XY UU Champion and Queen

Hi, this is my first RMT. I recently created a team and wanted to get some insight on how I could improve it.

Machamp @ Assault Vest
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature

Dynamic Punch
Knock Off
Stone Edge
Heavy Slam

Wanted to try some new Pokemon that I rarely use, so I built my team around Machamp. It has a standard set. It's strong and able to take a few hits before going down. Machamp can annoy the opponent by confusing a Poke or removing an item.

Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature

Sludge Wave
Earth Power
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock

Fills the role of what Nidoking did, but can do it more reliably due to its extra bulk. Nidoqueen is still able to take down things such as Chesnaught or Florges easily. Nidoqueen has helped out more than Nidoking.

Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpDef / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature

Brave Bird
Sucker Punch
Pursuit
Superpower

Honchkrow is great for covering the big Psychic weakness on my team. Pursuit allows it to trap Chandelure and other things. I originally had Jolly Nature, but I enjoyed Adamant more after trying it.

Blastoise @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Rain Dish >>> Mega Launcher
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpAtk / 56 Spd
Modest Nature

Hydro Pump
Dark Pulse
Ice Beam
Rapid Spin

With the addition of Honchkrow to the team, I would definitely need a spinner to get rid of rocks. I like Mega Blastoise because it can take hits and do damage. I chose Ice Beam over Aura Sphere to catch Grass types on a possible switch.

407.gif

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature

Spikes
Giga Drain
Sludge Bomb
Hidden Power Fire

My team lacked fire and grass type moves before Roserade. With Roserade's great Special bulk, I can send her in on a special attacker and set up spikes. With Technician, Hidden Power's base power is 90. Roserade is all around great on this team and helps with Pokemon that were annoying before.

612.gif

Haxorus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature

Dragon Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Poison Jab

And last, but not least we have Haxorus. There were 2 reasons that I chose Haxorus. One, the other 5 original Pokemon covered all types except Dragon. Two, I had 2 Physical attackers and 3 Special attackers before adding Haxorus. Haxorus has been good on this team and has helped take out Crocunes.

Cons of this team that I've noticed:

-Lack of grass type moves
-Lack of fire type moves

-If Crocune manages to set up, I sometimes have trouble killing it.
-Espeon can be annoying

Things I've considered:
-Swapping Raikou with Heliolisk. Heliolisk counters Suicune because of Dry Skin and Grass Knot fits in.

Any opinions on how to improve this team will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. :]

Nidoking @ Life Orb

Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature

Sludge Wave
Earth Power
Ice Beam
Stealth Rock

If Chesnaught is on the field, Machamp won't be able to touch it. Nidoking can get rid of it with a Sludge Wave or Ice Beam. Nidoking helps get through Florges which I seem to encounter a lot of. I can use it to get up rocks if I have the opportunity.

243.gif

Raikou @ Life Orb
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature

Thunderbolt
Volt Switch
Hidden Power Ice
Extrasensory

I know Raikou is very reliable from using it many times in the past, so I used it to cover weaknesses on this team. It's fast and strong allowing it to do damage and switch out. Raikou also has decent bulk, allowing it to be able to switch into things.

Machamp @ Assault Vest
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Dynamic Punch
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge
- Heavy Slam

Nidoqueen (F) @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Ice Beam
- Stealth Rock

Honchkrow @ Life Orb
Ability: Moxie
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sucker Punch
- Pursuit
- Superpower

Blastoise @ Blastoisinite
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 200 HP / 252 SpA / 56 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
- Rapid Spin

Roserade @ Black Sludge
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Giga Drain
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Haxorus @ Lum Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

Hey there, nice UU team you have there. If you're having problems with Suicune, I'd recommend Roserade>Raikou. Here is a set to consider:

Roserade (F) @ Black Sludge/Life Orb
Ability: Technician/Natural Cure
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Spikes/Toxic Spikes
- Sludge Bomb
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Not only does this set help with your lack of grass moves and fire moves, but it also gives hazard support which your team is currently lacking.

Another suggestion I would make it running Adamant>Jolly on Honchkrow. Iirc Jolly Honchkrow doesn't outspeed anything Adamant Honchkrow does, but if you think you need it, it's up to you. You could also run sub on Honchkrow over Superpower, as Machamp already has your fighting coverage, but again, it's up to you. Otherwise this is a really well built UU team and I think it has a lot of potential. Hopefully I helped :].

Thanks for the reply!

I've tried out Roserade in place of Raikou. It does pretty well, but that leaves my team without something to switch directly into Flying types.
After trying Adamant Honchkrow, I do prefer it over Jolly. I decided to keep Superpower over Sub as I encountered some problems without Superpower earlier.

Hello! This team seems pretty cool! You may want to look into replacing Nidoking with Nidoqueen, though. Nidoqueen has extra bulk, which is always appreciated when muscling through walls. Nidoking is a great addition, but Nidoqueen may serve you better in the long run. Here's a sample set that I've used in the past:
---
Nidoqueen @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe
Modest Nature
- Sludge Wave
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast/Stealth Rock
- Ice Beam
Although Stealth Rock is usually the preferred option on Nidoqueen, I put it second because Fire Blast can take care of threatening ice types. Sludge Wave is Nidoqueen's main move, and the rest are just coverage moves (Earth Power + Ice Beam give great coverage for her).
---
Good luck on your team! =)

hey, your team seems pretty good, so I only have a few suggestions.

I would suggest replacing Bullet Punch with Heavy Slam, as while it does give you priority, it doesn';t really have good coverage and is quite weak. Heavy Slam lets you lure in the likes of Florges and Aromatisse and smack them, and iirc it 2HKOs both.

Next, I would replace Water Pulse on Mega Blastoise for Scald or Hydro Pump, the reason for this being that you already have essentially another STAB in Dark Pulse, and the confusion chance isn't really as worthwhile as the burn of Scald, or Hydro Pump's sheer power, even if the latter has the chance to miss.

I'm also gonna second Lunistrus's suggestion to change King to Queen, for reasons stated above as well as the fact that Queen can set up rocks more reliably thanks to its greater bulk. Although honestly, I wouldn't use Fire Blast in the current metagame, as Sludge Wave and Earth Power generally hit the same things and are more reliable, and with Fire Blast you lack a SR setter which is necessary on almost every single bulky offense team.

Hope I helped!

Thanks everyone for the replies!

Nidoqueen has been really helpful on this team! I've been able to get up rocks more and still do good damage!

While Bullet Punch priority was nice, I've been able to catch Florgeses with the Heavy Slam.

I would switch out Earthquake for Stone Edge on Haxorus, but that would allow Jirachi to come in for free. Without it, Haxorus would not be able to get through teams as effectively.
