk and Gliscor, as well as on Zamazenta. It also dissuades running Endure, a move that allows Ceruledge to live a hit on 1 HP, making it much easier to proc Weak Armor for a sweep.

Ceruledge is most often found on offensive teams, Hyper Offense in particular, that can capitalize off of it's incredible wallbreaking capabilities. Hazard setters like Mega Diancie and Landorus-T are greatly appreciated as hazards can chip opposing Pokemon into KO range, such as allowing Ceruledge to OHKO an opposing Landorus-T with Never-Ending Nightmare and Raging Bolt with Poltergeist. Ceruledge is also rather slow before activating Weak Armor so Sticky Webs from Araquanid can also be helpful. Ceruledge is also extremely weak to priority, especially Kingambit's Sucker Punch, so Pokemon like Zamazenta and Great Tusk make good teammates. In return, Ceruledge weakens, or even outright KOes their checks, like Toxapex and Alomomola, enabling them to sweep. Great Tusk in particular makes a good partner due to its ability to remove Stealth Rocks with Rapid Spin. Similarly, Terapagos also serves as excellent hazard control, and in return appreciates Ceruledge helping to break through Ting-Lu and the aforementioned Toxapex. Other Pokemon such as Raging Bolt, Kingambit, and Iron Crown also benefit from Ceruledge overwhelming their checks such as Ting-Lu, Gliscor, and Great Tusk.

Ceruledge is a devastating wallbreaker that, if left unchecked, can cut through opposing teams with ease, creating opportunities for it's teammates or itself to sweep. You really, really have to discuss what Endure does at the very least, its not particularly intuitive and its a massive part of what makes it so hard for some teams to reliably beat. However, it's typically less consistent than Ghostium Z as it misses out on important KO benchmarks on the aforementioned Great Tusk and Gliscor, You just said that it still OHKOs Gliscor? Little confused here.as well as on Zamazenta. It also dissuades running Endure, a move that allows Ceruledge to live a hit on 1 HP, making it much easier to proc Weak Armor for a sweep.

Ceruledge is also rather slow before activating Weak Armor so Sticky Webs from Araquanid or Ribombee can also be helpful. Would also talk about how Fighting-types in general are good since you beat other Darks like Great Tusk and Mega TTar which aren't good matchups either. Include some other offensive Pokes that enjoy setting up on Special attackers that ceruledge doesn't like since specially based offense/BO teams can be hard for it.
