Change in fireban policy

Why are firebanned users denied all access to Firebot? Can't it be like Policy Review where the user gets access to the forum but not allowed to post. This would help users who got firebanned to lurk more and become better posters.

Then there wouldn't be a punishment for making terrible posts. How would the users who were firebanned learn their lesson this way???

Firebans are supposed to teach people a lesson? Oh, you mean not to make bad posts? Ok...this is why they lose posting privileges. But not viewing the forum serves no purpose whatsoever, and as manav states how can one 'lurk' and "learn to firebot" without seeing it?

I agree with the suggestion, it should be viewable. Didn't know it wasn't tbh.

The status quo is technical consequence of the current implementation of "firebans", not a policy decision. Allowing viewing of the forum makes more sense but is moderately more effort to set up.

Fuck, manav made sense for once.

Well, I agree with the idea, how can a user learn the correct way without being able to see it? If its possible to do it i say we should
